Description of Work: Barry was so professional and efficient! The entire experience was superb, from scheduling to executing the job. |I had planned to have 4 bedrooms prep for ceiling fans. He showed up right on time, pushed through all four rooms, and have two fans installed in the time allotted! There was no trace of dirt or mess anywhere! As he was cleaning up as he goes! |I highly recommend Aspen Electric and will definitely contact Barry for any future works. |Thanks Barry.

 + -1 moreOnce I saw the deal on Angie's List for the generator transfer switch, I quickly purchased it. I scheduled a time for Barry to come to my home to inspect the area to make sure the location I wanted to use was suitable. Because I wanted to run the wire outside the house, it was going to be an additional charge for labor and materials (no problem). Because of my busy schedule, I had to push the install date almost a month. I called hime from time to time to ask questions and to confirm that we were still on for 3/23/13. The install day came and he was right on time and got right to work; no lunch breaks, long phone calls, or smoke breaks (not sure if he smokes) but he was about business. The completed job was neat. He then showed me how to use the system with my generator hooked up to the plug outside and it worked perfect. I am happy with his service and workmanship and will use him in the future.

 + -1 moreHe paid a great deal of attention and saw a bunch of things that needed to be repaired. He repaired them and did not charge because he saw them as safety issues. He gave me latitude when I wanted my panel set up differently then most. He went out of way to find a larger transfer switch then most people have. He called when he said he would and showed up when he wanted. His work was impeccable, he was neat. In general he was very nice and up front about the costs. It took a longer then estimated but we found a few other repairs that he did. i was very fond of him. He was a fair price, the quality of his work warranted his price. His work was very detailed. He knew exactly what was going on with my circuit and explained it all to me. I will use him again when I redo my basement.

Description of Work: Installed a generator switch in order to allow the generator to be plugged into our main circuit boards. This means that we do not have to use extension cords when we need to utilize our generator, during power outages.

 + -1 moreInstaller visited job site prior to final install arrangements to make sure he had the right materials and tools on the day of the work, to inform me what he was going to do and what it would look like. This was most helpful. On the day of install, he arrived on time, worked efficiently and professionally, without breaks, and walked me through the testing process. He even corrected an error made by a previous contractor, without charging extra.

Description of Work: I did not enter an amount because they were a subcontractor on this job, and we did not pay them directly. However, we felt the overall price for the project was fair, and the GC stuck to his estimate, so we assume that the electrical work did not result in any cost overruns. We gutted our master bedroom, bath and laundry room. Barry (the owner) added additional lighting to the master bedroom closets, completely redid the master bathroom lighting, and changed out all the switches in the laundry room. The most significant difference was in the master bath where we now have more than enough light to do anything. Barry worked with us on a lighting plan and made good suggestions. he always showed up when he said he was coming, and often stayed into the evening to make sure the schedule did not fall behind. We had previously used Barry for the lighting in our kitchen renovation with which we are also extremely happy. We would use Barry for any lighting project we did in our house.

 + -1 moreWe have a reguklar electrician that we use for repairs, etc, but our contractor always works with Barry, so we agreed to use him for this job. He did a fantastic job, showed up on schedule, helped us develop a lighting plan which really improved the appearance and workspace of our kitchen. he did all the work himself, and put in some very long days to keep everything on schedule. We highly recommend him.
Description of Work: We did a gut rehab on our kitchen. Barry did all the rewiring to upgrade the lighting and installed all the fixtures, including recessed lights, under cabinet lights, in cabinet lighting, pendant lights and stereo speakers.
