We love our new bath and enjoy it everyday! Evans Remodeling team is excellent in both their craftsmanship, attention to detail, project management, handling unexpected curve balls and keeping our project on a reasonable timeline, to complete our project as scheduled. The Evans Remodeling team was a pleasure to have in our home daily, with a courteous crew of workers who clearly have pride in their work and truly care about providing their clients with a quality project. I would highly recommend the Evans Remodeling team for any kitchen or bath project!

After obtaining quotes from several contractors, we decided to proceed with Evans remodeling for a significant remodel of our master bathroom. Although not necessarily providing the lowest price quote (we obtained a quote only for labor and minimal materials, the majority of items such as tub, vanity, countertop, light fixtures, toilet, tile, and mirrors we sourced on our own), after meeting with Karl, I felt he was knowledgeable, took time to listen to what we were looking for, and would do a good quality job. That was indeed the case. The remodel was a significant endeavor as it required a complete gutting, movement of plumbing and electrical, and building a couple of custom tiled walls. Karl was excellent at overseeing the project and being proactive when challenges came up, as they almost certainly do during a large project such as this, to ensure proper resolution. All of the subcontractors working with Karl were knowledgeable, respectful, and professional. The only less than ideal aspect we encountered was a longer than expected timeline. Initially planned to be done at end of October, but finished the day before Thanksgiving, which was our absolute must meet deadline as we had family coming in town to stay. However, Karl always kept us informed throughout each step of the project and was very easy to get in touch with, providing prompt responses. Overall, we are very pleased with the way this project turned out and we have already received lots of compliments from family and friends. We will definitely consider working with Evans remodeling on future home renovation projects!

It went very well. The project took a bit longer because of a few scheduling and unforeseen complications, but overall, Karl was responsive, honest and upfront with his status. He was flexible in working with us to do only partial work on the basement (framing, doors and electrical) so we could save some money and finish it ourselves. It worked very well without any issues. He was also very responsible and honest with regard to work performed compared to estimate, periodically adjusting to keep us on the same page. This is very helpful when the project runs a bit longer than anticipated. Karl is a pleasure to work with and his carpenters are equally willing to share updates and answer any questions or even consider new solutions to challenges and changes along the way. This is a refreshing change from so many prima donna tradesman out there. Highly recommend.

Karl was a pleasure to work with - he is a skilled and courteous professional. We love our new kitchen thanks to Karl and his team of subcontractors. I highly recommend Karl and will use his services again for all our home improvement needs.

Karl was responsive throughout the process right from the time of first contact till completion. Karl provided us an estimate up front upon studying the plan and deciding upon the scope of work. Throughout the remodeling Karl had experts coming in to take care of various aspects of the project. The work was done very satisfactorily and the outcome has been spectacular. At every point Karl took extra initiative to make sure that the work was done right and was always proactive in helping us through some complex decisions. The folks that he employs are also commendable and though we ran into delays with the project, some of it was out of his hands. Overall, Karl took full responsibility for the project, quoted (and stuck to) a fair price, delivered quality workmanship and was a pleasure to interact with. He is calm and sensible and we would hire him again should the need arise.

Very fair price and did exactly as he said he would. Trusted him with key to house. Went above and beyond dealing with cabinet supplier I used but never hit me for any extra money. Did NOT require very much up front money which meant I never felt like I was out money if something happened. Thanks Karl-Great Guy!

We were anxious to sell our condo and get it on the market as soon as possible. Our original contractor backed out of the job. We needed someone in a hurry. I found Karl on Angie's list. He is from Worcester, Massachusetts. He returned my call promptly and came out the following Saturday to do an estimate. They started work the following week. A good deal of the work was performed by a very nice young man named Mark. We cannot say enough about the quality of the work, the professionalism, and the courtesy of Karl and Mark. They did an outstanding job with very short notice. They ran into several issues along the way, which they handled very well. Mark is very meticulous with his work and he does everything the right way. I thought the bill would be higher than the estimate, because they were here for at least three days. To my surprise the bill was exactly as they quoted it. Evans Remodeling "saved our bacon" by being available with such short notice. We did not have time to get bids from several contractors. Evans Remodeling had good reviews online and that's all we knew. When Karl said he could start work very soon we hired him. Often in a situation like that you can get overcharged. We just hit the jackpot with Karl and Mark. I gave Evans Remodeling all A's because there is not a higher grade available. I would make it A+++ for every category if I could.

