They came in and were very helpful. I had a frozen sump pump pipe along with other issues and they did a good job of doing what I needed them to do. I was happy with them.

The work was actually done over 2 visits. Ernie knew we needed to get the gas inspection done ASAP so that we could get the gas meter installed on a bank foreclosure that had been vacant for a couple of years. He did that on the first visit and then scheduled the remainder of the work a couple of days later. On the second visit, he and Scott arrived slightly early and began work immediately. They worked without stopping for ~5 hrs and were able to get everything done. Before their service, all the faucets/sinks leaked and by the time they were done, things looked great and there were no problems. Ernie did identify a potential issue with the water line outside the house, but informed me of the signs that might show up if it became and problem and gave me a rough estimate of the cost if a problem did occur. Ernie and Scott were easy to work with, and left the work area completely clean. Ernie understood that we were frazzled with the number of things in the house that needed immediate repair (roof, chimney, electrical) and provided a fair price to repair our laundry list of plumbing items.

I contacted Cobra to access the condition of the inside main water line as there was evidence of prior leaking. This is in response of a home inspection that we had resulting from the sale of our house. It did take a few days to get a response to my voice mail and there was a little hiccup in that the appointment was scheduled for a certain time and they showed up over 20 min early and left. As I was coming from work I got at the house 15 min before the appt time. I was able to get a hold of them and they were able to come back out within the hour. That was good. Other than the timing issue, I was very happy with their service and would recommend them.

I called them and they said they don't service my area, very unhappy. I requested a refund from Angie's List.

After a Friday rain storm we discovered a water main leak in our front yard when a portion of the lawn and sidewalk did not dry out. We have used Cobra before and was happy with the service so we emailed them through Angies List very late Friday night. Surprisingly, he contacted us immediately. They came at 8:30AM the next morning, an hour earlier than scheduled, and assessed the situation, left to get supplies and started work by 9am. Between the leak and the rain from the day before the excavation was very muddy work. Since our water main was being replaced there were some things our 33 year old house needed to be brought up to code. The work was performed efficiently and completed around noon. He was kind enough to replace the broken sewer cap in our front lawn, as well. My only complaint is a bit of a mess was left in our unfinished basement. I had to sweep up debris, clean up some nasty foam filler/sealant and return things to their place when all was done. Some extra care could have been made to clean up the muddy lawn and sidewalk. After they left we did some more cleanup ourselves and will have to hire a landscaper to restore our lawn due to settlement left by the work that needed to be done. The cost of the repairs was a hard pill to swallow. If we had the option of getting estimates I don't know if we could have done better. The work needed to be done before the water main burst or the cost would have been much more.

Showed up on time and was very easy to work with. Gave an honest assessment as to what the true problem was and offered a solution that was much easier and cheaper than other bids I had received. Very happy with the results and will definitely use Cobra again in the future.

Mr. Taylor arrived on time and looked at my hot water heater. He suggested I get my chimney cleaned since the pilot light could be affected by a blocked chimney flue. When I asked what I owe him, he said I did not owe him anything. I definately would use this service provider again.

Working with Cobra Plumbing Services (and Ernie Taylor, the owner) was fantastic. Ernie arrived on time and was extemely professional and pleasant. He was very neat and the installation went well. I couldn't be happier. But I was even more impressed with how he handled a situation that arose. I had purchased the toilets from a major home improvement center. I was talking with Ernie as he was opening one of the boxes, and to our surprise, the water tank was severely broken. The first thought I had was having to return the broken toilet, waiting another week or so for it to arrive, and then having Ernie come back. He had an idea. He said he could call a plumbing store which he knew carried the particular brand of toilet that I had purchased. If they had it in stock, he could get a quote; and, if satisfied with the price, he would pick up the toilet and bring it back to install. I can't tell you how relieved I was. I wanted this project over and done that day! The price was acceptable. Ernie picked up the toilet, brought it back, and installed it. And, although he incurred the additional time in running to the plumbing store to get the toilet, he still performed the installations at the quoted price. Let me say that, in this day and age, you rarely find people that are willing to inconvenience themselves in such a way. I thank Ernie for his help in resolving the situation and I will definitely use Cobra Plumbing Services again in the future.

Very pleased with the service. Came out quickly and repair was done in half a day- for replacing main water service. Highly recommend!

Nice gentleman, did his best, the exterior exit of the drain could be located but the water drained.

Ernie responded quickly to come out a give an estimate. His price was good as compared to others and I felt his warranty was the best. They showed up when they said they would and finished in about four hours. They did a good job and cleaned up well when they were done. I would use Ernie again if I need any plumbing work done.

