This is the fourth time with Jared and it was as good as all the others. Great at getting done what needs to get done, equally as good at recommending things that need doing, and overall excellent quality of work. Definitely a regular go-to for us for future work and needs.

Steffy Home is a fair, reliable, and experienced home renovation service. Jared Steffy, the owner of Steffy Home, was thoroughly professional throughout our 3 month renovation project and easy to work with. From the outset, he established a good rapport with me and sustained it throughout the project. Jared did the carpentry and many of the electrical and plumbing tasks on his own. This included fabricating a detailed mantle for our fireplace and installing seeming countless recessed lights. When needed, he enlisted experienced professionals to help with other jobs, including demolition and hauling; painting; flooring, window, and appliance instillation; and, complicated electrical work. He personally supervised all of the work and was on the job site every day. In addition, he worked well with other professionals that we hired, including our designer, custom cabinet maker, and our tile and counter top suppliers. Jared sought to save us costs where he could, but never at the expense of a quality job. He was not only receptive to change orders, but provided excellent tips and suggestions for helping us make our ideas workable. Jared is the third general contractor we worked have worked with. While we were satisfied with the services we had received from other contractors, the quality of Jared's work and his responsiveness to our needs was markedly better. One testament to Jared's approach was the refreshingly short punch list we ended up with at the end of the job.

A+ experience. Outstanding experience overall. Jared was very easy to communicate with and responsive to messages. In setting up the project, we emailed back and forth several times. When I finally got all the materials ready, I contacted him on a Mon and he was out that Weds to do the work. He worked nonstop the whole day, and made several unplanned repairs that were needed. He made suggestions on how to resolve unforeseen issues. The quality of his work was excellent, and the room looks great. He also made efforts to keep our house clean, such as using tarps, changing his shoes, etc. He worked past the original planned end time to get the job done, and he also graciously took away all the trash and debris at no additional cost, which we really appreciated. We plan to use him again to do similar work on a second bathroom, and he gave helpful recommendations for the next project. So great experience all around, from ease of communications, to quick scheduling, to quality of work, to providing above and beyond effort. I would highly recommend.

The basement looks great. Jared was awesome - he gave suggestions when we needed them (sometimes making recommendations that we hadn't thought of but were the best option), the work is top quality, and the price was the best out of multiple proposals we got from other companies. Jared is a pleasure to work with and we will definitely be hiring him to do more projects around our house.

Jared is very easy to speak with. He got to work as soon as he arrived and completed all of the above projects within an 8 hour day. Everything was done well and the TV as well as the mirrors look great. He also confirms with you at the end of the job that you are satisfied with the work. He clearly takes pride in what he does. We have already started working on our to do list for the next time!

It went perfectly. I really appreciate his design and problem-solving skills. He recommended using some old wood planks I had to frame the fireplace to go with the rustic look of the room. It was a perfect suggestion. He was on time, worked hard, worked beyond his hours. His rates are reasonable and he is pleasant to be around. I will definitely hire him again. Already listing things for him to remodel and/or fix.

Jared is a straight shooter and great to work with.

This was OUTSTANDING. Jared is a total professional. He got here at about 9 and stayed till 6. Worked on the list of jobs that I provided to him and in addition worked on replacing the garbage disposal in our kitchen. We were suspecting it was on the way out and when he went to replace the faucet in the kitchen we discovered that the base of the disposal unit was leading water. So what started out as 13 items to get done turned into 14 and he got everything done. I never had a sense he was in a rush, he simply methodically went through our list, item by item, and at the end of the day everything was done. I can't recommend this guy any more strongly - if you want a job well done this is the man you want at your house, this is they guy you want to work with, he's just flat out outstanding.

Went great! Jared and Frank were wonderful to work. Very professional, helpful in answering all my questions. I am requesting a bid from them on many small things that need to be done before I sell my home.

Jared was committed to do a perfect job. He stayed a bit over his time to finish the job that he started. He used a lot of creative solutions to issues that came up during the project. I will be using Jared in future. He works hard to understand the project that you want to get done, and he works hes best to make the project happen. I highly recommend him.

Jared is a pleasure to work with. He is courteous, professional, and does excellent work. He is also trustworthy; I have used him for several projects through the years, and will continue to do so. I am very pleased with his service and his finished products are always beautiful. In the past he has refinished kitchen cabinets and tiled both my kitchen back splash and bathroom. The finished product was beautiful and I am sure it increased the value of my home.

They were very professional. They went beyond the call of duty.

Not only did he do the work but he finished taking down the wall to the proper height, installed new outlets and junction box and gave us many helpful suggestions regarding other facets of our remodeling project which we wanted to do ourselves. He finished stabilizing the wall for us and added wiring for light fixtures. We will call him for additional help when we are ready to put in additional wiring and lighting. He came when he said he was coming and even though he had a new long term job lined up he managed to find time to integrate his available time with ours. He listened to our ideas and listed pros and cons that we should consider. He just happened to be there when my computer betrayed me and talked me through the problem which is why I am able to write this review. He is a true jack of all trades.

We had Jared replace 3 vanities & in 3 separate bathrooms. He also co-ordinate installation of the granite tops with the granite company. He tore down wallpaper in 2 of the bathrooms, repair ed, sanded & painted all 3 rooms. He replaced medicine cabinets, & mirrors. In 2 bathrooms he replaced tile floors. He also replaced other misc items in all bathrooms. We had a situation in the powder room. The new vanity was more narrow then the old one. Replacement would have left an exposed drain pipe. We had an extra toe kick not being used for the vanity. He designed a cute little bench to box in the pipe which was attached to the side of the vanity. This will be used to set a wastebasket on. My husband & I are so happy with the work. Jared was very good about cleaning up everyday before he left. He was also very accommodating and through. He always made sure we had a shower & vanity to use everyday. After being paid for the job, he has checked in with me to see if there are any other issues or punchout items to come back and take care. I would not hesitate to recommend Jared for any home improvement work. I was dreading the project, but Jared has been the easiest contractor I have worked with. I hope to use him again.

