Description of Work: We were residing our 75 year old house and had very bad ant damage in some wood that had obviously had some water issues. We had ants in the area and noticed them in the house from time to time but nothing terrible - -until lately when I found ants in the living room. I did not think they were coming in from outside -- but they were. Colonial Pest control came out and inspected the area but suggested we did not apply pesticide that day as it was wet and rainy. We had to wait 2 weeks for them to return, and it did hold up our job (I gave them a B on timeliness, but the first rain wasn't their fault really, but nothing special was done to get back to us quickly and we already waited 2 weeks for the first appointment. Perhaps this is because they are popular, but I couldn't give them an A.) They were careful about moving us out of areas where they were treating and offered a guarantee. As we couldn't vacate the house, (we work at home and hadn't planned on it), we elected not to treat inside. The living room ants are not totally gone, so we will call them back under the guarantee. I was very pleased with their attention to safetey, consideration of our needs once they were going to treat and the overall professionalism of the exterminators. I would definitely recommend -- just plan for 10 days before they come and to vacate the house if necessary.

Description of Work: I needed prevention from sparrow nesting in my gutters. Work had to be rescheduled on the original date due to weather and I was promptly notified with a follow-up date for the next week. The prevention steps were completed on the scheduled day. Within a week the sparrows were inventive and found another nesting opportunity in a corner molding in my house siding. David from Colonial (who performed the gutter work) was working in the area and and had an opening in his schedule so Colonial sent him over the same day I reported the follow-up issue. Sparrows have moved on, no more issues. David and the Colonial Pest team were great to work with on this project.

Description of Work: Colonial Pest brought in 4 traps to catch a squirrel in my house who really liked my kitchen counter. After the traps were set, he was caught the next day. So far I appear to be squirrel free. The pest guy went above and beyond by walking the perimeter of my house to check for squirrel entry points. This involved walking through over a foot of snow. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Killed wasps in wall. Checked for other nests. I signed up for 1 year protection since this is the second year I had wasps.

Description of Work: Provided exclusion and baiting services for mice. They were very thorough and communicated very well during the process. Problems seem to be resolved for the present anyway.

Description of Work: We have had a mouse problem for several years. Until this year, it's been somewhat easy to manage. After replacing basement insulation for the 3rd time I decided to call in a professional. They came within 5 days and placed about 15 poison blocks around the basement and walked around the house filling any noticible holes with copper mesh. I haven't had a problem since. They weren't able to spray for other pests however due to the cold weather. The tech said to call any time we had a problem and they would come out again. They are scheduled to come back in the spring to spray. We'll see how that goes when we get there. Until now, the service was performed up to expectation. Very professional.

Description of Work: Dave was great! He was professional, prompt and thorough. He explained what he was doing and why (specifically with regard to setting traps for mice, which wad my primary concern.) He let me know what the follow up schedule would be and that we could call anytime if we needed them to come back out.

Description of Work: I was very impressed with Colonial Pest Control. They were very professional, friendly and helpful. I had a mouse problem, they completed the work with a one year guarantee. They also noticed I had a hornets nest under my 4 season porch which they sprayed while they were here zt no extra charge. I would definitely use them again and have recommended them to several friends.

Description of Work: Technician arrived on time, basically loaded mice traps and palced accordingly...Seemed a little disorganized and not well informed...he did not walk perimeter to determine point of entry for mice...

Description of Work: During the past two years, we have used Colonial Pest for insect/pest control, termite Sentricon system installation, and bat control. The technicians/specialists have always been prompt and professional. The office staff is also responsive in scheduling appointments.

Description of Work: sealed attic from bats and flying squirrels

Description of Work: They have helped with bees and wasps and will come back as often as you need them. This service also covers mice and ants inside and out. Reassuring to know they will guarantee for a year. We also had them get squirrels out of the attic which they successfully did. They were very respectful and came back as much as needed.

Description of Work: General pest control. Not convinced they properly addressed one of the issues that concerned us. Left trash behind, just not too impressed.
