We weren't home when the work was done, but everything came out well and the house looked great. This isn't the first project we've had them do and they always do good work.

First of all - Jeff's responsiveness is SO great for a contractor. He must know this is so important, as he is great at it. Always available for questions, and very quick to respond. We know he's very busy with many customers, but he always treats you like you're the most important - he knows that's the key to success ! :) But in addition, the work that he and his team did was very good. We were SO happy with our new basement - looks fantastic!! And they installed a new tub/shower in our bathroom (where an old clawfoot tub was) as well as new tile floor - wow - so much better !! Then they replaced our awning kitchen window which was a big help. With a couple big jobs like this, there were just a few glitches, that Jeff and team were more than willing to address - which again, was SO appreciative! His prices were very fair - and we will certainly be using him again down the road. Thanks Jeff and team!!

We had three bids on the job. Jeff's bid was the best and we were confident that he would do quality work. He was honest about not being able to start right away, but he was able to meet the time commitments he made to us. We chose a new product, which added some unexpected challenges, but he met all the challenges without asking for more time or money. His crew members were skilled, polite and pleasant. His billings were exactly as he proposed. We never felt like we had to pay him too much in advance. There was never a hassle over money. He subcontracted the electrical work and his subcontractor was great -- we used him to solve some other problems while he was on site. Jeff is very detail oriented and works hard to assure quality and lives up to his commitments. We would use him again.

It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Jeff and his staff were punctual each day, they finished on time, did a terrific job, were responsive to us and cleaned up. We could not have been happier

Jeff Wragg and Patrick Crowley were a pleasure to work with. The work was conducted on schedule and to our complete satisfaction. The basement had to be gutted to the outer walls with new partitions, flooring, electrical, plumbing and de-humidifier installed. Jeff managed every aspect of the job right through final inspection and Patrick personally did the bulk of the work. We were amazed at how much could be accomplished in such a short time. Hire them and sit back and watch!

I have struggled for years to find competent, reliable, and fair-priced workmen to do repairs on my home in Chatham. Until last spring when I found Jeffrey Wragg, owner of the company "Cape Home Remodel - Basement Concepts," through Angie's list. In the summer he rebuilt my deck, and I was so impressed with his professionalism and skilled workmanship that I asked him to finish my basement. When we discussed what needed to be done, he provided excellent advice and subsequently gave me a detailed contract with a very competitive estimate. He completed the job before the deadline, and the final cost did not deviate from the estimate. I am delighted with the job he did; it even surpassed my expectations. It does not surprise me that he has received the Super Service. Award on Angie's list. He truly is everything you want in a workman.

I entered into this project with more than a little trepidation, having never gotten started on something with this scale, but I learned quickly that this is an amazing group of people to work with. Jeff let me know what preliminary steps were necessary (architect and surveyor) to get started after first coming out to look at the house and offer his initial input. He collaborated with me to find ways to fit the smaller, but necessary projects into the larger one, all within my budget. As the project progressed, with Jeff keeping in contact regularly, he and his crew offered valuable suggestions that varied from the original architects plan (substituting fir columns and rails as opposed to the composite), but that created a beautiful deck that I am thrilled with. Jeff also pointed out that keeping the pergola free standing would prevent the need from detaching it in the future when the roof needed shingling (a very appreciated suggestion). Everyone involved with this project was professional, prompt, dependable, approachable, and pet friendly. Pat - Thank you so much for coming over on a non-work day just to pick up the left over wood in the yard. It was left raked and neat, even in the middle of the project. I was amazed at how quickly the project progressed and am absolutely thrilled with the result. You will be so pleased to have this group of people work on your home.

