WS Contractors came out (the same day I called) to fix a leak we had in the ridge vent on the roof of our home. Abe was very professional, punctual and honest. I would use WS contractors again and I would recommend them to my family/friends.

It went really well. They were very professional and the products are really good. He's honest. I have no issues about it.

The owner was easy to deal with. The price was very reasonable. The job was scheduled and completed in short amount of time. The roof looks great! We were very pleased with their services.

The crew arrived promptly, they had all the supplies they needed and they cleaned up after themselves. They were very efficient and professional in their work. The new roof looks great!

Extremely punctual to the minute. Abe was very knowledgeable and helpful. He examined the stairs and showed me the problem. He said what should be done to it and that it was not a critical foundation issue and gave me an estimate. He also looked at my other projects I need done and I will call him then.

It took a while for Abe to come out and give me an estimate. To be fair, he told me that he was quite busy and that I would have to wait a little. Once everything was agreed on, he came with his crew as promised. The job was done timely. They cleaned up and put things back the way they found them. They even offered to paint back the area around the door. I called them to come back and fix the lock on the outside door as it was a little hard to lock. They came back within days and fixed it. This company has been doing work for me for about 10 years now. I have been satisfied each time.

New Comments: HA! This is his response to my comments?! Grades updated based on his response to what he apparently considers "unreasonable." I DID want you to come out and give and estimate on repairing/replacing the wood with a composite. That's how people get a rough idea of what the cost should be. You did not want to waste time on the fact that I may not choose you and your quote? You run a business, but apparently you need some lessons in professionalism, business mgmt, and responsiveness. Community colleges offer these types of classes. Initial comments: I asked for an estimate for replacing my wooden deck floor and railings with a composite material, even sent dimensions through email as he preferred since, as he put it: "If you are seriously interested in getting new decking I can come out and give an estimate. If you are just trying to figure out pricing send me the dimensions and I can quote you through email." I have since had the work completed by a different service provider.

Contractor was not sure he was capable to do the work but said he would send me an estimate. Never received estimate. Would have preferred the contractor just level with me that he was not the right person for the job. Waited a couple of weeks for estimate before I ended up hiring another Contractor who could do the work.

Excellent experience. Abe Wilcox replied to my inquiry within 48 hours and was on site with 48 hours to work up estimates. He provided a detailed estimate for six projects. While I do not recognize good drywall skills from bad, several people with drywall/building experience have told me that Rob is a true artist. I do know the walls look fantastic. When I put out a last minute request for baseboard, Abe accepted the extra job and it is also perfect. He ordered and installed the new baseboard, and installed shoe molding that had been left by the floor refinishing company (which was not installed at our request as we were waiting to finish the baseboard installation). Abe and Rob are both very pleasant, very professional, no wasted time. Next week WS Contractor's will be replacing my laundry room steps, and we have them lined up for other projects over the next six months, and I'm sure we will be finding more work for them.

Abe and his employee Dave were excellant. They were polite, effecient, professional, and most of all empathetic to our needs and desires.We waited two years for our dream to come true and they made it happen. I never expected the finished product to look this good. I would highly recommend them to my friends and coworkers. Abe Wilcox is definitely our new contractor of choice.

I never heard from Abe after that, until I contacted him again by email on August 12, 2013, a month and 1/2 after our meeting. His response at that time was the he didn't feel that he could stay within our budget and make a profit. There was a total lack of interest in the project and the mere fact that he never responded with even a "NO QUOTE" shows a lack of professionalism. I would not recommend this company for any work as I'd have zero confidence that they'd even show up on time, much less stay in budget or do good work with that kind of blase attitude.

They were excellent. I liked their honesty and the way they stayed with the job until it was done. They never left early. They came on time and were never late. They were way under other prices. I am very happy I found them on Angie’s list.

Great job. We are landlords who live 4 hours from our rental home. Abe was so flexible and got the work done for us without us having to come meet him.

We had an appointment scheduled for 1 on a Saturday, which means other things got arranged around that. Call him @ 1:15 and got an "I forgot" response. Not pleased.

We had and Outstanding experience with WS Contractors. Our basement had to be remodeled due to flood damage. Abe and crew showed up promptly everyday. Paneling was removed from entire basement as well as flooring and bathroom fixtures. During the job they did their best to keep dust and inconvenience to a minimum. Questions we had during construction were answered and explained well and were always treated as important. Great customer service! We had some additional things like new back door installed, small window in bathroom and backsplash in our kitchen replaced and they turned out great. The new drywall, tile and trim all turned out great. The trim around doors and windows are beautiful. They cleaned up and respected the house as if it were their own. It is nice to see businesses that go the extra mile to not just ensure a quality job but to make sure their customers are happy. We are very happy and cannot say enough about the pleasant experience and quality work. Outstanding!