From beginning to end of my renovation of my kitchen and living room the entire experience was flawless. I am a picky person and have high expectations of what I am looking for. Karl Evans Remodeling exceeded ALL of my expectations and then some! When my friends saw the finished product they were blown away! Of course then they wall wanted this phone number to get work done! His work was on time, on budget and I knew where we stood with work daily. He showed up when he said he would and my house was immaculate every day he left. He sources expert to get the job done and takes full accountability for the quality of the work. Karl and his crew are pleasant, professional, and top notch! I cannot say enough good things about him and how he runs his business. I have already sourced him to renovate my master bathroom and main bath. If you hire Evans Remodeling you will be smart. If you don't hire him, then what you wind up with is on you!

1. Among the 5 contractors bidding for the project, Karl was 1 of the 2 finalists who gave detailed cost estimates and offered the most reasonable final costs. 2. Karl was responsible for planning and getting permits for the project. He and his associate, Glenn, worked on framing, flooring, egress window and well installation, and finished carpentry. Karl is a perfectionist with excellent workmanship. His attention to details was quite impressive which can be exemplified by his quality installation of railings and balusters along both sides of stairs and also by his insistence of doubling every window and door king stud. The professional subcontractors he used for framing (part of), electrical, plumbing and blueboard/plastering were all very competent and have done admirable jobs for our project. 3. Karl was very responsive and quite flexible to changes throughout the project. During the course of the design phase and construction periods, he was very receptive to homeowner's ideas and work changes, totaling at least 15 changes and extras. Among them were reframing of workshop/TV room door and installation of transom windows on upper part of the wall. 4. Overall we have been very satisfied with Karl's work in our basement finishing project. He transformed our messy unfinished basement into a pleasant, welcoming and enjoyable living quarter -- an impressive man cave. As such, we subsequently awarded him to do exterior repairs of our house without interviewing other contractors because we were quite confident that he would do quality work at a reasonable price. 5. Since Karl is quite busy and has always had a few projects on his schedule, it is our experience that we had to wait in line for at least a couple of months to get him started with our project.

I was having difficulty getting other contractors to respond or provide an estimate. After leaving a phone message, Karl responded and came to my house the same day to do an estimate, which he provided within a day. Scheduling was difficult, but Karl was proactive in keeping me updated with his efforts. At no time did I feel he was ignoring my project. The ceiling work was completed in early October, at which time Karl told me his regular roofer was unavailable and he was looking for another to do the balcony work. Again, he would contact me periodically with status updates. Near Thanksgiving, I was a little concerned when a light snow was forecast, but Karl was able to schedule me with a roofer and completed the repairs and cleanup before the snow arrived. Overall, I was very happy with both Karl's communication and with the final result of the work.

So I can't say anything about quality of job they do, but I'm very disappointed how they treat customer to be. I found this very unprofessional and disrespectful to me.

The job went smoothly, considering we ran into some design issues that had to be resolved on the fly. Also, this is an old house and nothing is square or plumb and Karl worked though those issues with ease. We're really happy with the results.

Overall, very happy with the entire experience. Karl was very easy to work with. Very flexible. We decided on a small change half-way thru the project that required a permit modification and a delay for Karl in his work schedule however he was happy to build us a deck that was exactly what we were looking for, even if a late change in the design set him back for other jobs. We are planning a full kitchen remodel in the winter and Karl is the first person we plan to call.

