We contracted Bruno twice and had very different experiences in each case. The first time, for a $10K exterior stair replacement and small decking job, Bruno was very responsive and completed the work well in a reasonable timeframe. He is always cordial when we speak, in person and over the phone. Unfortunately, the second job was never even started. We paid Bruno $4k as a down payment for installing a new door and frame on my mother's home, which was supposed to take 2 days and we all agreed it was urgent for the safety of my mother's home. Twice the job was scheduled and then Bruno and his team never showed up; countless other times he has told me verbally and by text message that he would "get back to me in a day or two to schedule this" and he never followed up. This stretched on for over 3 months. We asked for the money back repeatedly and he said he would refund if he couldn't get the job done, but over the next weeks nothing happened on the job. Finally Bruno did respond quickly when we posted online reviews outlining the situation, and started steps for legal action. He immediately refunded us in full the outstanding $4k, apologized, and offered to do extra work as compensation. As I said, he is always cordial and says he cares about his business and customers. For us, the risk of losing a large amount of money and having a safety issue unattended is too great. Overall we were disappointed, but glad that the issue finally got resolved, and we did see that Bruno does good work when he does it.

Had a little problem in the beginning with scheduling but once they got here and they did the job and they did an excellent job. The people were very very friendly to deal with and Iâ  m very happy with it, and I am rehiring him.

Bruno's business (X-Tend Contracting) is a scam. After over a year of lies and delays, I was forced to sue Bruno, and won a judgment for $7,500 (maximum small claims award plus interest), even though he owes me more. He is still lying and delaying to avoid payment, so I will have to move onto the next legal step of enforcement to impound his business. On March 24, 2022, I signed a contract to redo our deck (remove existing boards but leave the structure intact and replace the boards). I paid a deposit of $6,750 (half the total cost), because Bruno explicitly stated that he needed the money to order the material "that day, right after leaving" my house. This was the first of his lies: there is no evidence that he ever purchased supplies. When Bruno's workers removed the old decking on May 5, 2022, Bruno called and made two more false representations: 1) the decking had arrived but he could not install it yet because the existing structure needed reinforcement; 2) he needed an additional $5,000 for reinforcing material, which I paid. Again, he never purchased ANY supplies. Since that time, NO work was done, while he continued to make fraudulent representations; on numerous occasions, he said very explicitly that both the decking and the reinforcing material had arrived but he could not schedule the installation because of a tight schedule (lies, lies, lies). This continued for months and months, and because he could not supply receipts proving that he had ordered the material, I contacted an attorney and sent a Demand Letter on October 17, 2022. The response was more delaying tactics and lies that continued into Spring of 2023. On August 7, 2023, the District Court of Woburn issued a judgment in my favor for $7,500. Bruno just continues to lie and delay instead of paying up.

Bruno and his team are skilled professionals. They did a gut replacement of my front porch in a timely manner with good communication. I am very happy with the product.

Working with XTend was a good experience. Bruno is very responsible and easy to communicate with. Although it was a small job (replacing the old lattice fence below my deck), Bruno and the crew came to the house the day before to make sure the job will be done to my specific requests. They end up doing a great, solid job with very reasonable price. I definitely recommend XTend.

We contacted Bruno in 08/2020 to remodel our home which included removing a load bearing wall, upgrading a kitchen/main bath, adding a stand up shower in the master bathroom, and rebuilding a new deck. The biggest issue we had was the time it took to do everything. It took much longer than expected. However, once everything was done, it was done to our liking. His carpenters Paulo and Glenis are very talented and hard working. We are really happy how everything came out.

I contacted Bruno Bastos to renovate my bathrooms and build a deck for my home. Bruno and the workers were extremely polite, punctual, professional, neat, and did an excellent job in completing the job on schedule so that I could use the deck in time for summer. Bruno was very easy to reach, and he did a great job in accommodating all my requests, which I really appreciate because it was a job which other companies turned down. I will definitely be reaching out to Xtend for the renovations I plan next year and would highly recommend them to others in the Boston area.

My project was very complicated since I have a hill where I want to put a deck and stairs coming off it leading from my patio. The gentlemen that worked on my deck were Paulo and Glenis. They were great and really know what theyâ re doing- the carpentry is phenomenal! I LOVE my new deck!

I wrote an earlier review that was negative, but since then they have been trying hard to make amends. I believe my problems with them were a result of communication issues.
