It was okay. I felt that they did not do all that they could do. They just did the minimum and did not address one of the issues we have such us termite activity.

Terminix was incapable of treating our rodent problem and has been dishonest in their dealings with me after agreeing to cancel my service and refund my money. My service was cancelled but I have yet to get a refund almost two months after being told I would. My wife and I got the exclusion service after hearing scurrying in our family room. We planned to be customers of Terminix for years and wanted a partner to protect our home since we live in a wooden area. In the months after signing our agreement in late June 2019, and paying the year in full, Terminix failed in doing anything to remedy the problem. They never caught a rodent or even officially diagnosed the problem. The scurrying in the family room got worse over time. I was very clear in describing where we were hearing the noises, yet the technician never set traps or showed any interest in the room where we actually had the problem. Traps were set in the basement and attic and they didn’t catch anything over the weeks and months they were set. Instead of changing course and trying something new the plan never changed. It got to the point where Terminix would show up for a follow-up, go into the attic for a couple minutes to check the traps (again nothing was ever caught), and then leave saying that we need to schedule another follow-up in a couple weeks and repeat this mindless and ineffective process. It was clear that the technician was not interested in doing the work to remedy the problem. We also had a couple experiences where the technician never showed up to a scheduled appointment. I lost faith in Terminix and spoke with Allan and Mark from the Worcester branch about the poor service. I was especially concerned about the fact that the problem was seemingly getting worse and the potentially health risks that could be posed to my pregnant wife. Mark agreed to cancel our service and issue us a refund when we spoke on 11/2/20. Allan called me the next day to confirm that our service would be cancelled, and we’d get a full refund, yet he wasn’t clear on the timeline. We got notice that our service was cancelled on 11/12/20. We have yet to receive a refund and multiple attempts to reach Mark and Allan for a status update were unsuccessful both through direct calls and multiple inquiries through customer service. We’re at the point now where we have to file a business complaint through the attorney general’s office. We ended up hiring a local pest removal company shortly after cutting ties with Terminix. There was an area outside in the back corner of the family room where mice could climb up and get into the soffits – Terminix never properly sealed the outside (I have pictures of what they did) or bothered to recheck even though this is where we were hearing the activity. The new company properly sealed the outside and wired traps in the soffit. Multiple mice were caught in the soffit traps over the next few days. Within a week the scurrying in the family room was completely gone. The fact that a new company was able to treat our problem so quickly speaks volumes to the completely ineffective service we got from Terminix – they didn’t live up to their end of the contract and now won’t return my calls regarding the status of my refund.

Good. We had termites 2 years after moving in house, damage was fixed and we began using Sentricon Staions by Terminex. They ended their contract with Sentricon and have their own which we currently use. The initial investment in the stations was expensive and they encouraged us to switch to their Thermidor Products but we refused. We have another company on cape cod which uses that for carpenter ants

I have used them for years now. They are prompt for the appointments. They take my requests well. I wish their prices were lower.

My experience has been fine. I had ants for years and they were able to solve my problems. They show up on time for the appointments and they call to let me know when they are coming.

I have been a Terminix customer since 2009 with both a termite policy and a pest control policy. This spring I spotted termite action in an old stump in my back yard and called Terminix for termite service for the first time ever. Rather than a service call they sent the sales guy out and gave ma a $1,000 estimate. When I called to ask why the explained the credit card I had on file for termite service expired back in February and the service was canceled. Never-mind the fact I was not notified, I also had pest control services the entire time that they continued to bill fine on an alternate credit card. I had know way of knowing I did not have protection and continued to see automated charges going through from Terminix. To top it off when I called customer service they could care less. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I have seen a Terminx employee about once a year at my house and have never had any service claim. I feel taken and very frustrated. *********UPDATE************ Local branch contacted me and is working this out with me.

