Shamrock Chimney

Seemed to do most of their work in late afternoon/dusk. Quality does not look as nice in the sunlight. I definitely overpaid for the job? Twice what the next bid was. But I hired them as they could start right away, and they **talked the talk** Turns out that they did not come back to finish the job for almost 2 weeks, so I wasted my money. But they offered a good warranty, which is a good thing since both of their newly installed chimney caps blew off within 2 days of the 10-day warranty.

Our tech Joey and his Apprentice Dallas were sweet, seemed to hussle to get the job done. We were not psyched when the company blew off our appointment times twice, ( once for appraisal and once for work), but then came on a day the weather was not conducive to doing the work to try to make up for not showing up a day earlier when we had an appointment. We are reasonable people and would absolutely not want someone to show up to just show up. A simple call in both scenarios would have gone a long way. In summary: The office seems disorganized 😕. The tech were awesome.

Some scheduling issues on Saturday which was resolved by the company sending Joe & his assistant on Sunday (they do not typically take jobs on Sunday so this was amazing service recovery!). He came on time and was able to do the job the same day at a very fair price. Joe showed us pictures of the issues and explained what was needed and why. He was a pleasure to work with, super courteous and very personable. Joe showed us what everything looked looked like after the work was done. We'll definitely call Shamrock for the maintenance of our chimney & flues going forward.

UPDTATE HomeAdvsior referred me to arbitration and the process was fast and effective. The project failed ans i used someone else to repair the project.

We hired them expecting to pay 75.00 for a cleaning. 5 hours and 2700.00 later we have a built up chimney that we couldn't use with a plastic bag on it to protect the new cement. Was supposed to come back early the next morning. I climbed on roof to remove it. He showed up 2 days later.

Some scheduling issues which was resolved. The work product was fine. The technicians did very good job. Perry, Holbrook, Ma.

Crew was on time and pleasant to deal with. Price for chimney cleaning was the lowest out of 3 quotes, however quality of the chimney cleaning was poor. Upon inspection there is still significant dirt/creosote remaining. The crew left a long list of maintenance items that needed to be completed for our chimney, but failed to explain the importance of doing each of the items. They will not provide an itemized list of work to be done either. All or nothing at a single price. If you do not choose to perform all recommended work you will be contacted by a sales representative to try and schedule remaining work.

-The cost was way overpriced (discovered after the job was done). - Damage to the roof shingles by the crew working in the chimney. They left without completing the job (still final brickwork to be done) and they cashed my check for a job that's still not complete to date. Very costly and disappointing.

We found this company on Home Advisor gave them a call and they came the same day. We were having a problem with water coming in. The young man told us he could DEFINITELY fix it and the work would be guaranteed. It rained a couple of days later and we called them because it was still leaking. The original work took place on September 6,2019. We have been promised for someone to come back at least eight times. After numerous phone calls and too many manufactured excuses no one has shown up for any of the appointments. We paid $2,100.00 for the work they supposedly did. They had no problem showing up the first day we contacted them through Home Advisor. I really feel this company should NOT be on Home Advisor because it is misleading people. The company is a sham?

Lot of work for just two men

I hire them 2 weeks ago, I don't about chimney and I Porsches my first house here in Worcester. I need the chimney to be inspected and clean. They told me that need to be rapier, water was damaging the wall of the chimney and the cap was to small and they need to order a larger one and it was going to cost 3,300.00 dollars. I told them to do the work and until today 09/12/19 I am waiting for them to bring the new cap and finish the job. The chimney is open and it have been raining a lot so the rapier that they support to did my be is damage by now . I call them few time and the office told that they will call me and until today I didn't received any phone call to let me know when they are going to fix it. At this point I am doubting if they even fix anything. So wandering do I need to go to the police to resolved this matter.

Quoted a fair price and did a good job

This was the most difficult company I have ever had to work with. I scheduled service and not only did no one show up during the scheduled time, I had to contact them to find out they were running behind, then found out at the end of business day they would not be coming!!! We rescheduled, and AGAIN I had the same experience. They had such poor communication it is unbelievable. Finally, when they ended up showing up 5.5 hours after they were rescheduled to they had not even called me to let me know they were coming. The men who did the service were fine, explained everything, but because of the absolute lack of professional courtesy I would never work with this company again.

This was the best company in my area for project to remove wood stove. Best guys ever and work was done well and quickly. Only problem was the appointment time was difficult due to time of day and location. Still a good experience.
