George Cook (owner) was pleasant and very thorough. He was responsive to my request and even did a temporary fix of my old door while awaiting delivery of new door. I highly recommend Annapolis Garage Door!

I emailed for an estimate, and George called me within 20 minutes of sending the email. I described what I needed and he gave me a quote over the phone. We set up the install date and he ended up installing it while I was not there (I forgot about the appointment). Great work and I appreciate that he took the initiative to do the work even though I didn't show up.

My ONLY complaint was that George was a little slow returning phone calls, but once I reached him, he did the estimate, ordered the door and installed it quickly--within 2 weeks. He arrived when he said he would, took less time than estimated to install the door and left everything clean. The door looks great. I only wish I had done this a few years ago. It was so easy.

After requesting information and an initial quote to replace a garage door, George stopped by to provide an onsite evaluation and confirm the initial estimate. He inspected the garage door and reviewed options with me. He was very thorough and professional. Since I am considering major renovations to the home, including the garage, he suggested it would be best to wait. Based on his inspection, It appeared the door could continue to operate safely. It is rare these days with franchise or large corporate operations to get this kind of professional, pragmatic service. Most service techs are trained to up sell because it is all about generating revenue for the business, not delivering value to the customer, which sometimes may not be a sale. In this case George provided me with his best professional advice and guided be to an outcome that made sense for me. What I do know is that when the opportunity comes to replace one or both doors as part of the renovation, I will call only Annapolis Garage Doors. Very good company -- porblem with tenant's garage door opener. Company worked around tenant's schedule, arrived promptly and fixed the door. Despite age of opener, repair went without a hitch and company tuned up both doors. Excellent!

Annapolis Garage Door responded instantly to my request for a quote. They were patient with my choices, and made sensible recommendations. They came out and measured very quickly, and their pricing of the options was significantly better than any other installer. They beat the expected delivery date, and were very communicative. On delivery date, I had to make the appointment 30 minutes earlier (to 7:30am). I called left a message late in the evening, and got a call-back saying yes. He arrived within 1 MINUTE of the scheduled time. His helper was feeling under the weather, and you could tell he sincerely cared for his employee. GREAT experience.

My story with George starts probably a month or more before I actually purchased Garage doors from him. I had a broken spring back in late October / early November. I called Annapolis Garage Doors to come and fix the spring, and to give me an estimate on replacing my 17 year old garage doors that had seen better days. George arrived to fix my spring (free of charge for a few minutes work). George also gave me an estimate for two new garage doors as well as replacing the expansion springs on both doors with a Torsion spring. The estimate was for the $1454. I tried to pay George for his time on fixing my spring, but he said no. I promised to have him come and install the new garage doors, as the estimate was within a range I was expecting, but I was waiting to have the money to do so. One month later in early December, I had the money available and called George to come and install the new ones. George arrived on the 12th at the appointed time and proceeded to work diligently to get my old doors/springs removed then get the new doors/Torsion springs installed and then adjust everything accordingly. Everything worked beautifully and I can say that with the new nylon rollers, the new torsion spring, and the new garage doors, the whole assembly on both doors is 50% quieter in operation than the old doors. I also appreciate the additional warranty that George puts on the doors on his own, 3 years parts & labor. I have had the pleasure of finding a few gems regarding contractors over the years, and George is the newest gem! What a great person, with high integrity, and strong work ethic, and very friendly and easy to talk to. I recommend George highly, and will tell you that if you don't hire him for doing your garage doors, you are the one that will be missing out! I have no further concerns or worries with respect to my garage doors, because I now know where to go at any time, only one place: Annapolis Garage Doors!

Called for service on a Friday afternoon and since it wasn't an emergency we scheduled a Monday morning repair. He arrived as scheduled and promptly performed repair work for the agreed upon price. Would definitely recommend.

Mr. Cook made two visits- the first to diagnose the problems with the garage door, and the second to repair and replace the broken spring and axle, and (as it turned out) the electric opener. In both events, he arrived on time after phoning to advise me when he'd be here. He was quick, professional and got right to work. He provided clear estimates of what everything would cost and also tried diligently to save the old garage door opener- which was not able to close the door against the new and stronger spring- before advising me to replace it. After he was done, he cleaned up everything including all the packing materials. AGD provides an additional personal warranty for all the work done by them- the factory warranty is essentially a backup. Their personal warranty on everything done here is two years. It's a little difficult to find words to describe Mr. Cook and the level of service and professionalism he showed, but here goes: this man is a paragon of decency and skill. He's experienced and knowledgeable, to be sure, but he's also cheerful, fast, and conscientious. What impressed me the most was his effort to repair the old opener system- reconnecting the limit switches, adjusting the system, and trying to get the old opener to work with the new axle and spring. He didn't suggest a new opener- I did. You can't do better than he did. I wish I had three more garage doors for this man to work on. It's very seldom in life that you get to see someone do work at this quality level, and with this kind of positive attitude. Like I said, he's a paragon. If there was a grade higher than A, he'd get it.

I called, he came when scheduled, did the work as agreed. Very pleasant and professional. I have used them before, in fact they installed the garage door a decade or so ago.

Called Annapolis Garage Doors afterhours to assess a damaged garage door. Early the very next morning they appeared, assessed the damage, and clearly explained why the existing door and frame were damaged beyond repair, plus the cause of the problem. They ordered a replacement door and within a few short days returned to install it. They were so quiet and efficient, that they were done quickly without any disruption to us. We highly recommend this contractor! They epitomize great customer service and skill.

Gave a clear explanation of what he had repaired, and pointed out some items to watch for, but NO attempt to push additional parts or services.

George took down the old openers and the tracks, extended my tracks to the ceiling and put in all new openers.

the experience was a very good one. The initial contact with the company was professional, and it was easy to talk to a person to get an appointment for an estimate. The person who did the estimate was on time, and provided options for us taking into account our preferences and budget. The pricing was competitive, and good overall. The installer showed up a bit early for the appointment, but that was fine. He was professional and worked diligently. He did a reasonably good job of cleaning up, but did leave behind some screws on the floor of the garage that we had to sweep up later. When finished, he walked me through what he had done. All in all, I would recommend this company.

Mr. Cook was wonderful to work with. He was professional and friendly . He is very thorough about his job and you know you are working with a honest man. I would work with him again in a heart beat. He offered to call him if I heard any creaks or anything unusual and he would come out and check it. The door and opener are very quiet.

We had two garage doors needing repair. One would not go down and the other was off its tracks (due to my backing into it). George came out to our home to give us an estimate. He returned about a week later with all the necessary parts. He fixed both garage doors to our complete satisfaction. We were really happy with George's work. He arrived on time both times he visited our home and was extremely professional. We were especially happy with the price because one week prior to contacting Annapolis Garage Doors, a competitor told us it would be $1200 to fix one door and $1600 to replace one door!! I will review that awful company in a separate review.I rarely find excellent customer service anymore, but I did find it at Annapolis Garage Doors.
