Description of Work: Checked chimney, flue,&furnace. Everything looked good so they only charged for a house call. Made an appointment to come back and clean my clothes dryer vent. Returned cleaned vent, replaced dryer hose with a new one. Charged less than their estimate . They were very professional. It is an owner operated business and the owners worked on the job.The gentleman is a retired fireman and very interested in preventing household fires. His wife works with him.

 + 1 moreTop to Bottom did a great job. Doug and a co-worker spent all day repairing and securing the faulty liner as well as replacing a broken flue tile, installing a new cap for our furnace flue, repairing the crown and doing a complete cleaning. The cost seemed high at first but, considering all the work that was needed to make the chimney safe, was well worth it.
Description of Work: We just bought a new house and since the chimney appeared very dirty, we called on Top to Bottom to arrange for a cleaning. Doug, the owner of Top to Bottom, came to the house and upon inspection, discovered that the "new" flue liner that had been installed (and that was highlighted in the real estate listing) was not even properly connected to the top of the firebox! He also saw signs of a past chimney fire. (The previous owners never told us about this, nor did our home inspector, for that matter.)

Description of Work: I had recently bought the house and it needed a chimney cap. Don was helpful, informative and pleasant on the phone, which greatly influenced my decision to go with him. He was exactly the same in person... and very professional. He came, checked things out, installed the cap and suggested additional necessary work. He didn't push or "sell". The additional work and upkeep was as professional as the first appointment.
