They came out in the beginning of September and ended work on Jan of 2015. At the beginning we had no complaints with the company, they showed up on time and the owner did a walk through with us and negotiated a price that we thought was fair and felt like we were getting a good deal. We had put down a down payment with them for about 3-4,000 to start project. Like stated before at the beginning of the project we felt that he had a nice approach and was very knowledgeable about the work that was being done. However towards the end of the project around November 2014, he became very unresponsive and difficult to communicate with. We would call or text and he would not return our calls for a couple of days. Then he would schedule an appointment and not show. Then come to find out he (the owner) was having health issues so I was okay with delaying project some but after that we rarely heard from him. The quality of the work that was done was not satisfactory and we had agreed prior to starting the job that he would do work for us upstairs as well but when project was completed we did not want to pursue that any longer due to the quality of work done in the basement. Not only did we not work done after the basement was finished but the provider did not pursue us to carry out the contract either, so to us it felt like he just wanted to wash his hands clean after he received payment.

I had an okay experience with them.

Put deposit down in early February. Removal of siding and window replacement did not begin until early-mid April. Siding was removed at that time and windows were replaced. Windows looked good. Was advised my originally selected brand of siding was no longer available and a cheaper but comparable product would be used; no price adjustment was discussed for cheaper siding. Front door replaced in early May; however, door handle was left off and open for four days. Thankfully, no one tried to break, as they easily could have just by reaching in the hole where the door handle should have been and turning the deadbolt. Was pressured to complete payment as siding would be done "next week" (referring to May 4-8). "Cheaper" siding was dropped off on 11 June and work was to start "before Monday" (referring to 15 June). There's no other word for this situation then "theft." This company has taken my money without any concrete plans to finish the work on my home. As I've been without siding for approximately 10 weeks, the Tyvek house wrap is likely damaged from UV rays and will need to be replaced soon; I believe the wrap can only be left exposed for 90 days maximum. I would not recommend using this company for any reason. It is a shame because the work that was done, short of exposing my home to possible intruders, was done well. Additionally, I will be filing a complaint with DLLR as this kind of behavior is unprofessional.

I purchased kitchen backsplash work through Angie's List. The provider was to be DL Siding. Someone from the company came out and took measurements of my kitchen. I made a $300 partial payment to book the work. I told the representative that I would secure the backsplash tile I wanted myself. In fairness to DL Siding, I took 10 months to get around to calling them again to get the work done. In January 2015, I spoke with Rick, who said he would look up the job and follow up with me. That never happened. I have been calling the business number weekly and leaving messages, but no one will return my call. I have begun the process of requesting a refund from Angie's List and am now seeking a refund from DL Siding.

They turned out to be great. They under priced their job and they ended up leaving with it because I have a rather large kitchen. The deal we bought wasn't going to handle my kitchen backsplash. They came and did the estimate but they really underestimated the job tremendously because the guy was there for 4 days. They did a really good job actually. They took care of my home and cleaned up real well.

Scheduling was OK. They did need to special order the door to get the ones with the (insulated) glass panels. It took about 6 weeks to come in. They contacted us immediately and came out to look at the old door. They did need to come back a few times to modify the installation but were very responsive each time.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out quite well. I think they did the job on time. We had some variations on what needed to be done and they did that so we are very pleased. We were very happy with what they did. I think it was well done, pricewise.

It went very well. We had the door installed from a basement living area. We had them do a lot more work, but it was all done in a day. In addition to the door, we had them replace the storm door, replace the main level windows (3 windows), and I had 3 basement windows replaced.

I bought the deal and they came out for the consultation. The estimate ended up coming back very high even with the deal taken out. So I opeted not to go with them.

How the door was not to spec: wrong sidelights (no mullions) Hinged on the wrong side Too narrow (he shimmed/filled about 1" on each side, which he covered on the inside with aluminum soffit material) Small horizontal window at the top is not level, visible to the naked eye from the curb. Black painted outside of door has big scratches. Problems with install: No exterior caulking between the door and the side molding Minor damage to the wall were they removed the molding to get the old door out. Molding was not put back in place tight, and it cracked in 2 places. No caulking around the edge between the molding and the wall, gaps between 1/16 and 3/8 of an inch We paid a deposit for this door which we won't get back, and even if we are not billed for the balance, we will have to pay another contractor to remove and replace this door, so it definitely is not free. I am also disappointed that from arrival to abrupt departure, I never heard an apology. Do not use this provider.

