Jeff came to assess the damage and was very knowledgeable and made several excellent recommendations. Jeff was professional and polite and worked with us on getting what we wanted at a fair price. Steve and Doug completed the work in only 4 days! Now we have a beautiful new deck. We are extremely satisfied with the whole experience and would recommend Homecraft Builders to friends and family.

It was great! They did a thorough estimate, it was the least expensive and Jeff was very professional. We were told the job would take about 2 weeks and it actually took a little less. The deck looks great! We are very happy. We intend to hire this company again when it’s time to do the siding on our house.

The job went very well. Our initial evening meeting with Marc was very non confrontational and we were very comfortable with his experience. He went over the types of materials and showed pictures of previous jobs. We choose to start in late fall/early winter so we could continue to enjoy the deck during the summer months. The job took about 5 weeks to fully complete. Marc included two crews as needed to complete the job which were onsite each day. On completion they fully cleaned the area and landscaped with grass seed to help the work area recover. I would highly recommend considering Homecraft for completing any small to mid size home project.

Jeff and his team were awesome. They were extremely professional throughout the entire process. With a baby at home, I appreciated the respectful manner in which they conducted themselves working in and around my home. The finished product turned out great. They helped me pick the exact materials that I needed to make my vision come to fruition. I love how it turned out and can't wait to show it off to friends. I will definitely choose Homecraft builders for any future home projects.

Jeff was very attentive at first. He knew what needed to be done and also made a few good suggestions, all while keeping my project desires in mind. His Lead Carpenter completed the majority of the work flawlessly. A true professional. The problem is with the finish trim work. Poorly mitered joints and an unacceptable finish nailing job, that looks like he just wanted to get done and move on. He did not even conceal the fastener heads. See attached photos. When I brought this to his attention, he responded via email said, "That is how we do every job.", "You can use white caulk if you want to seal the seams", and, "That is the best I can do.". If that were true, then perhaps he shouldn't be using that brand of trim product and / or, should leave the finish work to his Lead Carpenter. In a subsequent email to me regarding my complaint, he wrote that this was the "worst experience of my career" and "I thought...I was going to have a nervous breakdown.". He went on to ask that I not contact him in the future. Not a customer savvy response! In all fairness, he did two or three extra tasks for me. None of which were expensive or out of the scope of work agreed upon. He demonstrated good will and good customer service in that respect. However, the sloppy finish work, and his unprofessional responses to my complaint, takes all the luster out of an otherwise great job. I will not recommend this Company because of the unacceptable work and the even more unacceptable response to the flaws that I identified.

Jeff and his team are great. Jeff as very easy to work with during the design phase, had lots of good ideas, very flexible and receptive to our input. Our new deck is beautiful, looks even better than we hoped, and will probably outlast the house. He was always on time and professional, and his team was very focused and hard working. Great company - will recommend to my friends and neighbors.

Jeff was very professional at all times, kept us in the loop for timing estimate (we had the deck installed at peak season). Despite a heat wave, he and his crew were there for 8 hours/day for a week to get the job done. Really great experience - Jeff did a fantastic job and I would recommend Homecraft to anyone. The deck looks beautiful! Jeff and his crew were extremely professional, on time, and thorough! Perfection at its best! At one point, Jeff did not like the quality of one of the materials used, so he removed and replaced it! I would have never known the difference. I truly believe that speaks to his professionalism, honesty, and guarantee of his work, and satisfaction of his customers! I am EXTREMELY pleased with the outcome...see for yourself in the photo! Jeff provided an estimate last year but we were unable to move ahead with the project due to unforeseen circumstances. We contacted Jeff again this year and not only did he honor last year's quote but his crew did a great job in building our deck. There were a couple of minor follow up issues which he quickly addressed. Also, county permits and approvals were all received & provided in a timely manner. Would strongly recommend Homecraft Builders.

I made an appointment to meet Jeff at the house on a weekday. He arrived promptly and was very friendly. We looked over the existing deck and decided a rebuild made the most sense. Jeff was insightful and creative in generating ideas for a replacement deck layout. Our budding project relationship seemed to be going great. However, Jeff did fall short in a few areas. Firstly, he introduced the idea of doing the rebuild without a permit. I'm not sure why a contractor would suggest this, but he did. Secondly, when I mentioned his visit and estimate was our first, he seemed to become disinterested in the project. He did promise to put together an estimate (after flashing a preliminary number on his calculator app). A couple of weeks later, I reached out to him by email. He wrote back quickly to say that he has too much business currently and could not take on our project. Not sure exactly what happened, as he was excited to see my deck two weeks prior, but a balked at taking on the project. Given his reluctance to get permits, it's probably for the best.