Jared communicated easily and promptly with me via email and phone to schedule the work. He was on time and worked quickly. He was prepared to do other work I'd originally asked, but I hadn't cleaned up enough of the garage for him to be able to work--however I will call him back when the weather is warmer to build organization into the garage! Jared is personable and professional, and the quality of his work is excellent. I appreciated that he didn't mind doing what is I'm sure a very small job.

It was a good experience. They were very responsive to our needs. They were very accommodating to our time schedule. They were professional, punctual and overall, they were very easy to work with.

Before selecting Steffy Solutions, I contacted 3 companies (including Steffy Solutions) that had good reviews on Angie's List. One company said it would take them 3 weeks JUST to send someone out to provide a quote. I immediately removed them from the list. The second company never called me back after I left a voicemail. Compare to Jared (the business owner) who returned my voicemail within an hour or so. I would never hired anyone to do this sort of work before, so after speaking with Jared, I called my cousin who has a lot of experience with contractors, and she said the price was good and the # of days required reasonable. Jared, the owner of the company, did all the work for us. He was wonderful! Our job was supposed to take 3 days; in the end it took 4 days simply because we kept giving him more things to do (he was able to just continue into a weekend, so there was no break in the work), and even then, we could have used him for longer! PROJECTOR So, originally, the idea was to simply attach the projector wires to the ceiling/wall and cover them up with "tracking." Jared had bought a tracking kit that he brought with him. I had originally thought the tracking wouldn't be too obvious since it could run down inside a window, but because we decided to install a blind, the tracking could no longer go in the window area. So Jared suggested burying the wires behind the wall. I knew this was possible even before, but when I had asked around previously for the cost, it was more than what I wanted to spend on it. But the additional time for Jared to do it and that additional cost was less than what others had told me, so we decided to have him go ahead and do this. In the process, he realized that we had hung the projector on the ceiling straight into drywall, and with the metal mount, it was really too heavy for the drywall (which we kind of already knew). So he took a beam of plywood and built it into the ceiling, so now the projector could screw into a stud behind the drywall. Then he did some electrical rewiring in order to create a power outlet in the ceiling that the projector plugs into. (He explained that it's against code to run power cables behind the wall.) He then ran the USB and HDMI cables from the projector up through the ceiling and then behind the wall, so that it then came out near the floor where I wanted it. It's a very clean-looking solution, and I think it might be what I like best about the "new" room! (Plus, now that the projector is attached securely to a stud, my husband will no longer complain when I ask him to take it down when I have to give presentations off site.) PAINTING THE ROOM / HALLWAY This was pretty straightforward, though a lot of work I think, as he had to remove then reattach the electrical outlet covers and the shoe moulding from around the hardwood floors. There were also four doors in the room/hallway to paint plus another set of french doors, as well as 2 columns. EXTERIOR FRONT DOOR Our house is about 11 years old, and we've never done any work on it before. So the front door looked old - the stain was coming off, some of the paint around the trim was peeling, and there was some wood rot at the base of the trim. I wanted Jared to "make it look new." Jared painted the door and trim, and also repaired the wood rot (as opposed to simply painting over it). It looks great! We also wanted to replace the door handle which was rusting, but hadn't because we thought it would mean getting a locksmith involved or changing the key. Jared told us that we could just buy a door handle at Home Depot and ask Home Depot to rekey it - my husband went out to buy the door handle, that Jared then installed, and problem solved! OVERALL Overall, Jared is personable, friendly, and easy to work with. He was good at coming up with solutions for problems we showed him. He shows up on time and cleans up after himself. His fees are very reasonable, and in fact, I'm guessing that the quality of his work is worth more than he charges. I would definitely hire him again and highly recommend him.

We are extremely pleased with the kitchen up-date that Jared Steffy has performed at our home. We have received many compliments on our new kitchen. His workmanship is high quality, he is very professional, meticulous and very easy to work with. We really appreciated his advise and input on how to handle certain issues that emerged during the project. The communication with him from start to finish of the project was prompt and effective. We couldn't be happier and will definitely hire his services again and recommend him to all our friends and neighbors.

We contracted with Jared to install a built in bookcase for a living room wall with a nine foot ceiling. I came up with the design and with the help of his partner Chase, they were able to duplicate the design exactly. He was very patient with all of our questions and concerns. He did a high quality job and absolutely transformed the look of our living room. He is exceptionally easy to work with and we look forward to doing more projects with him in the future.

Jared was professional and very easy to work with. His work was priced as estimated, price was very reasonable and all required insurance paperwork was completed in the time and manner required. I plan to call on him again for my next home improvement project.

This was definitely a great experience from start to finish. I obtained several estimates and theirs was mid-range. Jared and his staff were friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Jared in particular was wonderful to work with--he offered his expertise and opinions but didn't force anything on me, and he was flexible and very amenable to a few add-ons and changes throughout the course of the project. The final invoice was very close to the original estimate, and the duration of the project was also fairly close to the original time-frame. Overall, he is the best contractor I've worked with and I would recommend him in a second!

Mr. Steffy was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He gave a lot of useful information and didn?t pressure us to do anything. He offered many suggestions for fixes that I could do myself, to save some money, and his ballpark quote was extremely reasonable. He was very patient when, due to health issues, it took a while for my wife and me to select and purchase a replacement door.
