I was pleased with the initial contact by their sales rep. Not once was I told I needed to have both homeowner's at the appointment before they would offer us an estimate. During the appointment all product options were presented in detail. A written estimate was provided at this first meeting. Once accepted it was only a matter of a few days before I was contacted by the company owner, an appointment was set to measure the replacement windows/slider door and in approximately three weeks we had confirmation that our order was ready for installation. The installation crew arrived on schedule, completed the work in a timely manner and left the home so clean one could not tell there had been a crew of three working in the home. A few hours after the work was completed, the business owner came to our home to inspect the work, answering any questions we might have and making sure the job met his high standards. We would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to have replacement windows Simonton) installed . And I feel confident that they would have the same high standards for any of the other services they offer. There is a high level of professionalism and one can tell the owner takes great pride in a job done well.

Everything was outstanding from the first phone call to the installation. The service is exceptional and the price extremely reasonable. Jeff promptly returned my call, did the estimate, picked up the contract & within a week, we had a beautiful, high quality constructed, new deck to the envy of our neighbors. Everything went so well, we are reaching out to Homecraft again to install a french door.

Wonderful job. Jeff provided me with honest service and my deck was put up surprisingly quick. They delivered materials on the Thursday and my deck was completed by Sunday. Amazing very good quality work. Jeff was extremely professional and gave me honest advice on the size of deck that would look right on my home and advised against a larger size that I wanted at first. Knowing that I wanted to sell my home within the next few years he gave me good advice and tips on how to increase my property value. I will definitely be using this company again! Thanks Jeff!

Some contractors will say anything in order to take your money and run. I appreciate a contractor who's willing to tell the customer the truth, even if it means saying no to a job.

They worked out fine and I did not have any problems with them at all. They were great and I would use them again.

My experience with them was fine. We were not here when they did the little room (a room that trash cans are kept in under the deck), the second crew, and we were at work pretty most of the time when they were doing the deck, but the Mexican guys we had a lot more interaction with them and actually they were fine. In the future I would possible use the crew that did my deck alone. It was supposed to come with a five-year warranty and I never got the warranty. I then checked them on Angie's List and somebody else had also said the same thing. I have the endorsed check that you received for the trash can room that your company built underneath my deck. I NEVER forget who does my work or get confused over something like this. Maybe you need to have the same guys finish the job completely since they are better skilled in carpentry work. And I still didn't get that 5 year warranty; I guess you are also confused over that.

Jeff came out to our property to take measurements for an estimate. He was on time and nice to talk to. However, the company later declined to bid on the job since they did not want to deal with the local permitting requirements. Disappointing.

My experience to the quoting process was excellent! The man who came out was very easy to work with and he answered all my questions, and really patient. And also they installed my boyfriend's deck and he was really pleased with them.

In the beginning I had received 4 estimates from contractors to do the job(all from Angies List). A couple were close and one was really over priced. Jeff's estimate was close to a couple others, but we received more from Homecraft than the other contractors were offering to do...(Ex. adding another row of support posts.) He spent a good deal of time with me asking and answering questions on the first meeting. In addition, Jeff had great ideas that the other ones did not come up with..and we did end up using his suggestions. I was also happy that Homecraft was able to start the job within a few weeks of signing the contract. I was definitely hoping to enjoy the new deck this season. This was also a problem with some of the other contractors I interviewed. The largest deck only took 8 days to build, which incuded removing the old deck. The concrete patio was done in one day and the pool decking only took 2 days to complete. The materials used and workmanship were both top notch. We went with a white railing with black aluminum balusters on both decks. We went with wood floor boards for the largest deck and a maintenance free Wolf decking for the pool. We have gotten many compliments on our deck and how it blends well with the house. Jeff and his crew were very punctual and efficient the entire time they were building our deck and patio. Most of the time they started sooner and finished earlier than expected. Jeff was also always accessible whenever we needed to talk to him. We were very happy that they were also able to accomadate us and do the work while we were on vacation. This experience with Homecraft was better than any other contractor/business we have dealt with in the past. I would definitly recommend them.

Every step of the experience of doing this project with Homecraft Inc. was great. I plan to use them again and would highly recommend them to friends and family. The quotation process was easy and they arrived on time. Homecraft obtained all the relevant permits and assisted me with application for my HOA. The workmen were clean, punctual and professional and the work was done quickly with minimal disturbance to myself or neighbors. I am very happy with my choice for this project...

The deck looks amazing! The team at Homecraft was prompt and courteous and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted in our new deck. We received good ideas from Jeff Slutzker on the design of the deck which helped us make our decision. His experience and insight was much appreciated. The deck turned out exactly as we designed it. The crew did a great job. They were polite, hard working and diligent. We are very pleased with the service and the final product. We're extremely happy with their work and plan to use them again to finish our basement next year.

They did great work, I don't have any complaints about them. They were on time, and they do good work.

My experience was good. They were very helpful and responsive. They had good design ideas and things like that. Their timeliness was good. They gave us an estimate on when the work would start and finish. Their price was the best I found.

Excellent. The crew was very friendly and efficient. Came back on a Saturday to make some minor adjustments to the screened door.

