"Top dawg movers, they are a a fresh breath in the industry. I’ve moved 4 times in the last 6 years. Without failure, something went wrong every single time, except, when I hired these guys. I’ve had broken and missing property, and one of the other moving companies I hired, they weren’t the type of people I’d leave home alone with my wife and kids. This outfit was accessible, I had no difficulties in contacting them, scheduling, or just calling to clarify a few unexpected details. That’s rare these days. They were punctual, showed up 15 minutes early for the job, and were highly expedient with their estimate. Top Dawg brought plenty of muscle. I moved from a 4 bedroom apartment, wife kids, an entire life to pack up. They were amiable, busted their a****, and constantly stopped the wife and I got clarification to make sure the job was done right. Oh, they were also good with the kids. Everything was wrapped up and covered with padding, boxes were labeled and taped up. Nothing was broken or misplaced. The unpacking was quick, and efficient. It was definitely the energy and work ethic of a company that cares about its reputation, and is trying to excel. Most importantly, the bow tying all of that professionalism, was the price that came with it. The price tag was highly competitive, they worked with me, and I actually wanted to tip them when they were done with the job. So, that’s my experience, that’s why I have 5 stars for them. "I would give zero stars if I could. This company is absolutely terrible. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A SMALL MOVE, DO NOT BOOK HERE! I had a small move (approx. a studio apartment’s worth) from PA to OH and booked my move over a month ahead of time. I was told that since I had a small move, my stuff would have to go on a truck with a larger shipment - understandable. They gave me the “standard” 3-week delivery window, but I was told by Luke that they would “work with me on dates” and that they would have “no problem getting it there within a week”, most likely 1-3 days. Those were complete lies. I also tried to be as flexible as possible and gave them multiple options for days for pickup. As the weeks went by and it got closer to my moving date, I periodically asked for updates on dates. I got no answers. One week away from when I was supposed to move, I still didn’t have any idea when my stuff would be picked up or delivered. All Luke would tell me was “no update yet”. At this point, I had to scramble last-minute to book a different company. LESS THAN ONE WEEK before my move, I cancelled with Allied and only AFTER CANCELING did they FINALLY give me POTENTIAL dates. Terrible communication and customer service. Book somewhere else!"
