Description of Work: I was so thrilled with Dave's work for me last year that I submitted his name and company to Angie's List, and happily recommended him to all of my friends. This year, I tried to hire him for a few additional jobs in my house, and he agreed to come and complete the work (which needed to be done by a certain date). He confirmed by email that he would absolutely be able to work for me again this summer. I called 2 weeks before I needed the work to be finished, in order to re-confirm with him, and he assured me that he would be able to complete the work. I mistakingly did not get Dave to tell me which specific date he would be coming to strat work at my house- and as my event date neared, and passed, I was terribly disappointed that he neither came nor called to explain his absence. I will not hire Dave again in the future, and will not recommend him to my friends again. His work is excellent- but his professionalism is seriously lacking.

Description of Work: I hired Dave Nelson to paint the interior of my house, and was so pleased with his work that I hired him to install 2 cabinets and 2 light fixtures, to paint the exterior of my house, and to re-side my shed. He is a painter and general handyman, although I fear that the term "handyman" does not even begin to full describe all he can do- and all he does extremely well. His painting is flawless. He is one of the few people I've ever worked with who sees problems and fixes them as he goes along- without making a big deal about it. For example, when he was painting the bathroom, he noticed that a couple of tiles were off and others loose. So he fixed them. In addition to painting, he can do pretty much anything- and does not mind saying if something (major rewiring, for example) is beyond his scope.
