SAM'S PAVING INC

I had my driveway repaved in October 2023 and then had an oil delivery truck slide off the driveway in the snow a couple of weeks ago and crack the driveway edges in 3 locations. Sams did not do the original repaving but after getting estimates from 4 contractors, I went with Sams because their price was the fairest. They came out the day after I gave them the work and cutout the 3 sections, removed old black top and paved the areas with 4" new asphalt and heated to match old er black top. Loos great. Would highly recommend them because of punctuality, quality and price.

They did a great job! I m so happy with their work and highly recommend them! I have a fairly large driveway and it was well worth the cost.

Sam's Paving did an excellent job of repaving our driveway. Our driveway is relatively large, yet Sam's crew completed the job in one day. The foreman did a great job of keeping the crew "on task" and every detail was covered. In addition to repaving, Sam's extended the width of our driveway. The work was done seamlessly. Again, it was an excellent job.

They haven't yet. I haven't decided on what I can afford to do.Punctuality was a concern. He just drove up. There was no appointment. I haven't decided on what I can afford.

The company did excellent work. They were prompt, efficient and went above and beyond what I expected. I would use them again and give them my highest recommendation.

I had 5 estimates, I went with Sam's because they had a good reputation, it is a family run business. Charlie came out to give the estimate and he was one of the main reasons I went with Sam's. He was friendly and informative he got straight to the point telling me all my options.They were pleasant, and reasonably priced. Prompt professional and extremely skilled in their trade. There were 7 guys under the foreman Lenny who was a great leader and organizer. Willy,Jesse, Jordan,and Jimmy, did an amazing job cleaning, going above and beyond to even clean the road in front of my house. The over all job was beautiful. From start to finish everyone was extremely pleasant and friendly.

I called for an estimate and meet Charlie at the house to get an estimate on what I wanted done and he right away what I wanted. He wrote up an estimate and gave me the quote right there. I said the price was fine and shook hands. That was the last time I saw Charlie. He told me I didn't need to be there if I didn't want to as I work in Virginia and the work was done in Rising Sun. Received a phone call asking if they could start the prep work on Monday the 13th of April and called again on Wednesday that the work was done. They never asked for a deposit or down payment for the work. I went to the house and the driveway was just what I wanted. They cleaned up and hauled away any left over dirt and rock. It's wonderful and beautiful. I'm very satisfied. They were prompt. They gave us a reasonable quote. They came and did it in a timely fashion. I'm pleased with their work. They did it all in one day.

When I called for the estimate, they were very prompt returning my call and very quick to give me an estimate. They were able to schedule the work the following week. They arrived on time and the driveway looks great!! They found part of the driveway by the garage didn't have the proper foundation so they added a truck load of rocks and didn't increase the price. Their price was extremely competitive. I will only use them to seal my driveway in the future.

The job went well. Was completed on time, and appears precise and consistent. Pricing was in the middle of the range of several estimates. Since it has only been about 8 months since completion I cannot effectively speak to the durability of the job. But having made it through this winter with no apparent damage, I have confidence that it will give good service for a long time.

Called for estimate and got a call back the same day. Came out to look at job within the week. Got estimate and then scheduled work to be done on driveway. Everything went very smooth and job looks great! Thanks Sam.

The guys showed up on time. They were unbelievably professional, polite, and worked all day from 7:30 am until the job was finished without a break. I caught some of them trying to swallow down a piece of sandwich during the job. I was so impressed. They absolutely worked non stop and made sure that my property was left in the best condition it could be, considering 4200 square feet of asphalt was installed. I am very happy with the results, and couldn't be happier with the price. A++++ rating for this company.

