Initial sales process went well. Estimate included itemized pricing of each window. Financing explained (and written) in clear simple language. Installation was when things started going downhill. Our most expensive large bay window was installed with a broken lock. It would was the installer who actually brought it to our attention. We were told customer service would follow up with us. A bathroom screen had a hole in it. Again installer was aware of problem. Overall installation was sloppy. I received an email from a Window World rep requesting a review. We told the rep about our unresolved issues with installation and told her a review would be forthcoming after we heard from customer service. This person apologized and again told us a customer service rep would call us That was on Feb 11 2022. No word yet from customer service. Not happy and cannot recommend.

AAA Rated Company!! They showed up on time and schedule, were extremely qualified and did excellent work. The install went perfectly, the 2 men that showed up were "craftsman". They vacuumed up the inside, picked up every little piece of scrap left over, carted away my old windows and overall displayed a high level of professionalism.. Would definitely hire them again. It took 2 1/2 days, if that. I was worried that there would be paint chipping and we would need a lot of repair, but they were truly professional. I noticed right away that the temperature of the home and the noise improved.

Totally satisfied with the work done on the home at a price less than many of the other installers we received estimates from. The finished product looks great, but the job took two weeks longer than quoted. The contractor and crew were polite, and arrived on time every day. The end result was worth the wait, but we hadn't planned for such a long project. Pro's: Affordable, no hidden fees, payment terms, nice finished product Cons: The exterior clean up was poor. There were lots of nails and small debris left around the yard after the job was done. The employees at Window World were not responsive, unless it was something they needed. Overall: I would hire Window World again but with different expectations.

Appt was scheduled about a month in advance - no call from them confirming the appt or the time they would be arriving. I ended to call them and leave several messages before they called back the day before the appt with the time of the service - this was important for scheduling my workday. The gentlemen providing the service were nice and professional. The moved curtains and furniture to wash the windows but didn't put them back before they left. The problem came when we added the windowsill and screen package - they could not process a CC on site or add it to the original payment. We spoke to the manager over the phone and he was the unprofessional one - he was argumentative and implied that we were not making a payment due to race. We will not be using them again.

I bought a condo in Newburyport where Window World Boston (out of Woburn, MA) had installed the windows. Since I wasn't aware and, apparently neither were the previous owners, that the warranty needed to be transferred to me within 30 days of closing, the windows are no longer covered under their ?lifetime? warranty. So, ok but I have a broken pane of glass and am willing to pay for it to be replaced. So far I can't get them to fix the window. They don't call back as promised. I was told that the owner (Eric) would call me. Didn't call. I called back and left voice mail with the Service Manager (Gayle, I believe), no call back. The service manager immediately puts me in defensive mode whenever I have spoken with her - very grating demeanor. Every time I ask a question she immediately wants me to talk to the owner. The warranty situation feels like a "clever" business practice and they provide very poor support of their product as far as I can tell. The service manager recently asked me to see if I could get the factory to repair the window under a factory warranty knowing full well that they'd ask for the paperwork to prove that I was the original purchaser of the windows or that the warranty had been transferred to me within the 30 days. This seems to be a stalling tactic. Maybe they are trying to wear me down. I?ll post this review to every site where I can do so in hopes that buyers will be cautious when doing business with this company. It will cost me a few hundred dollars to get the window repaired but by posting this, they may lose thousands in business and don?t seem overly concerned about the reputational damage it will cause to the company. Notice on their website they have plenty of testimonials regarding sales and installation but only one video regarding the warranty which I could not get to run. Also, I don?t think any of the testimonials pertain to Window World in Woburn. Some good may also come of this post if someone selling or buying a home, who may have overlooked the window warranty, will remember to transfer the warranty. Buyer of Window World Windows beware. Buyer of a residence with Window World Windows beware. I posted the same as above on bbb.com (Better Business Bureau) and here is the response from the GM below. Note that he had time to follow-up to bbb and admit that he talked to me and promised to repair the window, but still hasn't made any moves to call or to actually repair the window. Again, beware... Comment from the Business:My name is ****, GM of Window Word of Boston. In response to this post, my records indicate that I in fact personally spoke to *** on 10/31/2014. Our discussion entailed the fact that all Window World windows come with a life time transferable warranty. However in ***** case (*** not being the original purchaser of the windows), the original purchaser failed to transfer the warranty as required upon selling their condo. Regardless of that fact, I made it perfectly clear that Window World would honor warranty coverage for the windows and window components at no charge. (Excluding Labor) Window World labor rates are well below prevailing industry rates.by on 12/29/2014

