Even though I was a new customer they arranged a service appointment to meet my restricted availability. The servicemen made me the first call of the day and arrived right on time. He was very professional, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Exceptional service overall. I couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend Seaside Gas to anyone.

Kevin Saunders, the owner, was very knowledgeable about the product he recommended, and Deb was very efficient and friendly about scheduling the appointment, in addition to following up on the rebates associated with my replacements (furnace & water heater). Kevin's workers were very professional and did a very great job at installing the furnace and hot water heater. I'm so impressed with the system, I invite friends and neighbors over to my house to look at the work. A piece of art.

The owner called back immediately. I'd barely put my phone down. He was totally honest and said he was just too busy to help me replace my water heater today, but that he would not only recommend another company but call the owner personally and relay my need. His honesty is greatly appreciated and while I can't review anything else about his work I think this is incredibly valuable information for any potential customers. Too many tradespeople will promise service, then leave you hanging.

They did an excellent job, they came on time and worked through one of the hottest days of the summer so we had a nice cool house by dinnertime. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have work done.

My experience with Seaside Gas has been outstanding! Kevin Saunders, owner, is a professional in every sense of the word. His attention to detail allowed for a successful installation of both the ductless system and hot water heater. Kevin understood my requirements, reviewed alternative solutions and quoted the best solution to fit my need. Kevin and his team showed up as scheduled. He installed a system in just two days that will cool/heat 10 rooms. I was not present and I felt very secure providing him access to the home. When I arrived to inspect the installation I did not find anything out of place, the installation areas were clean and neat and the system well documented and ready to go. Kevin came to the home the day I arrived and spent considerable time reviewing the systems and showing me how to operate the unit. His back office management is outstanding. All paperwork, Mass Save Rebates, scheduling and billing was performed by his office manager Deborah. I was always able to contact her when I needed. Superb!

Kevin and Deb responded to my calls promptly and I was fortunate to have the work done quickly. Kevin went out of his way to accommodate my needs fitting the work in when he was in the area and available. Service was prompt and professional. I saw Seaside Gas on Angie's List and contacted them based on positive reviews. I couldn't have asked for better service and highly recommend Kevin and Seaside Gas.

The install went well. The challenge with my install was two fold, 1) It was being installed in a condo on Cape Cod that was built on a slab (no basement to run wires), so, electrical was a challenge. 2) There are lots of rules to follow when installing the system in a condo, unit placement, running lines, etc. The initial meeting with Seaside owner, Kevin went well. Kevin took the time to inspect the job thoroughly. The greatest challenge was the electrical. Literally, I had some contractors walk away or say I needed to get the electrician. Kevin provided everything, which I think is a better option, plus if there are issues I only need to speak to one contractor vs chasing two. Kevin worked with the electrician to tackle that hurdle first and it went well - work came out perfect. He then installed the actual system which was made-up of 3 heads and one outdoor unit. The system qualified for both an $1800 rebate + 0% financing up to 7 yrs via Mass Save. What I really liked about Seaside Gas and Kevin was the response time - they were consistently getting back to me within mins or hrs, not days or weeks. Deb, who manages the office did an outstanding job keeping me updated on what was happening, rebates, you name it. She simply did an amazing job! Maybe it's me, but I find a large percentage of the contractors fail in this area. The project was just signed-off by the condo association this week and I'm glad it's complete for the warm summer ahead. Thanks to the folks at Seaside and the electrician who completed our job, we greatly appreciate it!!

Everything about working with Seaside Gas has been great! We had central AC installed in our 3 bedroom, open living area ranch house. I received quotes from four different vendors. Seaside was not the lowest, but they spec?d a higher efficiency system. While other contractors said the math would mean years before the cost savings was reflected, they seemed to be unaware of the Mass Save HEAT Loan program which offered us a 0% interest rate on a 7 year loan (and which their equipment did not qualify). When you factor in that savings we certainly break even quickly on the more expensive unit and are then left with an efficient AC The work was done while we were away but it was completed on time and we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the house when we arrived. Kevin came by when we were back and walked me through the new thermostat and its features. He also came back to tune the system within a week and to make sure everything was running smoothly. It is clear he knows the ins and outs of this business. Deb in the office not only scheduled the work, but also assisted us through the HEAT Loan application process and handled both the manufacturer and Mass Save rebates for the equipment. All of which was a great help. It was evident through every step of the process that Kevin, Deb, and everyone at Seaside are professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I?ve already recommended them to a friend and will continue to do so. I also plan to call them if we decide to replace our forced hot water heating system.

This company is one of the most professional and competent contractors we have dealt with on the Cape. We had one year old system that stopped working just before a holiday and we searched Angie's List for "help" since we are new to area and know nobody in this field. We were thrilled to read all the accolades on Angie's about Seaside Gas. Deb was wonderful and courteous and professional and got us scheduled in before the holiday. We truly appreciated having A/C for our 12 guests over the 4th. Damian and helper Cory were professional, competent and efficient and explained everything in detail that he had done to correct our system and get it up and running perfectly! Thanks to Angie's List, we have found a heating and air conditioning contractor we can rely on and trust!