Well, the driveway looks nice. However, the foreman or whatever made the executive decision to dump the debris from the old driveway into the woods behind my house--a significant amount of stone and gravel. I was not informed this would be done. The truck used to haul the old driveway debris into the woods made deep tracks and killed vegetation in the yard. When I called him to complain about this, he told me he gave me a good deal and that I could probably use the gravel for a project. (This is a laugh because the gravel is down a steep slope, and I don't happen to own a front-end loader and dumptruck to move it.) I asked for money back because I felt the job was not completed per normal expectations. He said he'd check into this but never called me back. Also, I never got paperwork for this job. I called a week ago to have it sent and nobody's gotten back to me and I haven't yet received the requested paperwork in the mail. If you're looking to have your driveway repaved, go with someone else that won't cheat you out of a properly completed job and respects you and your property.

My initial contact was excellent, leaving a voice mail and getting a call back the next day to set up an in-person quote a few days later. The person arrived as scheduled on a Saturday morning. My husband met with the individual providing the quote (not Sam) and was extremely impressed with his thorough examination of our driveway and ideas for how to proceed with the work. We felt sure we had found the contractor who would provide the services. Unfortunately that's when the ball was dropped. The person working up the quote had done the on-site visit on a Saturday and said we'd hear right back - probably Monday. On Tuesday I put in a call to the company, asking if they had worked up a quote, leaving a voice mail, with no call back. On Thursday, I left a similar message and mentioned that I was hoping to hear back before leaving a review on Angie's List. I received a call back from their office - I believe the next day - with an explanation that the gentleman who was working up the quote said that he needed some information from the owner to finalize our quote. Days went by again with no response, and finally I got the quote (after calling their office with yet another phone message) with the explanation that the person who had come to our house was dealing with the death of a family friend. The quote seemed very fair, but we had lost confidence in the company at this point. I have absolutely no problem with respecting that and quot;things happenand quot; and especially being understanding of circumstances surrounding an untimely death. The reason for the low grade is that there is no excuse for lack of communication by their office. They are not a one person shop and I don't believe I should have to and quot;chase someone downand quot; repeatedly to get a response. Had their office kept me in the loop and explained that there would be a delay, it would have eliminated all my frustration.

Unable to get in touch with these people. The first time I called I left a message- I received a call back that said to call them back-which I attempted to do relentlessly. For about two weeks the phone rang off of the hook-without the ability to leave a message. Then for about two weeks the phone was disconnected. Once the phone was back in service busy signals every time i called...for days on end and even redialing couldn't get passsed the busy signal. Then back to days of the phone ringing off of the hook-without the ability to leave a message. I gave up...even though they were recommended to me by someone-I wasn't willing to endure anymore and thought if it is this difficult to get in touch with them to come out for a quote I wasn't taking any chances with relying on them for service.

Went great from time I asked for estimate until the job was finished.

Experience was fine, but too expensive.

Located Sam's Paving on Angies List search,along with two other contractors for quotes. Met with all three,and made a decision based on what I felt was the correct approach to resolving my drive way issues.

The crew arrived the following day to begin work and worked hard all day. They came back 2 days later to complete the paving. I still need to clean up some of the messy areas that were excavated but they were overall tidy and organized. I have some concerns about the longevity of the concrete pad but only time will tell if it cracks. Price was very good and everything was completed within 4 days of the initial call. Sam came a few times during the job to see how things were going. Overall very pleased with the work.

Sam showed up to give us an estimate the same day we called. His estimate was $1000 less than the previous estimate we had received. They did the work a few days later. The workers were professional and they did a wonderful job. I will be calling them again in a few years when it's time to seal the driveway again.

I contacted them on 5/25 for a seal coating estimate. Their estimator was at my house within the hour. He promised that the work would be done the next day. At about 10:00 a.m. the following day, the crew showed up and performed the work. The work looks fantastic and the crew was excellent. I would definitely recommend them.

My driveway was in such awful condition that I was sure it would have to be replaced from the ground up. But, Sam's put weed killer on all the weeds at were growing through the many cracks, and then repaved and sealed it. It's been about a year now, and the driveway is still just beautiful. I will definitely call Sam's Paving back when it needs to be re-sealed.