Everything was great, I was a little concerned about the noise at 8am in the morning, but to date I have not gotten any complaints from neighbors. I'm extremely happy with the door (great quality) and the installation was quick and painless.

It all went very smoothly, except for the nesting yellow jackets that got upset from the hammering and stung Rick twice. He was a trooper and persevered and finished the job despite his battle injury. With only a 2-man crew, they were very friendly, professional, and got the job done very efficiently. They paid great attention to detail and were great at the clean-up. Although I thought they had to work in tight quarters (like close to my big screen TV) nothing was disturbed. I am also key-challenged. When I had trouble with the key in the locks Rick took the time to work through it with me and fixed it to my satisfaction. If I could I would give them an A+.

I've completed a half-dozen projects with providers found on Angie's List, and this is really my first disappointing experience. I purchased this service as part of a Big Deal priced at $349 back on Feb 14, 2014. Apparently their response to this deal was overwhelming, as it took a very long time to even schedule a consultation to discuss the work. Part of the responsibility for that delay was mine, too, and I explained that I wasn't in a tremendous hurry. When I finally met with Rick, he explained that there would be an extra charge for the more labor-intensive process of installing smaller tiles on the back splash. At that point we discussed using 4 x 4 tiles, and between that and the credit for supplying my own materials, the extra charge was about $180. What surprised me was that Rick required that I pay for that charge in advance --or in other words payment in full, given that I had already paid in advance for the deal. I wouldn't generally agree to this, but the price was still excellent and I didn't relish the prospect of finding another provider. A few weeks later we scheduled the installation. As it turned out, I waited too long to purchase my tile and ended up settling for 6 x 6 on short notice. So, clearly I paid more than I should have, but less than most others would likely charge, a somewhat trivial concession. Craig was on time for the tile installation. He set up to saw the tiles outside, consulted with me about how I preferred certain things to be done, and set the tiles in a few hours. The workmanship seemed excellent overall. So far, so good. We made arrangements for him to return to do the grout. The only hitch that first day was that Craig left my hose running in the front yard after cleanup, where I discovered it four hours later. Craig returned with an assistant to do the grout on the appointed day, 45 minutes late. It was late afternoon, and the traffic was particularly bad, so that's no big deal. However, I wish he had called to tell me he would be late. This is where the job turned sour. Here are my complaints about the completion of the grout work: (1) They mixed the grout in my kitchen, which made for a dusty mess. Why would they do this when my deck is a few steps away? (2) They dumped construction refuse in my recycle bag. I have two canisters out, one for trash, one for recycle. They simply needed to ask which to use. (3) When they presented the job as "complete", I found NUMEROUS quality issues, including unevenly filled joints, open joints under the window sill and cabinets, and even a spacer that was sticking out and had simply been grouted over! If a client had exposed those types of flaws in my work, I would have apologized profusely, taken a deep breath, and gone back over everything with a fine-tooth comb. Without a word they fixed the issues I found, albeit in a less meticulous way than I would have preferred, and left. It seemed they were in a rush from beginning to end. (4) They caulked the joint between tile and granite without properly cleaning up. So there is visible dust trapped below the clear caulk joint. Fortunately, this is fairly inconspicuous because of the granite pattern. (5) Cleanup was completely unacceptable. I spent a half hour cleaning after they left... dust on the counters, cabinets, and floors. (6) Craig explained that I needed to wait 36 hours for the grout to cure, then just wipe down the tiles with a dry or damp cloth. Unfortunately, there were many places where clumps of grout were left on the face of the tiles, clumps that could only be removed by scraping with a screwdriver. What should have been a 5-minute job turned into another 45 minutes. (7) The final insult came when I re-installed the electrical face plates. Craig had cut the tile a bit too close to the outlets. For three of them I had to drill out holes in the tile to accommodate the mounting screws. This is kind of thing that should be on the checklist for any professional installer. It's simply inexcusable that I would have to this myself. (Sure I could have complained and had someone come back to do this. I chose to do it myself just to avoid consuming even more time.) Unless you look closely at inconspicuous places, the final work mostly looks good. Alas, that doesn't mean that getting done was a good experience.