WS came to scope out the effort over the summer, but due to work/personal time conflicts we couldn't start until January. Work started in mid January, and was a pretty complete remodel of the kitchen. They did demolition in 3 rooms to remove plumbing, flooring, cabinetry and the bulkhead in the kitchen. They installed new cabinets, drywall, new hardwood flooring, plumbing, new electrical for recessed and pendant lighting, fixtures, hardware, backsplash and trim. He also hooked up new appliances. Abe and his team are very detail oriented and focused on the job. They always arrived on time, and had it not been for an issue with Abe's flooring supplier, would have finished the whole project in 3 weeks. They didn't sub the job out to others; Abe was there every day doing the work and ensuring every detail met with his standards. During the project, Abe was flexible and reasonable about making changes to the scope of the remodel. When we asked for additional cans to be installed, he gave a price and did the work. When we asked him to tackle a few side projects, he likewise gave a price and did the work. We felt completely comfortable leaving the house knowing Abe was there, and that Abe took full accountability for the actions of his team. He was always present if a 3rd party was coming to the home, such as the provider for the stone counters. The end product reflects the hard work - the kitchen looks like a far more expensive kitchen than we spent. When you look closely, you see the craftsmanship in their work. The joints of molding fit together perfectly. The cabinet pulls align perfectly. You have to look hard to see any place where he drove nails into the hardwood flooring. Every small piece of baseboard or chair rail he created to match the existing baseboard or chair rail fits in seamlessly. WS is probably the best kept secret out there - if anyone is planning a major renovation, I would urge them to contact WS because for now, the quality you get for the cost of the effort makes them a bargain. Kitchens can be a real headache if they go sideways, and having used WS we had neither headache or issue with any aspect of the project.

WS Contractors did an excellent job from start to finish on our project. We will be using them in the future for home contracting needs. They completed all of the following for our project, which was an approx 2000 sqft unfinished basement consisting of a large entertainment room with wet bar/kitchenette area, big TV area, and multiple open flexible areas; a utility room; a full bath; & a bedroom: -woodwork: framing, crown molding, base trim, new interior and exterior doors, custom cabinetry in wet bar area -relocated steel support column and reinforced I-beam per approved plan from structural engineer -rebuilt stairs with stained risers and custom newell post -insulation -drywall, including soundproofing on ceiling -electrical: recessed and focused lighting, low voltage lighting, electrical outlets including surge protected outlets, ceiling speakers, multiple wall-mounted TV wiring, floor heating, fireplace wiring to support propane fireplace insert/fan -plumbing: built new wet bar and full bath; installed interior propane lines to support propane fireplace inserts -fireplace: installed veneered natural stone onto existing masonry fireplace and created custom reclaimed wood mantel -flooring: installed laminate wood flooring and carpeting -painted all walls, ceilings, molding, cabinetry -all required county permits Abe and his assisant Dave were ideal to work with on this type of project. One of them was always on site, even if a subcontractor was performing the majority of the work that day. Abe is very focused on getting the job done in a high quality manner, and is open to input and changes during the job to meet the customer's expectations. Changes are charged at appropriate reasonable amounts, which has not been my experience with others in the past. I am a detail-oriented person, and I found that Abe was always one step ahead of me on the details and even anticipated things that i wanted to incorporate in the design. Great job overall.

Called and talked to owner who advised me he was on a job site and to send them an email via Angies. Email sent .They never contacted me back.

This is the third time I have used Abe for work. He si skilled, sensible and relaible. He does good work for an honest price. I hope to have him work on a kitchen remodel in the furtuer.

The work was done in a timely fashion and the worker was skilled and courteous. The end result met our expectations. We don't normally use the services of a handyman, so I'm not familiar with the costs involved. I gave pricing a "B" because I thought the price was a little high, but really, I have nothing with which to compare it (no one else responded to our request for an estimate) . . . and it was a job that needed to get done.

They were very responsive but not quite prompt and didn’t follow through. We didn’t get to work together.

I originally got a quote for the work from the retailer's suggested installer and it was almost 5000.00 to do the same work. I was prepared to do it myself when I got the much more reasonable quote from Abe. I walked in from my vacation and the work was very nicely done. He was courteous to my painter and worked in a very small space I did do the prep work of emptying the cabinets and removing all the appliances I could I also deboxed the cabinets. There is not a lot of work space in a 1200 sqft condo but Abe and his crew managed to do what I needed with no real damage to walls. It did help that my sons removed the used cabinetry to the bulk trash in the condo community after the de install.