Working with Jeff and his crew was the best experience I have had in working with contractors in my 25 years of owning properties. Jeff did what he said and said what he did. He was honest and fair. Jeff and his crew were very adaptive when any minor or major issues that came up. Jeff helped us understand concerns and came up with effective ways to give us what we wanted while maintaining codes etc...They were very in-tune when during construction that we made some changes on the fly to make the place even better. We learned things along the way and believe that we have the most beautiful cottage in our village. It has been the envy of the neighborhood with many people wanting to top by and take a look. Jeff even hooked me up with a good electrician and had the service changed along with putting everything to current code. From the beginning Jeff was responsive, attentive and honest. Due to a number of factors out of his control, we didn't really get started on the work for almost a year after we first met Jeff and during that time he always responded promptly to questions, made suggestions, and helped us navigate the building process, which was a huge bonus as we live in NYC. Friends and relatives would ask us how we knew our builder was doing what he said he would, and with Jeff it was never a concern. He took complete responsibility for the project and we never had to worry about what was happening. His subcontractors were all extremely professional and went the extra mile as well. The finished product looks amazing and we couldn't be happier with it. I recommend Jeff to anyone and everyone considering a renovation.

As with typical fashion with them they were again prompt, quick and detail orientated. Some of the boards had to be replaced due to rotting. The roof came out great, and it was perfect timing before the big winter blast. These guys are very good at what they do and they care about quality which is a big plus. I'd recommend them for anyone in need of a dependable quality contractor.

Before any work began we met with Jeff to discuss our ideas for the project. He developed a plan and cost estimate for the work that had to be done. Since we were unsure about what we wanted the finished product to look like we were open to suggestions. Jeff discussed the pros and cons of various options and zeroed in on what he thought were the best alternatives based in our budget and goals. As work began we made some modifications, added a tile shower in the bath and additional electric heat in the sitting area and bath. Even with the change we came in right on budget, and one week earlier than our contract called for. I would recommend Jeff to amyone looking for a reliable, honest contractor.

.Jeff was great! We did our business remotely so we relied on him to keep everything going and done properly. He kept us in the loop He did that and asked questions when he needed our input. He was a delight to work with! I would not doubt for a second to hire him again. The floor came out gorgeous by the way! If you need a contractor, this is the guy to hire!

Jeff and his crew were GREAT! They were on time, extremely clean, professional and the job they did was just about perfect. We had all the walls re-done, new doors, lighting fixtures, hardware, insulation, trim and moldings,etc. They removed all the old carpeting and pad in preparation for new carpeting, disposed of everything and ended each work day with everything cleaned up. Jeff was on top of everything. He kept in touch with progress and was very easy to communicate with. They did a beautiful job!! Thank you Jeff and crew!!!

I contracted Jeff to replace our old deck with a new one of the double width. The project had a lot of complexity since the deck was supposed to be raised over the first floor of our house. I and my wife interviewed a number of contractors for the job and every time our choice fell on Jeff by a peer-to-peer comparison. From the first meeting and to the completion of the project he impressed us by his professionalism, thorough thinking, talent to listen patiently to his perspective customers to fully understand their expectations and concerns and importantly to come up with optimal solutions to address them. At some point Jeff became a frequent guest in our house: now matter how busy he was he always found time ( usually on Sundays) to visit us per our invitation and review various design alternatives, esp., to balance the optics and functionality of the future deck with rather strict code requirements in our town. As soon as the contract was signed and Jeff obtained a building permit, his crew arrived and started its work in phases. All work was done with a high professionalism and quality. Jeff held his word and despite the tight schedule (and to my disbelief) managed to finish the entire job by 4th of July thus allowing us to host a big party on the new deck. All our guests were excited with a completely new ambiance the new deck created for our house. I will highly recommend Jeff to anyone who is looking for non--standard quality solutions to non-standard projects. You won't regret.

