Cape Home Remodel

I had multiple bids last winter for my bathroom remodel project. A few contractors simply did not respond, while others responded with outrageously high bids -- code for "Your job is too small and I am too busy to spend time on it, etc.,etc." Jeff had great reviews on Angie's List, and his professionalism and response to my inquiry corroborated the reviews. Jeff was honest enough to tell me in late December that he would not be able to get to my job until May. His quote was in the ball park of what I had estimated it would cost, having done extensive research on bathroom renovations and a good working knowledge of materials costs. Jeff was quick to answer any questions I had, and this continued throughout the project. Jeff started on time and finished in time so that the bathroom was done prior to the arrival of previously scheduled guests in early June which was my goal. His carpenter and tile setter, Pat, did quality work and was very diligent about getting things done thoroughly. The same was true for the painting and plumbing sub- contractors. Jeff does not do glass so he suggested a glass shower door installer that he had personally used, and he did an outstanding job on the glass shower enclosure. Overall, the result was a great looking bathroom totally remodeled and updated. Jeff (as well as Pat, Mark, and Mike) were a pleasure to deal with and I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

Excellent. Jeff and crew did an outstanding job. They kept us well informed and they adapted quickly when we asked for a few changes. The job was completed on time and on budget. There was some minor incidental damage to a door threshold for which I offered to pay Jeff to repair. Jeff insisted that they would do the repairs for no additional charge - which they did. I rated the pricing as a "B" only because I was and still am unsure about pricing. It seemed to me that the price was fair to both parties. I recommend Jeff and team with no reservations..

Working in an old house is never easy. Cape Home Remodel was able to make the necessary adjustments and make things work out esthetically as well. The work was neat and well done. I would not hesitate to recommend this company because of the quality of the work and reliability.

We used Jeff to replace our old worn down deck in our backyard. He was extremely professional and very responsive to our emails/phone calls. He and his team are thorough and hard working. Jeff obtained all the proper permits and worked in an extremely timely manner. We knew that he would build a high quality professional deck for us that we would be confident would last for many years and not have to worry about any corners being cut. His team was very friendly and respectful while they were here working. Jeff was constantly in touch with updates and was always stopping by the house to check on the work. We will definitely be looking to use Jeff and his team for future home remodel projects at our house. We highly recommend cape home remodel.

Excellent workmanship - on time and on budget.

Jeff, Pat and the crew work on our home like it is their own which makes us feel like a star! Along the way we've changed things (like initially I wanted the new deck stairs on one side of the deck but changed my mind last minute) and Jeff and Pat said it was no problem, without raising an eyebrow or saying it couldn't be done.

The work was done in the fall of 2016 with the start delayed somewhat by complications arising out of the permit process. This was not the fault of Cape Home Remodel and in fact Jeff was helpful in expediting the permitting process , this due in part to his excellent working relationship and reputation with the local building inspector's office. The job took a while to complete as Jeff worked with the local supplier of Azek as more materials had to be ordered as the work progressed. Also, I had informed Jeff that there was no urgency to reach completion as we were into the off season anyway so he could finish as weather conditions allowed. The project was completed in late December, 2016. Both decks look great with the quality of the workmanship being top notch. With a project as customized and complicated as this was, one might expect that there would be a few places that I could point to and think this could look better. There is not one. Jeff and his crew were meticulous and it shows. The project wasn't cheap mainly because the materials used were expensive and of the highest quality. Jeff was careful to order only what material was needed for the job. And I am convinced looking back that I hired the right firm and man for the job. Cape Home Remodel was one of four firms that I interviewed, three pf which submitted proposals. No regrets and would highly recommend Jeff and his crew.

