Came late in the day, not when they were scheduled

Hired Shamrock out of Worchester location to install stainless steel stabilization bracket for masonry brick chimney in August 2020. Installed bracket is too large and does not make contact with chimney, hanging in space, and does not accomplish function designed to do. Have tried getting them back out repeated since August. Lots of phone calls but have not come back out to fix and do what they were paid to do, 5 months later. Customer service from office awful. Advise not to use this company.

Pro was very hard to come back to fix the stone pipe. They didn't remove the stove pipe. Could of caused a fire. All the work they did fell apart. Poor service. Asked pro to come back never did to fix work and didn't return calls. Would not recommend this company.

BUYER BEWARE: Extremely shoddy work which resulted in extension of damage. did not follow up on phone calls or email correspondence. Will need to find another contractor for additional repairs.

BUYER BEWARE. Subpar work that will end up costing you more money in the end to repair. Very flakey workers--be prepared to have them cancel on you several times before they even show up to do low quality work. Offers a 10-year warranty they don't honor. I now need to pay another company to complete the repairs I already paid them to do because they refuse to honor their warranty and correct their work. Part of the job was to waterproof chimney and now my chimney is filling with water. Will need to pay someone else to fix the damage they failed to address, but charged me for.

Called to cancel this service and Chris went off telling me about fees that he will get charge by from using Home advisor app. He then said that he will forward me the bill to pay. This is very bad customer service.

They're a little on the pricy side but do excellent, thorough work.

Initially, I was impressed with their responsiveness. Their techs were knowledgeable and prompt with appointments. Unfortunately, their service and scheduling department has much to be desired. Techs were scheduled to inspect the persistent leak in my chimney from my roof in the dark. In one instance, an appointment was made with a days notice and scheduled to occur during completely inappropriate weather for the repairs. After $3k worth of repairs, my chimney still leaks, and winter is here. I would never recommend this company.

Chris and Jacob were very professional and explained what they needed to do in a very efficient manner. I would recommend them to anyone that needs chimney work done.

They were great! The phone contact was really good, with an actual human being. They alerted me before arriving in a timely and friendly manner. They came last week and checked things out - showed me videos of my chimney and explained options. The very next day, they returned and did the (major) chimney repair. Again, timely, efficient, friendly. The price was fair - a little lower than a previous estimate with a better warranty. And they arranged zero-interest financing. A pleasure to deal with them - highly recommend.

Poor workmanship on our project and from the stand point of dealing with the company id say they are very arrogant and non-responsive. I do not appreciate being hung up on during a conversation

I was told when cleaning the chimney they would be using a high power vacuum. No vacuum was used. Just a broom. We agreed to install 2 chimney caps for an additional $400. After they left my husband went on the roof to inspect and noticed one was not the correct size and much smaller than needed allowing space on each side. When he called, the man he spoke to was very rude and said why are calling now you should have inspected before thy left. He then proceeded to call my husband old and was quite insulting. He then asked my husband to take photos and send it to him which he did. He has since called him and no response. Very unprofessional and poor customer service.

I had a great experience with Shamrock Chimney. After receiving a shocking quote and generally bad experience with another company, we called Shamrock and they sent Jose to come out and give us a quote for the same work. Jose was fabulous. Truly excellent customer service and I wish all contractors were as good but we all know it’s hard to find good people to do work when you need it. Jose took time to inspect the chimneys, shared videos with us as he was on the roof so we could really see what was going on and he gave us options for how to repair. We learned that the situation was not as bad as the previous company made it seem and that we had options. He recommended a solution that cost less than half of what the previous company recommended. He even patched an unrelated tear in the roof shingles while he was up there, saying he has a “2 minute rule - if it takes 2 mins, just do it”. We love him! The Shamrock experience was smooth from start to finish. Scheduling was easy and communication was great. I will be a customer for life.

Was given a time period from 9 am-12 pm. At 12:10 received a call and was informed they would not be able to make it to the job... After 3 hours of sitting around waiting for them to get there. Many similar reviews. Did not reschedule with them.

Shamrock Chimney came out to clean my chimney and do an inspection. They discovered that my clay liner for my oil burner exhaust had disintegrated. They were able to remove and replace the liner and educate me on the proper maintenance of my chimney. They were very professional and tidy. I will continue to use their service.

Excellent service. Very quick response time. As best as a I can tell (I am just not experienced enough to accurately judge), the quality of the work was also excellent. The cost seemed vey high, but I would pay it again for the peace of mind I received after the work was complete. Also, Jose, who performed the work, went to great pains to explain and document the work performed.

I was scheduled an appointment window between 11-2. I waited around until 130 then called just to be told they are taking more time than expected. 4 rolls around and I call back and they stated they would call me when they left the current house they were at. They finally arrived at 440 and did maybe 2 minutes of work and quoted me a price of over 3,000 for work that they thought should be done. To quote someone that much money when you can not even notify them that you are going to be late is ballsy. I would not recommend them to anymore.

I was shocked to see the amount of soot in my chimney, along with crumbling tiles, had to have it relined, but Christopher and Jacob were amazing. Everything was shown to me via phone videos while Jacob was on the roof, and Chris explained everything to me as it was done. They were quick and through and very professional, I would recommend them to everyone.

He was not knowledgeable about my flues, and within 20 minutes of arrival wrote a proposal for 3k worth of masonry repairs. He removed one cap and left it on the roof, so now I need to have someone go back up and put it back on.
