Ford's Hometown Services

Description of Work: We have had various types of treatment including violets, aeration and organic, as well as standard lawn maintence. We have benefited from their professional maintenance for about 8 years. The friendly, well-trained staff are very good with explaining and answering questions we have. We intend to continue their services.

Description of Work: Ford Hometown Services has been providing weed control, grub control fertilizer and lime for my lawn for several years. I had a grub problem when I started using their service. They have restored my lawn. I intend on having them provide the same service again this year.

Description of Work: Exterior pest control (ants, etc.). They were on time and the treatment was effective.

Description of Work: I've used Ford's for 13 years and have been very happy with the pest service. I have called them for a few emergencies (Bee and Wasp nests, |patio ants). A technician has responded same day, fixed the problem and it's always covered in my annual agreement.

Description of Work: Semi-annual inspection and prevention. They have been protecting our house for several years. They are reliable and can be counted on to show up on a reguarly scheduled basis. We have had no infestations.

Description of Work: We contract with Ford's every year for pest preventative services. We have been very satisfied with their service. Any problems with technicians in the past were addressed and have not recurred.

Description of Work: I have indoor and outdoor pest service with Ford's Hometown Services. we have had pest service for our property with this same firm since 1999. They have and continue to be very helpful and prompt and profession in the service they provide.

Description of Work: Tick border spray, one step of a four part preventative program. Service has always been very professional and they come when they say they will. Final price is always as quoted. Have used them to remove hornet nest as well and was extremely satisfied with the knowledge of the technician and the final outcome. Wouldn't call anyone else.

Description of Work: Treated fascia and eave boards to kill carpenter bees. So far, the treatment seems to have worked. They stuck to their initial quoted price even though I think the number of holes turned out to be greater than expected when the serviceman actually got up onto the roof. I also got some good (albeit depressing) advice about what I need to do to keep the bees from returning. | |I have to ding them a little on punctuality/professionalism, because they initially sent an employee who was afraid of heights, and thus unable to climb to the large dormer where the problem was. Given that setback, I had to wait an extra 4 or 5 days for the treatment, which isn't the end of the world, but when you have carpenter bees chewing big holes in your house, you want them DEAD, and immediately isn't soon enough. | |The employee who actually did the job was quite thorough, though, and persevered despite the roof's having become slippery after an overnight rain. (Ironically, it was bone-dry during the first visit.) I would use the company again if (as seems sadly likely) the bees return next year, although I will be very, very clear that it's not a job one can do from the ground with long poles.
