The two men that came to provide the service were polite and pleasant to deal with. They did a good job and cleaned up any mess. I chose this company because they could provide the service quickly, my only complaint was that they arrived well after the scheduled window of time. They clearly had a very booked schedule, with the job after mine. They did not rush the job, however, and took the time to explain the service to me.

Thet should of had a shop vac to clean out the lower T-section of the chimney insert.

The two men that did the chimney inspection and cleaning were quite pleasant and knowledgeable. I had a cleanout from the chimney that was long overdue for cleaning. One of the men took care of it and explained it had not been cleaned for many years. He alerted me to the potential problems with all the dust from the fireplace becoming compacted and possible fire hazard. I really appreciated the honesty and information. I will definitely have them come back to clean the chimney.

The first appointment Shamrock canceled due to shortage of help, okay. Second appointment Shamrock canceled due to inclement weather? sunny at my location, raining south of my location? okay I will deal. For the third appointment, we were on, even got a call from the tech saying they were on the way and in traffic. No problem! See you soon. 2 hours later - no answer techs number, no answer office/dispatch. 30 mins later, we had mechanical difficulties and we need to reschedule.? Tech eventually sent me a picture of the van off the road. For me, 3 strikes and you are out. You lost my confidence so call me harsh if you want but I will be going to another company for my annual chimney maintenance.

After having been left in a bit of a mess by a previous contractor, we decided not to continue with it, we contacted Shamrock Chimney and explained the unfortunate situation we found ourselves in. Within three days, Corey and Frank had arrived to attack our problem. Corey was astounded at what he found; a torn liner, like one of those in a clothes dryer and dozens of bricks, some removed unnecessarily, scattered on the ground. He quoted us a price, not a lot less than our original contractor had, but we were in desperate straits and had no times to get additional estimates. He said there was a lot more work to do than we had expected and showed us why. He and Frank started work on Thursday and by Saturday noon had, miraculously to us, completed the whole repair and cleaned up the mess we had been left with. We now have two new stainless-steel liners and chimney caps and a rebuilt chimney. I rated the work quality as 5.0 but, having read reviews of other chimney repairs, hope the work will, last and have no reason to expect otherwise. As for 4.0 for value for the money: estimates of chimney repair charges are all over the place on the internet, so it is hard to judge. Corey told me he had taken our plight into consideration when setting a price. Based on our interaction, I have no reason to doubt him. In sum, we found ourselves in a totally chaotic situation on one Saturday, but by the next everything was back to normal or better even. Based on our experience with Corey, with Shamrock you have the luck of the Irish, not so much Emerald.

I am a new homeowner and wanted to get my wood stove chimney cleaned. Good thing I did as there were dangerous problems with the chimney. Wasn't expecting the large bill for the repair, but now I know I will not have a chimney fire, or worse.

They were prompt and advised when they were on the way. They had the right cap, and the repairs looked good.

The guys were prompt and considerate, and the fall special pricing was very cheap ($50/chimney) - but I did feel like the company was using a cheap cleaning to upsell on additional services, e.g. $500 creosote treatment. We had all our chimneys cleaned/inspected just one year earlier, and had maybe 5 fires in the fireplace since then, so I'm not convinced that the creosote buildup that Shamrock called a "serious fire hazard" was really that serious. Before having this work done I would get a second opinion for sure, as it may just be a scare tactic.

We hired Shamrock to put a liner in our wood burning fireplace. They were friendly on site and advised us to install a 6-in liner. They pressured us to make a decision on the spot and we agreed. Since installation we have been unable to use our fireplace. The downdraft fills up the entire house because the liner is too small. Weâ ve had 3 other companies out since and everyone has said that a 6-in liner would never be big enough and any reputable company should know that. We had no idea and now have to remove it at our own cost, along with paying for a new solution. Caution to everyone - Shamrockâ s out was saying that the receipt noted that they were not responsible for downdraft. Thatâ s crazy, and I suspect that they use this tactic all the time. Our fireplace is unusable and we paid a lot of money for work that we now have to pay to take out! Shamrock has been no help in getting this fixed, only telling us to buy wood racks and other items that do not fix the fundamental problem! Stay away!!!

We hired Shamrock to clean our flues. Big Billy and Jason came out and did a wonderful job. Very neat and very knowledgeable. Would recommend them for sure. You donà ¢à  à  t take someoneà ¢à  à  s word for it, get your chimney inspectedà ¢à  à ¦..we did have a stainless flue put in because the home had the original cement and brick oneà ¢à  à ¦.however, they did treat us right and saved us significant money and time. Building codes change over time, you should update when available.

The young men who came to repair our chimney were extremely nice and explained everything they would be doing. They showed us pictures of other chimneys they worked on and they took pictures of our chimney to show us what needed to be done. Highly recommend them.