We had plans for a much smaller renovation when we first contacted Jeff Wragg at Cape Home Remodel. He stayed in contact with us for over a year while we were going back and forth with an architect trying to come up with a reasonable design and budget. We had to scale way back on our initial ideas due to structural issues and budget constraints. Jeff was patient and helpful with several ideas as to how to accomplish what we wanted. When the plan was finally completed and all the permits were issued, Jeff and his crew began the work in a very professional and competent manner. Excavation and exterior preparation were done with care, so there was only a minimum change in the landscaping around the house. Work on the interior of the house was extensive, and the issues that were unexpected were attended to with care and attention to communicating clearly with us. We are thrilled with the end result! A small summer house built by our parents in the 1970's has been transformed completely. Although we couldn't get another bathroom or bedroom, we did get a new kitchen and bath, expanded the living space, added a large covered front porch and a large rear deck. We have new windows and doors, new siding, new maple floors, HVAC and electric, new sheetrock, insulation and trim. Basically, everything is brand new, simple and beautiful. The attention to detail by Jeff and his crew was really appreciated. The project took longer than expected, but that was due mostly to the scope of work changes that occurred during the renovation. Jeff was very responsive to all of our questions or concerns during the course of this renovation. We definitely would recommend Jeff Wragg for any home remodeling or renovation project.

They had done a mudroom update a few years ago and did a fantastic job. Thus time as well, Geoff, Pat and Glen were professional, brought up great ideas to make the project better and then executed the work professionally and on time. I was very impressed again. I would hire them again without hesitation. They came when they said they would which is very rare for this industry. They completed the work on time and at the end of each day they cleaned up. They made it as easy as they could for us and I would recommend them without reservation to anyone.

Jeff and his crew were on time and very professional. Their price was reasonable and they cleaned up after themselves. My husband and i were both very pleased.

My husband and I are very happy with our new master suite. A lot of work needed to be completed and at the start of the project Jeff met with me several times to go over the layout. I had many questions for him and he always answered me in a professional and timely manner. He offered suggestions and ideas and never made us feel pressured to accept them. We really appreciated his feedback because he was very knowledgable and really wanted us to have products that would last us a long time. We had a budget and he was very good about helping us stay within our price range. He suggested certain products that he really didn't want us to "cut corners" with because he knew we would be paying the price later on when it needed to be replaced. His foreman Pat did incredible work; it is evident that he takes pride in his work. He didn't seem to mind when I kept changing my mind about where I wanted things placed. Even something as simple as how the shower tiles were placed, he always asked me first and showed me different options. He even on several occasions came to our house early to catch me before I left for work so he could ask me questions and ensure I would be happy with what he was going to do. There were a few other men as well (painters, plumber and electrician) that all had the same professional demeanor. It was a pleasure to work with all of them and every person that has seen our master suite so far has had the same reaction which is "wow this is amazing!"

Jeff and his team did a fantastic job on the deck. The end product was of the highest quality. Jeff will work with you to ensure the work fits within your budget by giving you options, is very thorough with answering questions, and is very responsive. I look forward to using Jeff in the near future.

excellent-Jeff (owner) was responsive to all our phone calls;showed up on time and cleaned up every day when finishing;price was what Jeff quoted;excellent job in all aspects. The electrician Jeff used was very friendly and worked with us on placing all outlets (elec and cable) and switches;-Jeff's guys did the painting, and it was fabulous. We would recommend Jeff and his company to anyone. I wish I had found Jeff and his company a few years ago when we remodeled our garage into a living room.

Jeff and his team did a fantastic job on our basement project. We wanted to create space for a home office, game room, and laundry closet in a previously unfinished basement. Jeff consulted with us early last spring to identify potential challenges (like installing a steel channel on our beam so we could move a lolly column out of the way for the pool table!) and started promptly at the agreed upon date in early October. The work finished in about two months, and was beautifully done to our complete satisfaction. We really are thrilled with the way everything came out. It's worth noting that the contractors that Jeff employed along the way (the electricians, painters and structural engineer) were all exceedingly competent and professional (not to mention friendly!) I really don't have any constructive criticism to offer, and would certainly hire Jeff again.

Jeff completed the project on time and within budget. This included delicate negotiations with building department to secure the largest footprint possible, demolition of the old deck and design/build of the new deck and enclosed shower. What was most noteworthy is that we wanted the work complete for a July 4th gathering at our house. The Wednesday prior, an impaired driver somehow ran into our backyard and struck the just completed frame with their pickup. We feared that would delay project completion. I emailed Jeff that night and he was onsite the next morning at 7 to personally complete deck repairs and keep us on schedule. We were very pleased with his consistent communication throughout the project and the end results.

