Could not have gone better. Mr. Cook replaced both cables, lubed where needed, reinforced a broken hanger and tightened loose screws and bolts. He made sure the door worked smoothly and quietly. He also tightened bolts and lubricated a second door on his own. In short, he did more than we expected. The work took about an hour.

I couldn't have asked for a more professional and helpful person than George Cook. All the work was done efficiently and beyond my expectation. In addition, Mr. Cook is a true professional: knowledgeable, courteous, and willing to go above and beyond.

Our garage door suddenly broke on Easter weekend and we found Annapolis Garage Door on Angie's list. We called and George, the owner picked up the phone. He arrived within 30 minutes and diagnosed the problem and had to order replacement parts. Then he returned early Saturday (exactly as scheduled) to replace the spring. He added another spring for better performance of the door. He also did a full tune-up and lubrication, safety inspection of the door. George was outstanding and we would never call anyone else for garage door issues. It was a holiday weekend and he dropped everything in order to meet our needs!!

Great. Our technician was very nice and super efficient.

When he came I paid him in cash. He didn't bill me. He did the work and I paid him that day. I don't use him all the time because they do the service on them but it is a lot of money. As long as mine is working, if it ain't broken, don't fix it. He is very good. I think he and that neighbor thought I was crazy until I proved it to them.

I was completely pleased with the service from initial phone call to job completion. Very nice being able to talk on the phone directly with the owner/tech when setting up the appointment. He asked detailed questions and covered all of my options so there were no surprises when he showed up. Felt like he wanted me to be informed even if I decided not to hire him and that means a lot (especially since I had just sent one bait-and-switch company away for exceeding their initial estimate for ridiculously unnecessary part replacements). He completed the repair job and gave the system a good lubrication and heath check. I will absolutely recommend this company to anyone and I will use this company for all future garage door service.

Working with George of Annapolis Garage Doors was a real pleasure. After our initial call, he replied promptly and we set a time for him to come over and give us an estimate. He was very clear and professional and reviewed all our options. Our 25 year old doors were rotting, the mechanism for one of them was broken and the openers hadn't worked in years. I had a garage built and needed a contractor to install a door and opener. I called George based on the Angie's List reviews I read which were very good reviews. George was great to deal with. He dropped off door finish samples and answered all my questions. When I chose the door, finish and options I wanted, he took it from there. He obtained the door and held it until the garage construction was finished. He had to solve a couple of installation issues because of the way the garage was built. He did so easily with the co-operation of the builder. All I had to do was basically sign the check. The door and opener were installed nicely. It was exactly what I ordered, looks great and works flawlessly. George was good at explaining how to use the opener. He even programmed my truck to work with the opener. I haven't had any issues with the installation, but if I do, I am confident that a call to George will get them resolved easily. I highly recommend him if you are need of a garage door, service or repair. It was obvious to me that he's been doing this a long time and knows his stuff.

George was excellent. Called him only the day before and he came and performed the work perfectly. Very pleased. Highly recommended.

He arrived ahead of appointment; straight forward

Everything went absolutely perfect and as was planned. Mr. Cook was great to work with. Everything went as he promised in our initial meeting. It is so refreshing to meet someone that is honest and does his best every job. He takes pride in his work. All the reviews here on Angie's list are correct and true. If you are getting a garage door installed, Mr. Cook is the guy you want.

We thought we need to replace our doors but George Cook said he could repair them for less than 20% of the cost. His final bill was even less. Came promptly. Doors are now aligned, smooth operating and have new weather seals.

George arrived on time, did a professional job, the price was exactly what was quoted and he answered all my questions. He was also thorough in going over all the features of the new units, sensors, door openers and keypads. I would highly recommend him.

Mr. Cook was great. One of the springs on the garage door broke and we could not lift the door, leaving us stranded. I called late on a Sat. night and he returned my call early on Sunday. Garage door and opener work better than ever. This a 50 year old door and 30 year old opener. Definitely will use him again and recommend to family and friends. Most impressed by professionalism.

My Garage door opener is about 20 years old and the door is about 12 years old. Recently it has begun to stop on occasion either going up or down. It was also groaning and creaking more than usual. I called Annap Garage doors. Initially they tried to talk me through my own inspection and checking w/o having a service call, which I appreciated, but since my wife depends on the door more than myself, I requested that they come and take a look. We settled on a time a few days out and George arrived punctually, listened to the door and said it needed a tune up. He adjusted the opener motor and lubricated all the parts while showing me how I could do this by myself and that I should at least do it once/year, but more frequently was recommended. He tested the safety features and all was in fine working order. He also advised my opener was a true gray beard in that typical life is about 14 years, but that it was functioning flawlessly and might continue to operate for years to come. When he left, the door operation was MUCH smoother and quieter than before he serviced it. I am very pleased and will call them again if any problems develop.

George added weather stripping all around the garage door which was never completed when the home was built. He worked very efficiently and neatly.

Mr. Cook checked it out and in his opinion it would work and would not have to be replaced. He performed a tune-up and the door works well. I was impressed by his professionalism. I am glad that he wasn't pushing a door opener. As the president of my HOA I would recommend him to anyone in my commmunity.

lGeorge contacted me promptly after I left a voice msg. He arrived at the time he said he would and my husband thought he was very knowledgable and accommodating. He told me over the phone that he would check to see if the motor could be repaired but would have a replacement with him if it could not. I was pretty sure it was shot but I didn't think to mention that it was a heavy wooden single door for a two car garage. After he checked it out he provided several options to my husband and he opted to go with a stronger motor. George special ordered the motor and actually installed it on Labor Day. I was blown away that he would come out on a holiday, but he came early, got everything installed, and made us happy campers. I should mention that I told him the work could wait until Tuesday, but he said since he got the new components he would come on that Monday. George does excellent work, he performed over and above our expectations. One last thing, he also made a repair that stopped the door from sounding like a bridge ramp dropping over a moat, it's so much more quiet now.

Repair went well. I reported only the non-functioning door but repair went so well that I authorized tune up of a partially defective door. Both were repaired during 90 minutes for a very reasonable price,

George and Lisa were responsive to my initial inquiry for an estimate to replace our two wood garage doors. They provided both the base price along with the various combinations of window options I requested. When we were ready to order George came out to measure and make sure nothing unusual was required for the install. We placed the order with no deposit required. The doors were ready in a couple of weeks. George arrived on schedule and finished in half a day. He provided a thorough explanation of the warranty and any needed maintenance. Two noteworthy items, George warranties the doors beyond the manufacturers warranty, and second he adjusted and lubricated the existing door openers even though he had not installed them. All in all this was an excellent experience. Its nice to see that there are still those who take pride in their work.