We like the new windows very much. They are much better than the old ones. Windows world provide lifetime warranty on all their windows, including broken glasses. The pricing sheet the customer finally got was so clear. And you can choose different options and change the total price immediately to see if it fits into your budget. It is like what Amazon Cloud Service Bill if ever saw one (very detailed). All other quotes were blurred and hard to figure out what would be provided.

The quote process was fast, and much less prolonged than NewPro or other more sales-y window contractors. The representative wasn't very knowledgeable about quality issues, like his sample window needed two hands to close (it popped up at the bottom when closed), and he couldn't say whether that was what the installed ones would be like, too. The windows felt cheaper and bulkier than other vinyl windows, and cost about $350 a window, with about $50 extra for the grids. Ultimately went with Seaway windows which felt nicer and were only a little more expensive.

We originally contacted this company for an estimate for replacing 19 windows and residing of our home. The salesman came when expected and explained to us that we would only have a partial presentation due to the fact that he was having car trouble and had an appointment to have the car fixed. He gave us a hurried, but adequate presentation on the windows, walked around our house and gave us a hurried oral "worst case" estimate. We were told that he would call us on Monday to schedule a date and time for him to come back out. After not hearing from him for a week, my husband called. He promptly returned the call and came out the following Monday. He measured for the siding, did his presentation and explained things to me. Note that this was on a Monday, when my husband could not be available. I took notes to relay to my husband, thinking he would give us something in writing. He looked at my notes and told me I had all the important information. His estimate, even at the lowest quality of siding, was significantly higher than the "worst case" that we were previously given. After he prepared his estimate he immediately asked if he had given us the "worst case" estimate in writing. This immediately raised my suspicions. I relayed this information to my husband when he came home that evening, and he called the salesman to ask for a written proposal. The salesman then wanted my husband to tell him which "scenario" he was interested in, and my husband explained that he would like to see all three in writing to compare. The salesman seemed a little annoyed, and to this date, at least 3 weeks since that telephone call, we have had no communication with the salesman. I would hesitate to recommend this company to anyone given the unprofessional conduct of this salesman. I would also like to note that the reason we called this company was because of the advertisements in both the newspaper and the television featuring Dan Rea.

When I first looked up the reviews for Window World their average score was a B and they seemed like a good company to work with at a reasonable price. Unfortunately our experience did not meet the grade. Window World sub-contracts their work. The sub-contractor we had was great and this negative review has nothing to do with them or their quality of work. We signed a contract with Window World early October and we were told it would take a couple of weeks for our window order to come in after our windows were measured. We received a call the day before they were scheduled to be installed saying that half of our order was processed as the 1000 series instead of the 4000 series that we had ordered. Window World gave us the option to move forward with the 1000 series with no mention that these were a lesser quality than what we had ordered and no mention of a credit. Thankfully we know to always ask questions. We learned that the 1000 series was was lower quality so we declined the 1000 series order. We were told the reorder would be ready in a week so we decided to move forward with the 4000 series windows that came in and wait for the 1000 series window order to be corrected. The subcontractor came the next day and installed the available 4000 series windows (October 30, 2013). One of the window's was measured incorrectly and this was only realized after our old window was removed. The subcontractor reinstalled the old window and ordered a new window. The bay window was also installed this first trip out and we noticed the seal around the window was defective and a new bay window had to be ordered as well. The new windows were scheduled to be installed on November 7th. We received a call the day of stating that the windows had not come in. It would have been nice if we were informed of this earlier so that we didn't have to rearrange our schedule. It was another couple of weeks before the windows actually came in (minus the bay window) with no effort on the company's part to expedite the order to make up for their mistake. The salesman that we had dealt with was very hands off too. We had called several times to find out what the status on the order was (always being told that they were going to be on the next truck, but they never were). There was a strong wind and rain storm during the time that we were waiting for the rest of our window order. The old window that was removed and reinstalled because the replacement window was the wrong size came loose and was going to fall out. We called Window World to see if they could send someone to secure the window and orginally they said that it wasn't their problem because it was the old window and not a new one. We called and left a message with the salesman who took a couple of hours to even call us back and when he did he was only reviewing information relating to our outstanding order. It wasn't until the end of the day that we were able to get the sub-contractor out to secure the window. The rest of the window order came in around the end of November, except for the bay window. We were told several times that it was on back order. The bay window was finally replaced around December 12th. I understand that mistakes happen and wouldn't have given Window World a bad review if it had only been that some of the windows came in the wrong model. I would have expected that after realizing their mistake, they would have gone above and beyond to make up for it. I would have expected that they would have expedited the new order and followed up with us and the ordering company on their end to make sure the order was corrected rather than us having to chase them for the status. I don't think a month and a half (from the end of October to the second week of December) is an acceptable amount of time to correct their mistake. Especially when they never called to tell us why there was a delay and were rude when we called them to find out what was going on.