I contacted Jeff after being ignored by a previous contractor I had a verbal-contract with. Sadly, that guy was the best of the few I had contacted through trial-and-error, without the aid of Angie's list. Jeff was incredibly prompt very soon after I reached out to him, and most sympathetic to my being "burnt" by the previous contractor. Not that I lost any money... but the time, energy and frustration I had recently experienced left me bitter and, somewhat, apprehensive when selecting a new contractor for my project. We had several meetings prior to the start, where Jeff and I discussed my vision of a finished basement that would accommodate visiting family. I knew early on that I would, ultimately, be in great hands with Jeff, as he consistantly showed up a few minutes early for each scheduled meeting! Communication continued to be just wonderful for the duration of the project. Construction started right on schedule... and finished well before the anticipated end-date. The entire project truly went without a hitch. Jeff and his "crew" were punctual, courteous, efficient and polite every step of the way. Jeff navigated a complicated permitting process in my town, no problem. Then I made the decision to install an entire new HVAC system to my home, in tandem with the basement project; Jeff recommended a terrific contractor that worked effortlessly with the his crew. I warned Jeff ,early on, to be prepared for me to change my mind (slightly) in some small design areas as work progressed... and I didn't disappoint! Each time I requested to change the size of a closet (after it was built) or add more tile to an already completed area, I was NEVER made to feel that the changes were a problem... even though his foreman, Pat, needed to lug his tile cutter back onto the work site!! Customer satisfaction was of utmost importance to him, it was very clear. It is very evident that Jeff takes an incredible amount of pride in his business and workmanship, and expects nothing less from his team. He stayed completely on-budget, which was so, so very appreciated. I enjoyed sharing the progress of the project with friends and family as the weeks progressed... and the general opinion from all was how "amazing the finished project matched the vision" I had described to everyone for years in advance. My "dream basement" came to fruition... and I am so excited to host my kids over the holidays with their young families. I honestly wish this site had an "A+" column for reviews: Cape Home Remodel/Basement Concepts would, absolutely, have received many from me. I would... most definitely...encourage anyone to hire Jeff to help make their construction project dreams come true, as mine so happily did!

After some initial frustration with other contractors not getting back to me, I found these guys. Couldn't be more happier from start to finish with the quality of work they did. They didn't take any short cuts and they went above and beyond what was originally asked for yet still were on time and didn't even charge extra for it. They were very prompt with communication. All in all I feel really lucky to have found them given the general lack of good contractors on the cape for this kind of work.

All work was done on schedule and correctly. Workers were great and did not cut any corners in completing the work I will definitely contact them when other projects arrise

I found Jeff on Angie's list when I was looking to have my basement finished. I had several companies quote the job and Jeff was very competitive. He met with me to bounce ideas around for the project and was flexible to changes as the project progressed. The project was started on time and more surprisingly if you've dealt with contractors on the Cape, it was completed on time and Jeff did everything he said he would do. We couldn't be happier with the end result. If you're considering finishing your basement, you won't regret giving Jeff a shot.

Old deck was removed and new deck built, all in one day. Work was excellent, and the crew was very tidy, with nothing left for me to clean up. Very satisfied with results.

Had received a couple of quotes from other builders after a lot of difficulty with follow up. Jeff was GREAT! He actually started the project over a week ahead of time and had it completed in a few days. His crew was very careful with our property no casualties with lawn, sprinklers, etc. Would definitely use Jeff again for other projects.

We contacted Jeff about getting an estimate for some work to tile the kitchen floor, update the bathrooms, replace the interior doors and refinish the hardwood floors. At our first meeting he was very helpful with all the questions we had, and his estimate was the most reasonable that we received. He was great at communicating with us during the work, and the outcome was excellent. We also had discussed having him install a fireplace mantel for us, but we had trouble finding a mantel that was the proper size for our fireplace. When we called to ask his opinion of what to do, he mentioned that he could come up with a nice simple design and build the mantel himself. So he did, and the mantel that he built looks great. We are very happy with the work he did and would definitely work with him again.

From the beginning Jeff was fact-based, honest, dependable, trustworthy, fair. All the qualities you want in a contractor working on your home. Especially since the home is not our primary residence and we were not there to supervise. He provided us with a range for the final cost of the project and we provided him with a deadline. He managed to stay within the cost range and finish the project on time. Plus his work exceeded our expectations. Originally we forgot to include the framing of the basement window. I asked him a few weeks later if he could do this as well. Knowing how busy he was I was certain the answer was NO. Somehow he managed to find the time to frame the basement window and not charge us for this additional work! We HIGHLY recommend Jeff.
