Description of Work: I had an emergency water line leak. The whole water line from the street to my house needed to be replaced.

+ -1 moreJohn Jolin gave us an honest and complete written estimate, and his company did an impressive job replacing our driveway. They removed an old chain-link fence and old basketball goal, finished the paving with a smooth surface that drained rain/water properly, and rebuilt the curbs on each side of the driveway front. The original curbs had been severely damaged by a previous snow-plow contractor. We had investigated several other paving companies, but decided to work with Jolin Paving. It was a good decision for us -- the job was worth every penny. It looks great!
Description of Work: Removed all old driveway tarmac; completely replaced/resurfaced entire driveway.

+ -1 moreA large section of driveway was buckling, and there was one sinkhole. Jolin ripped out the old asphalt, found the cause of the problems (numerous boulders), corrected it, and repaved. They did exactly what they said they would do. There was only one minor concern, which is that Jolin was going to seal the two edges where the old and new asphalt joined. Although the contract said they would do this, they told us that whoever did the final sealcoating should do it instead. (Jolin does not do sealcoating.) I am very pleased with the result and I feel that the work was done properly and the price was fair.
Description of Work: Jolin repaired a large section of driveway.

+ -1 moreJolin provided one of the most professional experiences in home improvement that we have had. From the first phone call to schedule an estimate, through the supervision of the job, and subsequent billing. This was such a positive experience, I truly cannot find anything involved with their work that would cause me to hesitate recommending them to anyone, or hiring them again. The price may be higher than others, but it was well worth the job we received in return. Also, be patient for the work start date, as we signed our contract in April and work commenced in September. There was no urgency in having this completed, and in fairness, this was conveyed to Jolin. However, once work commenced, we had Jolin's complete focus and the work was done quickly and with an attention to quality.
Description of Work: Jolin completely resurfaced our driveway. They acquired the necessary permit to widen the driveway opening and resurface the city sidewalk along with the driveway to provide a uniform surface. This entailed removing 13 linear feet of curbing and reusing two granite corner stones. Driveway was excavated to 1' depth and the old asphalt was removed to a recycler. They provided T-base gravel (compacted) to ready it for paving. This was followed by 1 3/4" course bituminous asphalt, and finished with 1 1/4" fine bituminous asphalt applied with a mechanical paver and compacted with a dual wheel vibratory roller. Not included in the original quote, Jolin also added an asphalt apron around a cellar window facing the driveway to provide water runoff. When the job was completed, they taped off the newly paved area and seeded a small soil plot by the corner stones. We were given complete instructions on how to care for the new driveway and have been enjoying the difference ever since.

They finished it in two days time and it was kind of a large driveway. They were nothing but professional. They went down far. They did whatever they were supposed to do. They did the stones like they should do. I did a little bit of research on them. They were reasonable I thought. I was very happy.
