Response from Ford's Hometown Services
Dear Valued customer, We noticed your recent review that you placed on Angie’s List and needless to say we are very disappointed and confused by your rating. By reviewing the the detailed notes below documenting our interactions, I’m certain that if you were in our position that you would feel the same. We copied and pasted the notes in your account for your reference: (On 8/31/2015 FHS Vice President sent the following email to customer) Good morning , how are you? I received your message about the grubs from my staff. Your grub proofing was done not long ago on 7/8/15 and should be at full strength. It was applied at the highest setting and at the proper time. The chemical is 99% effective and has a 5-8 month residual in the plant. Please note that the chemical "Imidoclorprid" has been commonly used now for over 15 years. There has been evidence of insect resistance mainly to European chaffers. This has been getting worse over the last few years. It is not a matter of who is applying it. This is common in the industry. If there is a failure, it is our position to step up as a good company and take care of our customers. If there is an issue, we can apply a contact insecticide to rectify the situation at no additional charge. Note: a few grubs are not a problem and total eradication is not expected. There is a threshold of 6 grubs per sq. ft. Also, from the heat and heavy rain two weeks ago, we are seeing Dollar Spot disease everywhere. Although, this is the start of grub season, this may be the issue. Attached is some information. Respect and trust is important for a relationship. Lawn issues are common. It is not a closed book. If there is a situation, please just call us and we will be more than helpful. I think it would be much easier for me to come by and evaluate the situation rather than waiting, but if Friday is what you want, then I can accommodate you. I would be interested in seeing for myself. Please advise. 8/31/15 - From: Customer Sent: Monday, August 31, 2015 2:25 PM To: FHS Vice President; Subject: RE: Lawn care I'll be in Dallas until Thursday. Can we meet Friday at 8am? 8/31/15 Reply from FHS Vice President - To: Customer I may be able to meet you after I drop my children off for school at 8: 00 am. How about between 8:30 -9:00 am if this works for you Customer Never responded to the last email sent by FHS Vice President on 8/31/2015 9/4/15 FHS Vice President – (last Note under Computer account) I called customer today around 9-10am; on the morning of our tentative appointment as a courtesy because he never responded to my last email about time confirmation. When I spoke to the customer he told me that he already cancelled and that he was still upset. Dear Valued customer, as you can see from our records above; That we promptly addressed your grub concern, and provided you with an expert explanation along with additional literature as to why your lawn was displaying brown spots. We were more than happy to return to your property and personally evaluate your lawn when it was most convenient for you. (You had requested Friday morning on 9/4/2015) As you can see, we do try to do everything that we can for our customers and we even offered you a free grub application. We were willing to do whatever it took to make you happy. Unfortunately on the morning of Friday 9/4/15, you abruptly canceled our proposed appointment along with our services. This again was after I agreed to visit your home at your convenience and I was more than willing to provide you with a complimentary lawn evaluation. You clearly did not give us the opportunity to rectify (or even evaluate) what was happening with your lawn, which is why we strongly feel your ratings for our company are truly unjust! We would still be more than happy to help and assist you with this issue or any other lawn issue that you may have. We strongly feel that if we were given the opportunity to help you that we would have received a complimentary review. Please feel free to contact us at any time. Sincerely, FHS VP