Karl is a talented contractor who takes pride and care in his work. My wife and I literally interviewed about 12 contractors for a dormer/bath addition on the second level of a cape. Karl is a trustworthy contractor who I would certainly do business with again. From day 1 Karl was on time and very communicative about what was happening next. Upfront, the contract had a clear timeline and gave us a picture of how the next 4 weeks were going to look. Highly recommended!

Karl was very professional when we met the first time to go over what we were looking to do. He submitted a very detailed quote in a timely manner and followed up with us to ensure we understood everything in the quote. Once we agreed to terms, Karl started the job and devoted his full attention to our job. He was at our home every work day (sometimes even Saturdays and Sundays) until the job was complete. In times past our contractor would disappear for days (obviously to start another job) delaying the entire process. Not Karl... The upstairs Bath was a complete remodel down to the studs. Karl worked great with the plumbers, electricians and the tile guy to get things done in a timely manner. Karl was very open to new ideas and completed all of our requests with a smile even when we expressed frustration with the project! Of course we wanted it finished yesterday! We were thrilled with the result! The walkout basement needed a new full bath, concrete work, stair work with new railing, and an overall facelift. Karl created a new wall space over the fireplace allowing for a wall mounted TV and a lovely built in shelving system on the newly created wall for the bathroom. New paint on the ceiling, walls and concrete floor finished the space beautifully. Again, we could not be happier! I told Karl that if potential new clients wanted to view a job we would be happy to show off our new spaces. Well done, Karl!

I was really happy and surprised that it turned out to be not only useful but a positive design element.

Karl is my favorite contractor. (I'm an architect but was also a carpenter's helper at one time, so I can really appreciate his technical quality, too.) He wears headphones, so there's no loud radio to annoy the homeowner, by the way -- just one of his endearing qualities. He has done several jobs for me and for the homeowners to whom I recommended him. The jobs ranged from small to large, and he always executes them perfectly, with attention to detail I have never witnessed in anybody else. For example, he renovated a bathroom for me -- a complete operation which included new bathtub with a Corian surround, new wainscoting, wallpaper, lighting, new cantilevered vanity (which he built from scratch), new toilet (which a plumber installed, of course), new sheetrock on the ceiling, new tile floor -- the works. Just because a bath is a small room, it contains a myriad of details to think about, you should see what he created for the baseboard, the chair rail which was coped at the corners, etc. A wealth of refinements for surprisingly little "wealth" in the price. He's always cheerful and does perfect clean-up every day.

He is excellent! He's a very personable guy and very responsive to phone calls; he is very knowledgeable and just a general pleasure to work with.

Karl came to me highly recommended by close friends and I immediately understood why. From the beginning I completely trusted Karl. I turned the place over to him and he called or emailed to keep me updated. I did not feel like I had to chase after him to give me information or to complete the work (although there were delays due to various reasons which are likely in jobs of these sorts). I could not be happier with the results of both the kitchen and bathroom. I am delighted with the quality of the work and the materials used. The kitchen turned out exactly as I had expected and the bathroom was even better than I hoped. (Karl also put me in touch with a person who did my flooring and that contractor was excellent as well). I also want to emphasize how nice Karl is. Firstly, even though this was a relatively small job Karl always treated my remodeling project as very important. He was very careful and responsible. He went with me to look at materials because he knew I needed help. He worked hard to save me money - he did not cut costs on materials but saved me money by doing things himself rather than buying ready made items. He was calm and collected and patiently explained the job and the process. Also, when I had a problem because of leak from my upstairs neighbor he came over to help even though this was not his responsibility in any way. Again, when my shower was giving me trouble, he contacted the manufacturer and when they sent a replacement part he came and fixed that. I would recommend Karl to everybody. And, would hire him for any remodeling work in the future.

Karl is true professional - responsive, responsible and a master carpenter. He takes his time to do a good job. Our job was hard in that our house is older and nothing is straight. He was very diligent to make it all work and look great. He has good ideas and is a pleasure to work with. Would hire him again in a heartbeat!