We could not be happier with our new deck. Jeff always responded quickly to my questions or concerns and was very thorough in explaining all of our options throughout the process. The deck was completed timely shortly after HOA approval. The workers were very efficient and skilled and the quality of work was excellent. We highly recommend Homecract Builders.

I had just bought a new house and needed a pretty large deck done. Jeff and his crew did a great job with that new faux wood and black railings. It turned out beautiful and the cost was a lot cheaper than others I asked. No complaints and will definitely be using them again.

Homecraft Builders were amazing. Not only did they perform the replacements to our satisfaction, they also saw flaws in our current structure and corrected them. They went above and beyond what I expected them to do. I would highly recommend them for your home needs. I will certainly keep their name handy.

Jeff really helped us design the deck that would work best for us. We had originally asked for a 20x20 deck and he had us measure our kitchen to indicate how large of a deck it was to make sure we knew what we were asking for. We ended up settling for a 16x20 deck (which later got reduced to 14x20 because of county zoning). He also worked with us on the various places we could put the steps and gave us pros/cons and cost estimates for each. He was also very flexible on the start date when the HOA approval took longer than expected. The deck looks absolutely amazing. They did a fantastic job. They were very professional and everything got cleaned up at the end. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend Homecraft Builders for anyone who wants to build a deck.

Of the many contractors that I’ve hired over the years, I’ve never come close to having the amazingly positive experience that I had with Homecraft Builders. I could not have asked for more – from the initial meeting and planning stages (Marc was wonderfully helpful in making suggestions for the perfect deck), to providing a highly competitive proposal, to a timely completion of a superbly and beautifully constructed deck. I can’t say enough good things about this company and its friendly, talented craftsmen, and they will remain at the very top of my list for any and all future home improvement projects. We had a very big, old, rotten, 2nd story deck that needed to be replaced. Jeff gave us a great price, took the time and listened to our needs and wants and ultimately created the perfect deck for us. He and his employees did an incredible job and cleaned up so well. We could not possibly be happier with our gorgeous new deck and we can't wait to have them come back to do more work! Also, Jeff was extremely responsive to not only our first call but subsequent communications. One time, we called him and he was working. He didn't hesitate to speak with us and work on what we needed right then. We have a huge, Trex deck with white railings and stairs with a gate! LOVE LOVE LOVE

Went well and work was done quickly ahead of scheduled finish date. The contractor was very easy to get ahold of and made sure the materials were of the right quality for the job. The workers were pleasant and helped to move some items that were very heavy. They cleaned up after themselves so that I did not have to do anything at the conclusion of the job. I would recommend their work for my friends.

I got 4 quotes from various highly rated Angie's list companies and Homecraft was definitely the cheapest, in some cases by as much as $4,000. Jeff came out and looked at the deck twice and discussed what needed to be done. He was friendly and not pushy and I liked that they were smaller company than some of the others; that way they could pay more attention to each customer. We decided to go with Homecraft, they told us that it would take about 6 weeks before they would be able to start the project which, at the time, was near the end of April. They called me mid-April and said that they would be ready to start about a week early. They did show up during the week that they promised but I never did get a call telling me that they were actually starting. This was probably my only complaint in the entire process. The entire process after that went smoothly, if I got home from work while they were still working they were nice enough to explain the progress and show me what they had been doing. They were also nice enough to haul away some old wood that I had next to my house that had nothing to do with the project itself. Overall it took a crew of 3 men about 12 working days to complete the deck. When Mark, one of the owners, came out to do a final walkthrough he took time to answer a few questions we had. The only thing that didn't seem right to us was something with our gate at the top of our stairs. It functioned fine but there was a gap in the vinyl on two of the corners because that vertical piece had to be moved over to be able to meet the latch (maybe not the best explanation). Regardless of the problem, Mark told us without even being prompted that he would just have the whole gate replaced with an adjustable hinge. They did the gate replacement the next day and didn't charge us anything extra. This company is highly recommended and we may end up using them to finish our basement whenever we get around to that project!

I contacted Jeff to get a free estimate on replacing my old wood deck with a larger composite deck. He came on date agreed and was on time. He gave his opinion but wasn't pushy as others were about what to choose from. The whole process was pretty seamless, from permits to the actual work being done. I didn't have any changes needed during the process, so I can't comment on how that would've gone. He was very responsive when contacted with any questions or timing. The finished product is great, I really have no complaints which is rare. I did get 3 total quotes and Jeff was not the lowest, but we decided to go with him as we thought he would be best to work with. I do not regret that decision. I will use him again if needed and will recommend him to others when possible.

Homecraft Builders did a great job with my deck! Jeff was extremely responsive. I called, he came out to my house, gave me a reasonable estimate, and then started replacing the deck. He was reachable by phone and very responsive during the building process. The deck turned out great. I will definitely use Homecraft Builders again for other renovation needs around my home.
