I called Cobra on a Thursday and Ernie came out the following Monday. He had to take up the entire toilet and then leave to get a part. He was done within the hour. I was completely satisfied.

 + 1 moreOverall, the work went very well. The existing well is 200 ft deep; the new one unexpectedly had to go to 500 ft, being on the other side of a shelf of bedrock. This effected the pump required, and the wiring for the pump, but not the plumbing itself. The work was done in November. Cobra installed the largest storage tank they could fit through the small access to the basement; they passed the pipe from the well under the driveway without having to dig up the driveway; the trenching was done with minimal disturbance to the surrounding yard, and left very neat. Work was all done in a rapid and professional manner.
Description of Work: We asked plumber to replace leaking underground supply lines from existing well to 2 buildings. 1st plumber gave high estimate; 2nd plumber was semi-retired and said this job was beyond his capabilities; 3rd plumber was Cobra. Ernie Taylor looked at our needs and pointed out that it would be (a) simpler (under our particular circumstances) and (b) no more expensive to drill a new (second) well and run new underground pipe to the buildings. This would have the added advantage of giving us a 2nd well in the event of some future problem with the 1st. He suggested a well driller since he didn't have the specialized equipment for that part of the job, and an electrician for THAT part of the job. All of the well-pump hook-up, storage tank, trench-digging, and plumbing for one building was done in one day; all of the additional work for the second building was done on a second day. The occupied caretaker cottage was without running water for only an hour or two.

 + -1 moreHe was awesome. He called when he was running a few minutes late (20min) and was clean, articulate, personable, and answered any questions that I had.
Description of Work: Ernie came and figured out where I was having a leak (initially thought to be behind wall in bathroom), however once he arrived he figured out that the drain pipe from the roof probably had a crack in it and that is why I got water in my kitchen. He replaced the drain pipe by cutting off the old galvanized pipe and replacing it with new PVC pipe by going up on my roof. He then cleaned out my tub drain and piping to ensure proper drainage.

 + -1 moreHe arrived exactly on time. He was professional, courteous, and he explained the problem in great detail showing me the pipe that was leaking. (He told me my kitchen faucet was old and would require replacement in the near future but he that could stop the leak and give me satisfactory usage of the faucet for at least a year.) He did stop the leak within 20 minutes. His cost was reasonable for the work he did. I would definitely call him again for any plumbing problem I encounter.
Description of Work: Had a slow leak under kitchen sink; couldn't determine whether it came from the garbage disposal, dishwasher or faucet. But everything in the cabinet under the sink was wet! I called Mr. Taylor to explain the problem. He set up an appointment that accommodated my schedule.

I called Cobra (Ernie) on a Saturday morning - he was in the area and came within two hours to review the job. He understood my urgency and called his distributor from my home, worked up the estimate and scheduled the job for Monday. He showed up as promised, completed the job and left everything clean and working properly...he is my plumbing hero! He is so professional and credible that my father (an outrageous perfectionist) wants Ernie to do work on his home! Thanks Ernie!
Description of Work: Ernie repaired a damaged faucet on my soaking tub. The faucet was old and delicate and required a very gentle touch. Ernie had the touch! His careful work prevented me from having the mess and expense of having him have to break through my tile and walls to extract the fixture and do an extensive replacement.

 + -1 moreErnie was able to obtain the toilets and install them within a week at a price considerably less expensive than another very reputable plumber. He and his co-worker performed the work quickly with little mess and cleaned up completely after they finished. This style toilet requires more clearance from the water turn-on than other models, so there were some challenges in this regard, but these were addressed satisfactorily. All in all, the work was excellent. I would certainly recommend him and use him again.
Description of Work: I had 4 Carlile Toto toilets installed.

 + -1 moreI CALLED TO HAVE THE OLD TOILET UNPLUGGED BUT COBRA COULD NOT GET TO MY HOUSE UNTIL LATE IN THE DAY DO TO PRIOR COMMITMENTS, SO I GOT ANOTHER PLUMBING COMPANY TO COME OUT SOONER. I DECIDED TO REPLACE THE TOILET AND GOT A PRICE ON A TOTO (DRAKE) FROM THE OTHER PLUMBING COMPANY OF $640. I CALLED ERNIE TAYLOR AT COBRA PLUMBING AND ASKED FOR A BID AND HE GAVE A PRICE OF $455.60. HE ARRANGED TO ARRIVE AT 8:30 AM THE NEXT DAY AND WAS PROMPT, CLEAN WORK AND DID THE JOB, INCLUDING TAKING AWAY THE OLD TOILET IN JUST AND HOUR. HE WAS A VERY NICE GUY AND LEFT THE WORK SITE IN GOOD SHAPE. THE TOILET IS A DREAM IN THIS DAY OF 1.6 GALLON FLUSHES. HE WILL BE OUR FIRST CALL IN THE FUTURE FOR PLUMBING WORK.

He called back that evening and explained to me he could come out to give me an estimate in a few days and then scheduled for him to do the work that following Monday. Very polite on the phone and when he arrived. Both times he called to say he would be running a little late. Explained all the work that he needed to do to make it work the best for what I needed to do. Even snaked line when I told him I was haveing a problem with over flows. Cleaned the area when he was done and left everything in good order. Checked out our water heater after we asked about when we should think about replaceing it. Re-set our water filteration system. That had been turned off earlier this year.
Description of Work: Had pipes relocated in Laundrey room to make way for new washer and dryer. Had wash tub removed as well. Needed to have outside line reconnected after crack in the pipe.
