We noticed some odd "bubbles" under the flooring in our finished basement yesterday. When my husband investigated, he found a very green rusted valve of some sort was leaking in our water closet. We live in a duplex, and these pipes bring in water for both units, so a leak is a bad bad thing for both families! He took off to Lowe's to figure out what the part was and what he needed to do to fix it. The man he spoke to said to shut off the water because it needed immediate attention from a licensed plumber ASAP. So off to Angie's List we went! Garabedian came up first with an A rating and a coupon. I called the office around 3:40pm and spoke to Lynn. I let her know what limited information we had. I took several photos of the pipes and emailed them over to her. She called me back around 3:55pm and let me know that her guys confirmed it was indeed the pressure regulator and that they could replace it. We talked about pricing, and since it was close to the end of the day, if we needed a call that night, it would be overtime rates. If we thought we could wait until the morning, it would be the regular hourly rate. I said the morning was fine. She gave me an estimate on the parts as well, and with that information my husband and I figured it would come to about $300. Lynn called me back at 8am this morning as promised and let me know her guy was leaving the warehouse, stopping for the parts, and he'd be to our home shortly. Erik arrived at 8:34am, introducing himself thoroughly and professionally. I showed him the pipes and let him know what was going on. He said it should be an easy replacement and got right to work. Erik kept me posted on the progress, and he finished around 10am. He said it would have taken less time if we could have gotten the closet door off, but it was stuck so he had to work around it. I appreciated the honesty. As I said, we figured it would run us about $300. Sure enough, the price was $335, and with our Angie's List member coupon, the final price was $315. Knowing how much a flooded basement would have cost us, this was an extremely worthwhile investment! I appreciated Lynn's help from the office and Erik's efficiency in my home. I've never been so happy to wash my hands! We have a few other plumbing projects coming up, and we will definitely call Garabedian again!

Wonderful service both prior to and during the service call. Very polite and knowledgeable staff. I was very impressed by the work performed and the explanations provided. I will be using them again. I am so glad to have found a plumbing company that I can rely on and trust in my home.

We had a new gas stove installed and I smelled a faint odor of gas. I called and they sent someone out the same day who immediately identified the problem and corrected the connection.

I called Garabedian Plumbing (new customer for them) on June 6th and was told the barbecue could be installed first thing on Tuesday the 10th and I made an appointment...two business days later. How great is that? Even greater the plumber arrived first thing on the 10th! He obviously knew what he was doing and in fact according to the Town gas inspector..."he did a Cadillac job!) He was meticulous about his work and about our property. Except for the new gas pipes you would never know that he was there. We were very pleased. We are thinking about installing a natural gas generator. If we do, we wouldn't hesitate to call Garabedian Plumbing. Note that I rated the price a "B"....it's hard for me to rate a price "A" when I have nothing to compare it to. I didn't call another plumber for a price and I never had a natural gas grill installed and don't know anyone who has recently so I think a "B" is fair even though the Gas Permit fee was included.

Steve from Garabedian fixed our hot water heater first thing on a Saturday morning...he was a lifesaver! The day after moving into a new house our hot water heater wouldn't light. The gas company digging in the street and installation of a gas fireplace insert meant that the gas had to be turned off 3 times and the hot water heater had to be re-lit 3 times. Well the third time it just wouldn't do it. The plumber who installed the fireplace insert didn't work on hot water heaters. We called the gas company to help, since 2 of the relights were their responsibility, but their tech tried pushing the igniter about 100 times and gave up. Angie's List to the rescue! Garabedian's got an 'A' rating and advertised 24 hour emergency service, so we called them Friday at 5:30 PM. They called back within 1/2 hour and after discussing our problem suggested that while they could send someone out right away, if we could wait til first thing Saturday morning it would probably be much less expensive for us since no parts stores would be open Friday night if parts were needed. We saw the wisdom in that, and Steve showed up promptly at 8:00 AM Saturday morning and fixed the ignition in less than an hour. He explained that all the on-and-off with the gas probably stirred up tiny particles in the gas line which clogged the tiny orifice used in the pilot light. He was cheerful, professional, and got extra points for relying on his grandfather's monkey wrench as one of his essential tools (I have my grandfather's carpentry tools as well and they are high quality and obviously built to last). Since we're new to the neighborhood, he also assured us that he had been driving around Worcester for 25 years as a plumber and this was a really nice neighborhood and he was confident we would be happy here...as soon as we had a hot shower, of course! We will definitely rely on Garabedian for future plumbing work.

Garabedian Plumbing was a life saver. I was selling the house and the plumbing failed inspection. I needed to get the job done ASAP and also have it approved by the town all in a short timeframe. I called Garabedian and they took care of everything well before my closing date. If not for them, my closing would have been delayed or I may have lost the sale altogether. Mike and Eric did the work and they were professional, courteous, prompt, clean and even dealt with a very difficult town inspector for me. I could not be happier. Also, Lynn at the office was amazing. She organized the whole thing and I can honestly say she truly cared about my dilemma. Stellar customer service. I have heard great things about Garabedian Plumbing in the past from other contractors, inspectors and real estate agents - now I can say I have seen it first hand. Thank you!

Replaced broken pipe in a timely manner.