I placed call on Wed evening. Call returned within 60 minutes. Appointment made and service was performed the NEXT DAY. He was very professional and I will certainly refer to everyone.

Some people write reviews to appreciate great work or to express disappointment. I just do not write reviews, period. Since my wife signed up on AL, this is the first time I am going to write a review. I am writing this review, 45 minutes after the job got done. I am posting it 3 hrs later. Last Thursday, we woke-up to a flooded basement and our water heater was done. I called three companies and decided to go with Cobra plumbing Services. Today (Oct.-28-2014) Ernie Taylor (Cobra Plumbing Services) came and fixed (replaced) our gas water heater (40 gallons) and he did a great job! As a plumber, he is excellent. He is a problem solver and his technical skills are solid. He worked to accommodate my requests given the specificity of the problem we had. As a business person, he is very professional. When I called him to schedule an appointment, we agreed on the date and time and he showed up on time! His customer service is exceptional. As a person, he is just a great guy! I originally contacted Ernie Taylor by sending him a message on Angie's List. He responded almost immediately. I had questions regarding whether to go with a back up battery system or a Water Jet system. He told me he recommended the water jet system over the battery because in the event of a power outage which lasts longer than 8 hours your protected. He said he's been primarily only installing this system for 6-7 years and he has had no problems. I am from NJ and my family lived in the Sandy ravaged area so I know all too well what kind of damage water can do so for me it was a no brain-er I went with his recommendation. I live in Bulle Rock in Havre de Grace, MD. Ryland was my builder and they did not put in the greatest of sump pumps. The back up was a battery. Although I did not have any problems two of my neighbor's had theirs defect which resulted in a flooded basement. I might add the buildings affected were on 5 years old and mine is currently 4. In all fairness the buildings are very low to the flood line so they go off frequently. Anyway, one day after installation it's pouring outside. I went home for lunch to see how the system was functioning. The Zoller pump is so quiet I cannot even hear it. My old system made a woof sound every time it went off. Ernie quoted me in writing via Angie's list a cost of $1150 and that is exactly what he charged me. The job took approximately 2 hrs and he left the area very neat when he was done. All the piping was tied up tight and he explained what to do in case I wanted to turn off the water for any reason. As an added bonus he showed me where my turn off valves were for my outside faucets something the builder did not tell me when I purchased the property exactly 4 years ago. Most of the piping is in the house but after last year's frost I think I will be more cautious and will drain the pipes this year. If you need a sump pump I would highly recommend Ernie Taylor and Cobra Plumbing.

Ernie Taylor contacted me seconds after I submitted my service request on line. I described the work that needed to be done, my homeowners insurance required a sump pump upgrade/backup after our basement flooded in April, he quoted me the approximate cost of the work that needed to be done. We scheduled it for the end of the week. He arrived on time and completed the work in 2 hours as stated over the phone. He removed our old system, cleaned out the sump pump well and installed a new sump pump, back up sump pump and discharge pipes. He explained what needed to be done and why, proceeding to do it efficiently, no muss, no fuss. He did all the work himself. I was very pleased with the work and I will use his services in the future.

Smooth communications and very quick install.

He's very prompt. He quickly diagnosed the problem. Once he figured out what the problem he offered to fix it right away. The price was also pretty competitive. The only bad part is when he hired another company to come with the wrench to pull the old pump out of my current well and it was raining so the van was in the front yard and when they pulled away they actually left a hole in the yard. Everything about him was great but basically once the land dried I had to go and try to fill it with dirt and regrow grass. He's courteous, talkative, in good spirits and he got it done quickly.

I sent an e-mail to Cobra over the weekend, because it appeared that the sump pump on my rental property was not working. Cobra (Ernie) got back to me very quickly. We set up an appointment for Monday and he promptly replaced the sump pump. I am very pleased because with all the rain we got on Tuesday, the basement may have flooded. Cobra installed a sump pump that is very highly rated Zoeller, compared to the last sump that was installed and burned out. He also made adjustements to the drain and cleaned the sump pump well. Now with the sump pump working I don't worry about the basement flooding, and now the basement even doesn't smell as damp or musty. Thanks Cobra/Ernie.

Ernie was able to make the repair the very same day! In fact, he was at my house within an hour (he happened to be nearby). He was nice, knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and cleaned up after himself.

We called on Saturday and left message. Ernie returned call promptly and came on Monday to do the work. He did a great job and was very professional. We will definitely call Cobra Plumbing Services for any plumbing need, starting with connecting the new sink when we get it.