Jeff and crew did a great job. Jeff was helpful and punctual for our initial estimate meeting. He had great ideas and comprehensive materials (demo decking, photos, catalogs etc). His price was the most competitive of our bids. Jeff was very prompt in responding to emails and questions throughout the process. Once we agreed on the contract, his team was able to come get started very quickly and they completed the entire deck extremely quickly. The crew was friendly and professional at all times, happily tolerating the two small children staring at them through the sliding glass door next to the deck through their long days. When a supplier had some problems supplying part of the rail materials, Jeff went above and beyond driving to various suppliers to get the parts quickly. After the deck was mostly built, we realized we wanted to enlarge one of the steps, forcing them to redo some of the work. Jeff was very reasonable about the change and we all agreed on a fair change fee and they completed that work quickly as well (even with the change fee the total price was less than other estimates). Our main goal was to have the deck built before our son's birthday party. They beat that deadline by several weeks. We're extremely happy with their work and would happily use them again and recommend them to others.

They are very nice and thorough though, we have not done any work yet.

It was a good experience and it went well. They showed up on time and even finished the job early. I think they did a good job and the price was good, I called around before deciding on them, so their price was comparable to others.

The gentleman arrived promptly to perform the requested work. He was very polite and proffessional. Installed the blinds quickly and cleaned up when he was done. Great job. I would definitely use these guys again.

They were excellent. They pulled down the old one, took all the old materials way in, got all of the permits and built a better and substantial deck than previous. It is a 10’/18’ deck. Nothing was bad about them. The good part was that they took away all of the old things, worked very hard and they even worked very late one night to get the job done. I was totally pleased with them.

Used Angie's List to locate neighborhood deck companies that had high favorable ratings and multiple reviews. Homecraft was one of the first companies that responded and was the first contractor to look at the job and provide a quote. Jeff arrived on time with samples and a photo book. He was polite, pleasant and knowledgeable and easy to deal with. He listened to my plan and offered suggestions that made sense and improved both design and construction. He drew a diagram of the floor plan while my wife looked at the photographs and materials. His bid was about $1000 over our budget, but his design was larger and clearly better than my original idea. I thanked him for his time and got several additional bids, some higher and some lower. After discussing it with my wife, we decided to go with Jeff provided he would angle the deck which another vendor had suggested, and try to get the job done by Mother's Day. He agreed to do so and I signed a contract and gave him a $200 deposit with the remainder to be paid upon completion. He gave me a start date and told me he would try to improve on it if possible. Shortly thereafter, got a call asking if he could start earlier and if he could work over the weekend. I agreed and the work began on a Friday afternoon. The demo and initial work was performed by 3 men including Jeff; however, the bulk of the work was performed by two guys who started early and stayed late. The workman were friendly and professional in all respects. They answered questions and never caused me a moments concern. Jeff stopped by periodically and by the following Thursday the job was done. Before they left they policed the area and washed down the deck so that it was flawless when they left. I would hire this company again and I plan to call them when I do my kitchen next year.

After getting 5 proposals I chose to go with Homecraft due to their fair price, willingness to work with me on details, and their "you don't pay until your happy" payment model. They started work on the day promised and worked diligently until finished. The supervisor (Marc) visited the job site everyday, and made sure the guys addressed some concerns I had as the project went on. Everything turned out well and I can recommend Marc and the Homecraft team. I plan to use them again for a fence job next summer.

Jeff was very responsive and worked with our schedule to come out and give us a quote. He was very honest about certain materials to use and ideas for the layout. The price was very reasonable in comparison to other quotes we had received. The guys that came out to build the deck were hard workers and got a lot done in very little time. It took a week to build the deck with weather restrictions on a couple of the days. Overall, we were very pleased with all the work and love the new deck!

Fantastic experience. Punctual, professional, excellent carpenters. Went the extra step on every aspect of the project. I was most impressed how each individual was so concerned with doing it well, not just getting it done. From the first contact to the end of the project if was an excellent experience. Not cheap but worth every penny. If you don't hire this company have your head examined.

I contacted the company one week ago via Angie's List to see if they service my area. No response. If I can't get a quick yes or no via email, I can't be bothered with working with Homecraft on a large project.

I used Angies List (AL) to find Homecraft Builders and I was very happy with my first AL experience. Jeff @ Homecraft always returned phone calls even if he could not answer the initial call personally. Jeff met me after work and came with decking samples. I explained the scope of work and Jeff was able to provide a quote on the spot. I signed the contract that night and Jeff only took a $200 deposit explaining the balance was due at completion (no credit cards, cash or check). Jeff gave a 2 week window to get started and later that week called to say he could start the following week. There were several things that I liked about Jeff's work ethic. First, he was onsite every day. Second, he worked the job every day until complete. There was no issue of 3 or 5 other jobs and mine was part of the mix. During the week, Jeff felt the existing 18x8 deck needed additional support and installed 2 posts with no up-charge. Jeff called me mid-afternoon the day he expected to complete the job for a review of the work and final payment. When I arrived home, Jeff covered the completed work and pointed out the gate latch was defective from the manufacturer and he would replace it when he received a new latch. The new 12x12 deck was well constructed and flowed from the existing deck better then expected. I was glad to get rid of the moldy Trex material and have a truly maintenance free deck. Within 10 days, Jeff stopped by and replaced the defective latch.
