Blue moon granite

OUTSTANDING!! They were accurate in their measurements, neat in the demolition and installation and responsive to our concerns. Couldn't have been better! Following online specifications for our new gas range (which were out of date), they installed a "bridge" or "bar" at the back of the two counters on either side of the opening for the range. Since the specs were outdated, the range would have extended too far in the front. When the installing plumber was unable to remove the "bridge", we called Blue Moon, and the owner, Murat, agreed to come remove the bridge. Which they did the same day (and now the range fits). This is EXTRAORDINARY service, and I wish I could give them more than an "A" (A++?) I'd recommend them to anyone who wants good workmanship at a reasonable price and with great customer service. And, oh yeah, the new Quartz countertops are beautiful and amazing!

Blue Moon Granite is a diamond in the rough and a home owners dream come true. If you just wanted to do a granite counter top without a full kitchen remodel, then these are the go to guys. Murat Atay, the owner of the company is the master granite craftsman. He also does the decision of where and how to cut the granite to minimize the length of the joints. And he himself will come to your house to install the granite. We wanted to replace our Corian counter top with Granite without doing a whole remodel and were looking for the perfect granite company. Interestingly, I came to know about Blue Moon Granite while reading the reviews of another kitchen remodeling contractor in Angie's List. In one of the customer reviews I read that the granite counter top, which was part of a major kitchen remodel done for that customer, was sub-contracted to Blue Moon Granite by the kitchen remodeling general contractor. The customer commented very highly of the granite work done by Blue Moon even though they were reviewing the general contractor in that post. Since I was aware that the granite counter top work is a specialized skill and most contractors outsource that to a specialist, I thought I should go directly to Blue Moon. I found them on Angie's list only after I searched using their name ? with perfect five star reviews for all categories and no negative reviews. Since they have only few numbers of reviews, Blue Moon will not come up at the top if you search for "granite counter top" work. Very satisfied with this information, we emailed them with the details of our work. They promptly responded and told us to send the measurements. Then they responded with the estimate. We also went to their office to see the granite samples - the office was closed at that time even though it was during their office hours. (This is not a big company - so if the owner or the sole employee steps out, they need to close the office). We called the company number while we were in front of their closed office. The call was routed to the owner (Murat) who instantly apologized even though we didn't setup an appointment, and asked us to wait for 10 minutes since he is shopping for some items in the nearby Home Depot. Murat promptly came back to the office in about 10 minutes and showed us the granite samples. Behind their office is their huge granite workshop where many types of granite slabs are available for you to see and select from. Note that this it is not a granite yard -so if you?re looking for some special variety of granite you may not find it here - but Murat would be able to pick it up for you as long as you tell him the granite company and the specifics you need. To make the long story short, Murat stayed with us long past his normal office hours to explain all the details regarding various granites and took time to show us all the different types of designs. We decided on a granite piece which was readily in stock at his workshop and setup the day to do the templating. On the scheduled templating day, one of his staff members (Mr. Mark) came to do the templating. He listened well to some of the improvements we wanted to do when they install the new counter top. About a week after the templating Murat himself came for the installation with his assistant. In a matter of two to three hours all the work was done, the place was cleaned up for us to enjoy the brand new gleaming granite counter top. Thank you Murat and his team for the perfect work they did for us. An accountable, owner-operated small business does indeed make a huge difference! We are honored to support such dedicated skilled craftsmen. Note to other customers: This is a small company. So don't expect their office phone getting answered whenever you call. Once you establish your first contact with Murat you can always touch base with him using his direct number.

I called these guys because I needed countertops in a hurry for a kitchen remodel I was doing in a house I am trying to sell. When these guys heard my timeline, they shuffled their orders to meet it, and then got the job done a day earlier than that! The stone was cut and installed professionally and well. The salesman guided me through the whole process, and gave great advice on getting the details right, down to the best ways to install the faucet and mount the sink to look the best. I wouldn't hesitate to use these guys again, even if I weren't in such a hurry. Great service, great price.

He's listed as Mid Atlantic Granite Company and just changed his name to Blue Moon Granite. He did a good job and even gave me more than I bargained for. I got a granite backsplash for no additional cost and he did a real neat job and went beyond the call of duty I would say. I think he had a sense of creativity. I got about 5 or 6 different estimates and besides giving me a very competitive price I liked the fact that he looked at features of my kitchen that he could improve by putting on the granite. For example he said I could expand my island so we could put some chairs underneath and eat there and right behind the sink he could just take the granite right up so that I have an automatic backsplash and it's easier to clean. No one else even suggested that and he didn't add anything more to the measurements. He just threw that in and said that at any rate he was going to have extra stone and could do that and I really appreciated that. I hadn't thought about it and it's made our island more user friendly. We can sit right here and eat and I have the backsplash behind the sink and I can just wipe it. His price still came up more competitive than anyone else. I have a real huge kitchen and needed two slabs of granite and I just paid $3,000 with all those extra features and other estimates were as much as $5,000. I got a class "B". Not the bottom, but the second level granite. There was a little detail that I have to call him back on with the caulking behind the backsplash and the counter that I wish he would have done the first time. He's not very responsive.
