Generally speaking, the technicians that came to the house were very knowledgeable, helpful, and polite. They completed their work in a timely manner and cleaned up after themselves. Initially there was an issue with scheduling. I waited ALL day for technicians to show up for the first scheduled appointment. By 5:30 that day I received a phone call asking if a would reschedule because the technicians running behind. I did reschedule for the following weekend and everything turned out well.

Awesome. Honest joe climbed on top of chimney to go beyond required job. Also Kyle was awesome. They are the guys to hire. Very honest. No attempt to upsell anything you didn t need. You can t go wrong with Shamrock Chimney out of New York.. you will be very pleased with the cleanliness, efficiency, clean up . Never know that we had a complete do over except for the new stainless steel chimney cap. We have a metal roof which made it a difficult challenge as you cannot walk on the roof as it will leave indentations. Joe and Kyle went with a 40 ft ladder directly to the chimney. I re iterate, you will not see any evidence or debris that a major job being performed. Laws have changed, do it would be to your advantage to call them and get your chimney inspected. Tell them brian o sent you from cape cod. Nice job guys.

I had received an estimate from a contractor friend and decided to try Home Advisors. Shamrock Chimney called the same day I went on line to Home Advisors. Joseph & Tommy came out looked at what needed to be done and did it for less than my contractor friend's estimate. I was given a price and I hired them on the spot. Joseph took pictures of the chimney before and after which was an added bonus. The work was done in a professional manner. All debris was taken away, Joseph & Tommy were great and conducted themselves in a professional manner.

The company was able to do the job when they got there and they did it in a timely matter, I thought the price was reasonable for the job that was done.

Be prepared for the sales pitch!

They put up my new chimney cap in July. In October a piece of it fell off. I have called nine times to get someone to come back. STILL WAITING!!!

Given 0.5 because you have to pick something. Very expensive for minimal work and materials. After multiple schedules we finally got Shamrock out for a quote. High pressure sales leading me to believe that I was being given 3 discounts, (military, AARP, and same day discounts) total BS, original quote to repoint sections, repair a cracked chimney cap, seal chimney and flashing. Quoted $3,900, but if I agreed to same day price would be adjusted to $3,300. Agreed to do job, felt highly pressured and knowing nothing about masonry work, felt I would go with the same day quote. Both workers left at 8:45 to get supplies; returned at 11:45, one man up on ladder, the other retrieved to the truck for a 2-hour nap, we called Shamrock after my husband came home and obviously startled the sleeping worker in the truck @ 2:45. We asked that both workers leave, Shamrock insisted on talking to the worker in the truck, he was very adamant and blamed my husband for getting him in trouble with his boss. He did pop up onto the roof after a conversation with his boss, then both workers were off the roof, ladder packed back up and out of the driveway by 3:45. Ridiculous, I called Shamrock and stated I was going to file complaints with both state of NY and MA attorney generals offices as well as BBB. $3,300 for one worker working possibly 3 hours the other perhaps an hour. Seriously scammed and I did not feel this was fair or equitable. After deliberation with Shamrock, and the promise to send another worker out to fix our chimney (but again never called or showed) we stated we wanted nothing more to do with Shamrock, they did refund us back $1,000 that afternoon, We have never dealt with a company with what we feel are deceptive sales practices. I would highly recommend you do not do business with these people. Very uncomfortable dealing with workers, unprofessional, and we feel we got scammed. May 12, 2022 CONSUMER BEWARE!! Would like to update my review almost three years later. I now have a qualified mason on my roof who is tearing the work done by shamrock chimney down because it has deteriorated to the point of holes in the brickwork and chipping and fraying of the exterior bricks. I am being told that no work is visible of repairing the grout and repointing, just evidence that a product was laid on top of the existing mortar and then sealed causing this deterioration. Also the cap was cemented without removing the existing cap with a water plug cement! Not recommended! Needless to say all of the brickwork that shamrock touched with the filler between bricks, (not the proper mortar), was inferior and caused the damage we are currently in the process of fixing. So the â contractâ stating repointing of our chimney, was never done, they simply put a compound over the mortar that was in repair then sealed this wet mortar same afternoon . Our mason informed us this never should have been sealed, this is what caused the deterioration of the brickwork we paid so much! Wet filler/mortar should never be sealed!!! Do not sign on with these people, they certainly took us for an expensive ride!

Fast service and reasonably priced.

Workers came promptly, replaced a missing chimney cap and removed a squirrel nest in chimney. They explained what was needed and completed the job efficiently. There was a followup call from the company to see if we were satisfied, which we were.

William and Bernie were the two who did my work, and they were excellent.