Awful!!! Don't use!!!! Originally when we called they said they would find out where they were coming in for us, they would put down traps and come back often since a mice problem isn't something you spray for and its done. They would be back every couple of days to check traps, clean out and put new ones down. However when the guy got here, it was a much different story. He said its impossible to find where they come in and he laid down traps. We had to call because some of the traps were filled and beginning to smell a week later. They came out in another day or two. Again, we had to make the contact. A different exterminator came out from the first guy and he couldn't find where the original guy hid the traps in the ceiling. From the smell of things, we'll be tearing down our drop ceiling to try to figure this out! Still no help. I've called repeatedly for a refund, got one voicemail, but I've had to call back. Nothing is resolved. They have cancelled my annual contract but have not refunded anything. It is up to the individual location managers if they offer the refund which sounds like crap when they say they have a satisfaction guarantee in place. Don't use these guys!

In the past I’ve been billed a yearly rate. However, they have sent me a quarterly bill, which is much more than the yearly rate. I have tried in vain for 2.5 weeks to get ahold of somebody in the Springfield office – I am continually told their phone is busy. Finally a man named Al called me. I asked him to send me my yearly bill, and asked for Jim. He said he wanted to help me and would send me my yearly bill. I waited and waited and it was not taken care of. I called recently to cancel my service. After the main office tried 3 times I was finally able to get ahold of the Springfield office to let them know why I was cancelling. He asked me if there was anything he could do to keep me around and I said no. I told him about my dissatisfaction for the quarterly bill they sent me and their lack of responsiveness for changing it. You cannot even reach this office. Al told me once again he would take care of the $80 charge, but knowing Al I could just be talking to a stone wall.

So far I have been very happy. Just before my last scheduled visit, I had an outbreak of ants in the kitchen. The technician sprayed outside the house and under the sink, and after he left I did not see a single ant again. I will definitely continue as a Terminix customer.
Description of Work: I hired Terminix in late 2011 to deal with a mouse problem in my basement - the first time I have had an issue since purchasing the house in 2006. I have had two quarterly follow-up visits since then. I've dealt with two different technicians and both were extremely pleasant and professional, and both were very prompt (or early!). They explained everything they were doing and answered all my questions, assuring me that I should call immediately if there were any further problems.

I think that they are expensive. I would say that they are satisfactory. They don't always come out while we are home. They don't do the termite stations anymore. They now do injections in the ground. I would stay with them for now.

We were very happy with our service representative.
Description of Work: Calling to get an appointment for someone to come out and look at the house and assess the pest problem was highly bureaucratic and off-putting. However, the person they finally sent was very helpful and personable. We got tips from him on dealing with the problem in ways that are preliminary to professional pest removal. His suggestions seem to be working, but if we cannot solve the problem this way, we will certainly return to the company for professional pest removal.

We fired them over the summer and it was the local call center and not the representatives. The representatives were great, but the call center couldn’t seem to send us an e-mail or call us to let us know when they were coming so that we could get our inside service. After about the third time, we finally called their eight hundred number and we fired them. We had an annual contract with them and we spent somewhere around $400 a year. We would tell others that the service was that the people that were sent out here were great; it was just that no matter how much we begged and pleaded we could not get the call center to let us know when they were coming. In order to let them into the house, we needed to know when they were coming. The price was fine and the people at the eight hundred numbers and the people that came out were very professional. It was just the local call center. We think that there are plenty of other companies out there and because we did not have a great experience with them for what we were paying, we think we are going to try a green company next. We used them when we moved our daughter and granddaughter up to Massachusetts and the guy that came there was very punctual and he did a fabulous job. We told him the problem we had with our local Terminix and he assured us that Lauren would not have that same problem. We have not heard that she has had any of those problems.
Description of Work: We used Terminix International Co for pest control. The last time we used them was about the summer.

It was fine. Tech was friendly. 30 day guarantee. I wouldn't use them again, but hindsight is 20/20.
Description of Work: Hired Terminix to get rid of a yellow jacket's nest. The next is pretty much still there, and I'm sure it will go away with winter, but we wanted to enjoy the yard while we could. He sprayed a bunch of chemicals and confirmed that the nest wasn't in the basement. Kind of surprising that they don't provide ANY protective gear to the techs. He was wearing shorts while trying to get rid of a pretty big nest!

I wasn’t at home when he came and removed the nest. However, he didn’t clean up after himself. He told me not to waste money to keep them away from building a nest again. He told me to get a power washer and remove them when I see them nesting. They were good and worth every penny; they were reasonable. The guy was professional and polite.