I haven't been able to get the work done yet. Estimate was very good. Will use Seaside in the future. Kevin is very responsive.

The job went very well. Kevin and his team arrived on the predetermined day. They set up the new system first and when it was ready, the electrician came a couple of days later to get the electrical work established. They did a great job, showed up early and very kindly worked their way through the items that I had unknowingly stacked in front of the electric box (never thought about needing access to that!). A few days later, Kevin and his excellent team returned to finish up the connections and remove the old system. We were left with a clean job and a really great heating system. We've been very happy with the outcome so far and are looking forward to seeing our next gas bill - it should be much reduced from last year's bill!

Kevin has always been quick to respond, professional and efficient. When he installed the new gas heater, he discussed with us our different options and gave his recommendation. Then he installed it quickly and made sure we got our rebate. On the occasions where we have had questions about gas issues, ie. worries about leaks from our stove, etc, Kevin has always been thorough and reassuring, whether he was able to resolve the problem over the phone or needed to come to the house. Recently Kevin came and gave us an estimate on putting air conditioning in our home and he was quick to get that back to us.

This work was done not for me but for a friend who owns a condo but lives off Cape; since I live nearby, I helped resolve this problem. Her renter told me late on Saturday November 9 that the condo's Rinnai gas-fired wall furnace was not producing heat. This happened during the first cold snap of the season, a time when many discover heating problems. In this case it was not a complete surprise since Kevin Saunders of Seaside Gas had overhauled the furnace the year before and although he got it to work fine for the 2012 heating year, he warned it was on its last legs, given its age (over 11 years). Fortunately the condo has backup electric heat, but Kevin was able to come by Monday the 11th and take a look. By the morning of Wednesday the 13th, even though he was strung out with many "heat emergency" customers (which we were not since there was backup electric heat), Kevin had a new unit from the distributor procured, installed and producing heat! Effectively Kevin had diagnosed and solved the problem within 48 hours at the height of the high-demand heating season. This was a relief for all concerned including the renters, who were about to go on vacation and were worried about problems while they were gone. Before they left they sent us a nice letter thanking us for the quickness of the service and the quietness of the new unit. | |This is now the fourth time I have had work done by Kevin in the last six years on two different properties and have been satisfied and impressed each time by the speed and professionalism of his, and his team's, work.

Kevin installed a new furnace and a central air conditioning system for us. He was a pleasure to work with and was always on the job doing the work. He is very knowledgeable and precise with his workmanship. I would highly recommend him.

When we moved to Cape Cod, we bought a very old house. The heating and piping system was old and poorly designed. The electric water heater was sized too large and was costing us an arm and a leg. We got multiple contractors to give us estimates. Most took a quick glance around and gave us a number. Kevin took his time. He crawled around under the house, tracing the piping for quite a while. Then he showed us exactly why the front of the house was far too hot and the back ouf the house was too cold. He was grinning the whole time he was working, not because it was going to be an expensive job but because he was enjoying the challenge that it would be to fix the sytem as a whole and make it right. He worked very h****** the project and has very high quality standards. He took special care to make sure that our cats didn't get into the dirt basement and make it a gigantic litterbox. They are always alert for any chance to get through the basement door. He wasn't the cheapest but we are very happy with our high efficiency system. We continue to use him for the annual check-ups. We absolutely recommend him.

The problem was first detected during a heat wave in late June. It was then that Kevin did the testing described above. I took a couple of (very hot) days to check my options and talk to a few people, and then decided to go ahead with the plan described above -- replace both the air con and heating systems. Since it was so hot out, I wanted the air-con work done "yesterday" and insofar as he was able, Kevin and his crew (all seemed clean-cut, efficient, punctual young men) took out the old air con and installed the new by the 4th of July, a time frame I considered very responsive to my needs. Since it was July, and since I was by far not the only person on Cape Cod with air con problems, I suggested to Kevin that anytime before the end of the summer was fine by me for replacing the heating system, which I believe was the larger job. As it turned out that work was finished in August, on time and like the air con work to a high standard of neat and tidy installation. In the course of checking with others and with other options, one of the ideas I came across was that when replacing heating and air con systems, choosing the right contractor is more important than choosing the right brand of equipment. In my case, the brand Kevin installed was Carrier, but that was not an important factor to me. These days there are a lot of options, some quite sophisticated and expensive, in smart heating and air con systems. My house is a smaller place (about 1500 sq feet to be heated and cooled). After reviewing various more expensive options, we decided on the package I chose (described above) based on what was really necessary for me. I could have spent a lot more -- 12 to 14K -- and would have had smart receptors all over the house controlling what was going on, and would have achieved thereby an even greater gain in efficiency (and perhaps bragging rights), but for my needs the choices made seem about right. While it is too soon to tell exactly, I think my new air con system is indeed saving me some money on electricity. And, as I write this in mid-October it is even more difficult to know the gas heat efficiency of the new system, still it seems to be there too. Overall, I am fully satisfied with the information, service, installation and prices provided by Kevin and his crew. Kevin seems like a direct, friendly, responsive and effective person when it comes to heating and air con work.
