My driveway was well overdue for replacement When I bought my house nine years ago, but like many people I’m sure, it never rose to the top of my budget to do list. Finally, this year decided I had to bite the bullet. I got quotes from a number of companies, but BK & Sons offered the best price for the job with the changes I wanted (wider apron, reshaped parking area, etc) and the features I felt we’re important (10” of sub base, 2x 2” layers of asphalt vs 1 single 4” layer). My new driveway is so much better than I could have imagined. It’s laser straight where it once dipped and sagged, but they even improved the overall grade of my hill by raising up sections and lowering others to have a more consistent slope rather than a low spot and steep section. They truly went above and beyond but just to replace, but to improve my driveway. Great job!

They did a great job. Removed a very thick driveway from 1970. Built it back up to the same level and angled it so water runs away from the foundation. Looks great!

I called Brian for a quote and he came over within an hour. You will find him extremely knowledgeable of the process as he takes the time to explain exactly what will be done and he is very easy to talk to with a good sense of humor.. He kept in communication with us and set up a time to do the job. His crew came 30 minutes before the time quoted and did a lot of prep work. The job went extremely smooth and you can tell how meticulous these guys all are. The driveway looks great and feel that we were really taken care of. Brian showed up on time and was able to give us a quote at the first meeting. He followed up quickly with a detailed written quote. Work was started within the time frame we were quoted and proceeded as planned. Brian was available to answer our questions and the job was completed to our satisfaction. We highly recommend this company.

Our driveway was a mess, as it slopes significantly towards the house and the existing driveway was insufficient in terms of drainage. Over time there were enormous cracks and depressions where water would pool that would just get worse each year. We looked into several contractors, from paving specialists to those that work with semi-permeable pavers. The estimates ranged from $15K for paving to $35K for pavers. We met with Brian the day after we first contacted him, and he seemed to understand what we needed on the spot and was able to give us a quote of $7K as well as describe in detail what would be done. Along with regrading the driveway and installing enough stone (rip-rap) to stabilize the ground in front of the garage (where we saw the worst damage), he recommended a barrel block drain kit with a dry well to handle the water runoff. As we looked over the existing driveway, he noticed that there was only 1 inch of asphalt laid over the base, and he recommended at least 3 inches. He was able to schedule us within 2 weeks, and excavated the existing driveway and installed the new on in a day and a half. As we have an invisible fence that runs under the driveway, he was able to incorporate that into the new one. His team was professional and friendly, and the new driveway looks great. We're really happy with the work Brian and his team did. We were actually away when the work was done, but my parents were here and they were both really impressed with his team (and they're not easily impressed with contractors). We're glad we went with BK and Sons Paving and would easily recommend them for any paving work.

Excellent all around. High-quality work at very competitive price. Our long loop driveway, parts of which originally dated back to the 1940s, had several layers of cracked and slumping asphalt and a lot of boulders in the packing beneath. It was a big, expensive job to pull it all out, regrade, and repave. I went with BK over the other three estimates I received partly on price, but also because Brian impressed me when he came out to size up the job, and spent more than half an hour explaining the options and answering my questions. He responded quickly to calls and texts and was able to start work within a week. Entire crew was friendly, hard-working, and had no problem with me hanging around and asking questions. I'd hire them again without hestitation.

Had some boulders under the area where the driveway was being extended so excavation equipment needed to be called in upping the cost from estimate a bit, however the job was still completed on time as promised. They were extremely fast from initial contact all the way to completion (this was literally a 4 day process) and were super responsive. I would hire again in a heartbeat.