My husband and I had decided to look into having our basement finished. we called Jeff at Cape Home Remodel and he came over to give us some ideas and write up an estimate. He was very helpful in giving us ideas about the kinds of things that we could do, and helped us to visualize what it would look like. He also pointed out some things that were going to need some extra attention, and gave us some suggestions. He got back to us in a very timely manner with an estimate that we felt was very fair for the work that would be done. As soon as the permits were ready he got to work framing and insulating. He was honest and open with us throughout the whole process, and when unexpected things arose , he handled them with ease. We had an open line of communication with him at all times, and felt comfortable calling or texting him with any questions. He was right on track with his time frame with the exception of a town inspection which was not his fault. The basement came out better than we had imagined! He created a great living space for our family, which includes a family room, game room, and an office. There is also plenty of closet storage space for my kids toys, and an office space as well. We also had a 1/2 bath added, which came out great as well. We would use Jeff Wragg again for any project at our house, and would highly recommend him to others looking to do any remodeling. He is honest, professional, and does beautiful, high quality work. You won't be disappointed with Cape Home Remodel-Basement Concepts.

Jeff kept the frame of the existing deck and replaced the boards with Azek boards, but we also asked him to move the stairs of the existing deck to a different location on the new deck. The work was done exactly as we asked and the new deck looks great. Jeff also ended up replacing all the support brackets to strengthen the frame. We wanted the outdoor shower to be replaced and found a design online that we liked. We sent Jeff a picture of the new shower, and just using that picture he built the new shower exactly like we wanted. As for the window, Jeff had to enlarge the opening and install the new larger window, then fix and re-paint the siding. Once again, the work was done perfectly.

Exceptionally well, Jeff was great to work with and very responsive. The quality of the work and end result are far better than we expected/hoped. We would absolutely work with Jeff again.

Jeff was prompt, responsive, reliable, thoughtful and creative. We met with Jeff to review the scope of the work. Within 48 hours, Jeff sent a work proposal including pricing and a contract. Jeff provided the proposal with the lowest price. More importantly, Jeff provided the best solution for the use of our space. He scheduled the work for April 2016. Approximately mid-January of 2016, Jeff called and offered to start almost immediately, due to the rescheduling of another project. The work required about 6 weeks, although we were clear with Jeff that we were in no hurry, because this was our summer house. During the project, we visited the house only once. All other decisions were managed by email and swapping photographs. The workmanship exceeded all of our expectations. We requested lots of lighting. Jeff provided 12 recessed lighting fixtures, in addition to closet lighting! Jeff selected the bathroom fixtures for us ("signed off" by photographs). We were delighted to find that Jeff had (on his own initiative) hung a bathroom mirror over the sink. During the renovation, we had only two miscommunications: 1) the size of a water heater to be installed, and 2) the type of external door to install. Jeff replaced the water heater and the external door with the model/size of our choice at minimal or no additional cost! Upgrades were few, and the cost was extremely reasonable. Over the past two decades, we have had the experience of "gutting" and rebuilding a century old house, adding two additions, and several remodeling projects. This was the easiest and best managed all of these projects. We highly recommend Jeff and his team.

The job went very well. I was impressed with the professionally-written proposal and contract. Not all home remodelers write a contract, but this 4-page document was detailed and thorough. It may have been based on a template, but nevertheless appeared to be written by someone with a decent education. Jeff and his team did a great job on this remodeling project, and left the area clean. New gutter replacements were delayed in delivery, which delayed completion of the project, but I do not believe this was the fault of Cape Home Remodel. Price was reasonable. He actually went a little above and beyond the contract by replacing some outside lighting fixtures and the front doorbell button.

After using several contractors over the years, I found Cape Home Remodel to be very professional, responsive and they exceeded our expectations. Jeff, the owner, was always there to offer his expert advice along the way. He answered my calls, emails and text messages promptly. His team performed the work accurately and masterfully. We had electrical, plumbing, tile and painting done in our home. I can strongly recommend this company as I would definitely use there services again should the occasion arise.

At first everything looked perfect. Until we went thru one heating and cooling season. Now every fourth board is separated and is leaving a wide gap. The only reason this could happen is he did not let the board acclimate to the house temp. It looks horrible for a year old floor.