We had a quite a few small hitches with Garabedian Plumbing which added up to an overall annoying experience. We booked them to come and install the sink about 3 weeks before our remodel was finished. Because of other emergency calls and snow, they ended up coming a few days later than planned, which is somewhat understandable, though we were living without a kitchen sink with two small kids and every day made quite a difference. Then when the plumber did come out on Friday (vs. Monday as planned) he didn't have the items he needed to finish installing our sink, even though someone else from Garabedian had come out to look at the job previously. He did start, and told me to pick up a new hose from the hardware store so they could finish. Someone else came back early the following week and finished the work, but they told me I didn't need the hose I had just bought that weekend, so I returned it. Shortly afterward, we realized that our sink/garbage disposal was leaking, and we called them back. The original plumber told us that the other plumber who had finished the work was wrong, and we did need the hose that I had returned. He had to go buy another one, come back, and finish. They said they wouldn't charge us for coming back to fix it (of course!) but it was a pain to have to coordinate it and be home for yet another day. Overall there was nothing terrible by any means, and they certainly seemed honest, but the whole experience could have been a lot better.

My wife was home with our newborn when our hot water heater went down on one of the coldest afternoons of the year. I called Garabedian and they had a tech out here within 45 minutes. Once we established that the old device was not worth saving, a new unit was ordered. The tech was back at 8 am the following day with the new unit, which he installed within 3.5 hours. It came with a 10 year warranty and was a few hundred less than I thought I was going to spend. Our tech was very professional and knowledgeable, and cleaned up nicely after the job. I'm new to the area and a first time homeowner. Think I found a good plumber.

The office staff was very competent in understanding the problem, and the work was done when they said it would be. They had to order a part and come back, but they arranged for the tenant to have temporary hot water in the interim. Came back with the part when they said they would. I'm happy.

Everything I have had with them has been amazing. One of their workers is called Scott, and I told him that he could come out and do some work for me, but he said he could not come out on his company's advertising. They have been out a couple of times. They charge by the hour. The people who come out, and the office are very professional. They do the job right, and do it right the first time. They are easy to get a hold of, and easy to call back, they are very neat when they are here, and they clean up after themselves. Which is very important to some people. Their prices were about average in keeping with what was out there, and I didn't have to wait long. I was surprised at how quick they come. I have them on my speed dial, and so I will use them again.

It went smoothly. Everything was easy - from setting up the appointment to having the work completed to calling in the payment. No hiccups, no catches. I'd use them again and would recommend them.

It went great. We had a clogged line inside the house that led to the septic tank. Due to this clog we have an overflow inside the house, which for obvious reasons was not fun. We called Garabedian Plumbing and the two guys arrived very shortly after to examine the problem. Both guys located the source of the clog, and then determined the best way to clean out the system. They went over and above and ensured the area they used the line on was not in an area that would cause a lot of mess to the house. They placed cardboard and went to extreme lengths to ensure none of the mess ended up on our personal belongings. They guys even offered suggestions for how to prevent the clog in the future and gave ideas of steps we could take to ensure if the did happen again, it would be easier to clean. I would use them again and recommend them to friends/family.

We knew the sink had issues, but never noticed the duct tape holding the drain pipes together as they went through the floor. Well the tape finally gave way last night and made a mess. A call first thing in the morning had someone here by noon who work the issue. They could not have been better. We have used them in the past and appreciate the call in the morning to let us know where we are on the schedule. Technician has been great! They are a little pricier, but I think it's worth every penny to have someone show up when they say they're going to and do the job right the first time.

Our heater went out over the weekend. I called Garabedian because they were local and I didn't want to pay for travel, but the guy they called to come was not local, so I had to pay travel anyway. He came quickly and was nice to deal with, but he wasn't able to perform the repair that we needed, so he had to call someone else, and we had to wait for the other guy to show up. I don't know if we paid for that waiting time or not, but if you're going to send someone out on a call, you should make sure they know their business. The second guy came and between the two of them they managed to get the heater running again. But, we needed another part, so someone had to come back a few days later to finish up. The weekend labor was $172 an hour, which I think is highway robbery, but we all just seem to put up with these prices, since everyone is charging them. I don't know if I will call them again. I have yet to find a service provider in Worcester that I am really happy with and they were pretty responsive, but I will probably try someone else first.

He arrive on time fixed the heat quickly and then had cut wood out of the way. He then had a tough job and removed the problem part using wrench used under sinks. He put the part in and put the trim back. NOTE: I had used the company twice in the past and all three jobs were done well.

They are fantastic. The plumber that came out was extremely professional and neat. He explained everything to me in very clear and concise language. They followed up a few days later to make sure we were happy.

When disposer failed, we bought a new one and considered trying to replace the old one ourselves, but upon finding that the shutoff valve leaked, decided to call plumber. Plumber came SAME day to fix leaky valve and replace disposer. Very prompt, courteous, did a nice job. We asked him to look at our pop-ups and in the bathroom and consider replacing them(we already had the parts). His time estimate seemed reasonable so we went ahead with it. Plumber finished and departed. Later that Friday night, when we tried to use bathroom sink, we found that it was both plugged and leaking, so we called the plumber back, but had to wait until Monday before they could send the same plumber back to correct the problem. Plumber arrived Monday and fixed the plug and the leak. Everything is working fine.

This guy is a little expensive, but good. I have used him for a long time. They are always up to a challenge and over the years I have had some pretty challenging jobs for them or problems for them to resolve. They work hard, they are friendly to talk to, and easy to explain stuff to. They listen to my needs and I think they're really good.
