+ -1 moreExtremely disappointing First ,the crew working on site should deserve 5 stars, they are amazing and extremely professional. We hired the firm for two years in a row. The first year was "ok" with some leak problems however and with some management problems. The second year was extremely disappointing. The management repeatedly reported the start date for over two months and we had more leaks. I would never recommend!

+ 0 moreKidd-Luukko installed a new roof on my house that is covered completely under warranty by GAF so I am protected! The soffits and fascia were addressed at the same time and completed everything nicely. They left my yard cleaner than it was when they came here! I would refer them to ANYONE.
Description of Work: New shingles, new caps, 2 layers of ice and water shield, System Plus warranty.

+ 0 moreI live in a two-story duplex in Worcester and last winter we had a lot of snow, causing a minor ice dam / leak in the master bedroom. ?I called the company, needing snow removal fast to prevent further damage and leaking. ?They responded quickly and stated they could come by the next day. ?I asked if the guys could wait until I was home in the afternoon to do the job, so I could supervise the job and point out where the ice dam was located. ?The operator told me that was impossible. ?The next day, I came home, the snow was removed off my roof, but they also removed snow from my neighbor's roof. ?I called the company, they told me they had 6 guys at my house for 1 hour and since each worker gets paid an hourly rate, the bill was $600. ?This seemed unreasonable to me, 6 guys to remove snow from my tiny duplex front-side roof-top, an area measuring 5 ft x 8 ft? ?Also paying for my neighbor's snow removal if unacceptable. ?I discussed this with the secretary / dispatch person, she got very angry, and was unresponsive to my complaints. ?She ended the phone call by stating she was sending me a bill and hung up. ?A couple days later, I got an letter from the company containing a single receipt -> they billed my credit card on file. ?Nothing else was in the letter, no bills, no thank-you, nothing, just the receipt.

+ -1 moreWe got a recommendation for this company for a major roofing job in the 25 to 30 k USD range. We scheduled 3 times a date for inspecting the roof and doing the quote, but each time, the person did not show up. No flexibility either, as I offered we would be available to meet outside of the normal office hours. They finally (why not from the start?) admitted they are very busy.

Description of Work: Kidd-Luukko Corp performed warranty work on our roof which was authorized by GAF. Kidd-Luukko is a GAF MAster Elite roofer which puts them in the top 3% of all roofers in the country for knowledge, workmenship, etc. The company was professional, punctual and and did an outstanding job. In that the repair was in the front of the house I was concerned that it would show. They did the job almost as an artist as you cannot see any of the roof shingles in the areas where they replaced the roof shingles. I would highly recommend them to the most discriminating person. They did an outstanding job!!

+ -1 moreThey are professional, accurate in their estimates, and communicated constantly about their progress. The work was delayed because of weather (alot of rain, and 102 degree temps for a short period), and they stayed constantly in touch. They not only fixed the roof, but repaired a small portion of the aforementioned porch. I'd absolutely use them again.
Description of Work: We co-own a two-family in Arlington, were considering a new roof. We had some repairs done to the front porch by another company, which basically ruined the small roof above the porch. The other company claimed the roof portion was outside their scope of work, so we decided to call Kidd-Luukko, which I've used before, to redo the main roof and fix the small roof over the porch.

+ -1 moreThey were very responsive. I was very pleased with the honest suggestion given by the person who came out because they thought that my roof could probably last for another five years. They gave me a bid and it was a little bit more money than I wanted to pay. I decided to get off the project based on the suggestion they gave me. I would probably call them again because I felt like they were very trustworthy.

+ -1 moreI used them only because I had no choice. I had a very bad ice dam. I have a new roof five years old. The warranty on it requires that I could only use certain people, and these were the only people in this area that I could use; so that's why I used them. I did not like that there was a very little communication. I notified about this in October, and I never met the owners, which really bothered me. Everything was done over the phone, and I don't like hiring people, unless I can meet them. They told me it could take couple of weeks because they had other people lined up. I never heard back from them. I called them, and they said they were backed up. I never heard from them until March, when finally I got rid of all snow. I called them and asked what is going on. They said they would be here in a couple of weeks. I didn't hear from them again. Then they called me saying they are coming out tomorrow. I don't know if the work, they have done will be good or not because I am out of the winter. They talk a good talk; but they don't seem to deliver. I didn't have anyone coming out to give the quote because I had to use them only. I can't really grade them on price. The responsiveness was poor. They came when they said they were going to come. The customer communication is a really important part of professionalism. They never followed up with me. I always seemed to be the one calling them.
Description of Work: Kidd-Luukko Corporation installed a roof around end of March or early April.

Description of Work: I had Kidd-Luukko replace my roofing in 2008. It was a 1,040 sq ft gable roof. Their estimate easily beat the competition. One local company saw their estimate and said he couldn't even meet the price. Another company affiliated with a large chain store (not a home improvement store) that is also a GAF-Elk certified contractor gave an estimate for twice the price. They completely removed my old roofing (one layer) and replaced it with 30 year Timberline Prestique architectural shingles. The installation included GAF-ELK Weather Watch leak barrier, Shingle-Mate protective underlayment, Cobra Coil Ridge Vent @ peaks, Timber Tex Ridge Cap Shingles, and 8" metal drip edging, with a 1 year material warranty and 2 year workmanship warranty. This also included the dumpster and full cleaning of the site. I had to look up these details on the paperwork, but felt they were important to understand the quality of the installation. My husband and I watched the roofing job being done. They did indeed install everything they said they would, which you don't always know will happen with some companies. They had about six guys and they worked like clockwork. They were very quick, but thorough. There are not a lot of companies that I would bother writing a review on for work done a few years back, before I even belonged to Angies List. However, I have a new home and happened to look them up on Angies List, since I may be needing them again and was curious if there were other reviews on them. I then received a request from Angies List for a review. Since I truly believe they did a great job, I thought I'd put in a good word.
