I was trying to avoid replacing my hot water heater since I was moving in 3 weeks. The first two plumbers I called didn't even consider fixing it as an option, and took less than 30 seconds inspecting the tank to make that determination. Scott understood that I was trying to avoid replacing the unit and took 20-30 minutes taking apart the heater to check if we could replace some parts. I called Scott to have a look at a drain vent that was not completed by the builder when my house was built. I came to know about this much later and was told that it is a dangerous situation to have the vent exposed in my attic. I tried to call a number of Plumbers around my town. Of the 10 to 15 calls I made, 2 plumbers responded and only 1 came to visit and look at the issue. The plumber from Garabedian wanted to charge me $100 for having just done the visit and said to add the vent it would cost about and quot;$1000and quot;, although they never mentioned there would be a charge for the visit. I did not go ahead with them and looked around again. I happened to find Scott on a website, he came promptly and had a look at the work, told me it will be and quot;$135and quot; installed with labor and material. He came back in a couple of days with his son as he needed help for someone to get on to the roof and installed the vent. It took them about a hour to get it completed. The work was done with great expertise and perfection. I am truly impressed by the honesty, promptness, and reliability of Scott.Very few plumbers are like him and I felt it is important for me to take sometime and put a review about him

I recently purchased a condo in Boston's North End and completely renovated the property. Both the kitchen and bathroom need to be completely replaced. Additionally, I wanted to install a washer and dryer in the unit. 1. Price: The price could not be beat. Scott McDonald's pricing was extremely competitive and I do not think I could have gotten a better price for the work that was done. 2. Quality: I could not be happier with the work that was done. Scott's attention to detail really shows in his work. Both the kitchen sink and dishwasher run flawlessly. The bathroom sink was a challenge to hook up because of the small size of the bathroom, but Scott was able to seamlessly fit the piping to the bathroom sink fixture. Installing the piping for the clothes washer required some trial and error due to the inspection process. Scott was finally able to figure out a solution to the problem of running the washer pipe from the bedroom to the bathroom. Having a washer and dryer in my unit is a luxury and it could not have been done without the hard work of Scott. 3. Responsiveness: Although Scott McDonald Plumbing and Heating is based out of Worcester, Scott made the commute into Boston many times without any delay. I highly doubt that a plumbing and heating company based out of the North End could have done the work as fast as Scott did. 4. Punctuality: Again, making the drive from Worcester, Scott was often at my condo before 7:00 am. 5. Professionalism: I can not say enough about Scott's professionalism. I had a lot of apprehension about completely overhauling the condo that I purchased. Scott listened to my concerns and offered many ideas that were and quot;outside of the box.and quot; Scott is a complete professional and takes great pride in his work. The plumbing work Scott did was extraordinary and I would absolutely recommend Scott McDonald Plumbing and Heating to anyone in the future.