This worked out perfectly for us. The counter came in under our other estimates. We did not hope to get granite counters until we found this deal. Everyone we dealt with from D L was attentive and professional. We would definitely recommend them to others.

Estimator came right out and issued a quote immediately. I thought I was off to a great start. However the provider failed to contact me for several weeks and only responded after I called several times. Apparently the owner was on vacation and could not respond. The installer that called to schedule the work was not very responsive or professional. I had to call him after 9pm the night before he was supposed to install the tile to try and get the details as to when he would pick up the materials and begin the work. His excuse was that they had a lot of work because if the Angie's list special. When I pushed for the details, he became bothered and hung up. I don't really care how many years experience the installer has, the lack of professionalism is inexcusable. The owner was prompt in delivering my refund check to my home personally but unfortunately I could not use his company for my job.

Went well. They showed up when they said they would and completed the job on time. In fact it was done with tile and grout on same day. Would definitely use again.

DL had a special offer for granite countertops on Angie's list. I purchased that offer and arranged for DL to replace the backsplash as well.DL had Bel Air Granite and Marble replace the countertops and DL replaced the backsplash. I needed to change the schedule for the installation of the backsplash and DL was happy to accommodate that. Our kitchen was in good shape except for that yellow formica and tile. The new granite and tile looks absolutely fabulous. The kitchen shed 40 years in just a couple days. I enjoyed working with DL Siding & Construction and definitely recommend them based on the work they have just done for me.

Booked in mid February; contractor promised service in March. Never called or contacted me. Owner said work order was lost at his call center. I sent an Angie's List email; owner promised to come complete the job himself in two weeks. On the scheduled day, called with bronchitis and mentioned he would reschedule. I called back, told him not to worry and hoped he felt better. Another month passed, no contact again. I called Angie's List help-desk which courteously offered to find another contractor or issue a refund. D&L seems very courteous while on telephone, but follow-up with client is extremely flawed.

DL Siding & Construction employees were very professional and courteous and dedicated to the completion of this installation with attention to detail. We are impressed with their prompt response and would highly recommend this company to others for their renovations.

I purchased it 2-19-14 and gave them a huge window of when I would be avaliable to get the work done. I finally talked with the owner and he said he would be out in two weeks to get the work done. That two weeks came and he called to say he was ill and needed to re-schedule. Since then I havn't heard from them since. I was impressed that they responded quickly; and called when he needed to cancel. I don't think they are bad people they just didn't seem to be able to follow through with this deal.

I purchased Angie's List 'Big Deal' $1499 up to 34 sq ft of granite, demolition of old counters, and cut out for under-mount sink. D L Siding & Construction were responsive and timely. The fee quickly increased upon adding the cost for additional square footage, plumbing, purchasing their sink, etc. I had the opportunity to visit their showroom/warehouse which housed a number of beautiful stone selections ( not all included in the Deal). Rick was very professional and accomodating. The install was scheduled quickly and the finished product is absolutely gorgeous! All the finishing touches were completed including plumbing. They paid close attention to detail, cleaned up after themselves and answered my questions throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them and use them again for my future home projects. Craig arrived on time both days that he was scheduled to come. He was extremely professional and cleaned up well after the project was over. I would use this company in the future.

I had a consult with them in March. They told me they would be able to fit me in in the beginning of April and I haven't heard from them. I am getting a refund through Angie's List.

This is the second time I've done business with this company, and the second time they've proven their reliability and their commitment to customer satisfaction. Rick procured HE Moss replacement windows for me at an excellent price value, and he & crew performed the installation in one day of labor. The installation was done well, with meticulous attention to detail and extra measures taken to ensure the highest level of energy efficiency and noise reduction achievable. The cleanup was meticulous, and the workers were professional. As he often does, Rick went the extra mile. He covered the old wooden surround of my kitchen double-window with a facade of aluminum to provide additional insulation, longevity of the wood frame and protection from the elements. I would not hesitate to hire this company for future jobs, or to refer my friends to them.