Overall they did a good job. They had a problem with the original installation date, having only one of three windows with the correct dimensions. Apparently the factory switched dimensions on two of the units and the error was not caught at the WOW warehouse before being dispatched. The installers on both visits di a good job. The site was left clean and the windows look great.

Dealing with this company has been very frustrating to say the least. My wife and I have only been homeowners for 5 yrs. now and this was the worst experience with home renovations. There were so many issues with our window replacement I really don't now where to begin. I'll give you a timeline. Aug 13 - Salesman came out and was very knowledgeable. Ordered 10 windows in total. Good Price!! Aug 30 - Window World came out to measure. Sept 3 - Window World came out again to take a second measure. I thought to my self, wow they are very thorough. Oct 16 - Windows scheduled to be installed. Installers came in and started to remove the first window (the windows being replaced were very large 8ft x 4ft. After the first window was removed the installer let me know there was an issue with the windows ordered. He stated that 8 of the 10 windows were 7 inches to short. Not 1 inch...7 inches!!!! Window gave me two choices I have them install the two windows were the gapping hole from the window all ready removed or they could board up the gapping hole with plywood and until they can reorder the windows. We decided to have the hole boarded up. I was also told that Dan would call me the next day to discuss how they were going to make this up to us. Oct 17 - Never received a call from Dan so I decided to call him myself. Dan was nice and was willing to negotiate a better price on the windows and agreed to knock off $600 (10%). He told me he put a rush on the new window order and that he should have them in two weeks. Oct 30 - Windows were installed for the second time. Installers came out and installed the windows. Installer pulled me aside to let me know they had another issue with one of the windows. The installer tells me the top sash is cracked and they need to order a replacement part. Oct 31 - installers finished the window replacement with no other issues. Nov 12 - Window World contacted me and came out to replace the cracked sash. Installer arrives and determines there's and issue. Window world ordered the lower sash instead of the upper sash. Nov 13 - I speak with Jeff and he apologizes for the mistake and promises that he will have the correct sash replaced within two weeks. Dec 1 - Installer comes out to replace broken top sash and I identified problems with it. At the bottom of the sash there are two cracks going across the window and the window locks were not lined up so the window could not lock. Installer says he will have another top sash ordered. This has been the worst experience and it pains me to know that I have these windows in my house and that I will have to deal with Window World of Woburn because of the warranty. If I had my way I would ask them to come take out the Windows and I would have another company come out and replace them. The sad part is that I based my decision of Angie's List reviews and they didn't live up to the hype. I would recommend that potential customers stay away from this company us other window replacement companies. I thought I was getting a good deal but all I received is a constant headache of dealing with incompetent people who have no clue what they are doing. The funniest part is that I still am not sure which part of window world has the problem but until they can fix there issues I would recommend that people stay away unless your enjoy pain and suffering that comes with Window World of Woburn.
