Since the Baldwin brand was on the expensive side, I took the time to research on-line pricing for Baldwin and various compatible ones prior to contacting locksmiths. I contacted couple locksmiths. One had given me a quote for non-Baldwin replacements because this locksmith only carries this brand. Finally, I left a message with Star Locksmith based on the reviews on Angie's List. Bulent returned my call promptly and made arrangement to come by my house the next day. Bulent took time to present couple brands for me to choose from and also ways to save money with Baldwin by reconditioning and reusing internal parts that were perfectly fine. I went with Baldwin and I am glad I did. I am very happy with the results. Bulent is extremely professional, very pleasant to deal with and carries out his work efficiently. Going with Bulent, you will get reasonable pricing, receive high quality engineering work-ethics and have the job done correctly and efficiently. On his own, Bulent will provide the extra effort needed to put in the proper workmanship.

We moved into a new home and needed the the locks rekeyed ASAP. I called Star locksmith and booked an appointment. Bulent from Star Locksmith came to our home looked at all of the locks and discussed with us what he could do. We reviewed the pricing for rekeying all locks with separate keys as well as putting all the locks under one key. He reviewed pricing with us and we agreed on the one key plan. Bulent worked quickly and when he finished he offered to take the discarded locks. The work was quality and the service outstanding.

Bulent is simply fabulous. He came to my house within a couple of hours of my first call. He was very knowledgable and put me at ease (Of all the people I do business with I really want my locksmith to be trustworthy!). I asked about a few concerns my husband had and he told me what he thought would work best for me and why. He even told me not to spend $250-$300 on a particular item since it wouldn't be of much use to me. His logic made sense and in the end he was right. He did all the work I asked of him (and even a little extra - I asked if he noticed something. He said "yes, and I fixed that" - but he didn't charge me). I would use Star Locksmith again and I would recommend them to anyone. Great service and great piece of mind!

Had problems with my door key getting stuck in the lock and wanted to change the lock for security reasons. Bulent came within a couple hours of my phone call, changed the lock and supplied the extra keys I needed. Took him a little more than a half hour. A few hours later I had trouble locking the door (to my surprise since it had worked fine after Bulent changed the lock). Called Bulent again. He returned within an hour, assessed the situation and moved the lock plate inside the door frame up a quarter inch to ensure that the door lock bolt seemlessly connected/fit. I asked him what it cost for his second service call and he said 'no charge' which amazed me. Bulent is very professional, courteous, prompt, knowledgeable and provides superb customer service (which seems to be rare these days). Needless to say, I highly recommend Bulent's locksmith services.

Bulent came out to repair my front entryway door. The lock on the door would no longer close. I wasn't home when he came, but my wife said, and I quote, "nicest locksmith ever". I plan on using Bulent for all locksmith work from now on. Great guy.

Let me keep this brief. I emailed him monday night through Angie's list. He got back to me tuesday afternoon. I asked if he'd come out for an estimate wed at 4pm, he agreed. He looked at everything and quoted me a price. I said let's do it. By 5pm (see above) everything was done. Fast fast fast and he fixed the front door handle. Guy is the man. He's like the ninja of locksmiths. He gets in and out fast and efficient. So in short if you want a good price, and quick service, then he's your man. Oh and when I was paying up at the end, he (not me) remembered that there was a 10% off Angie's list he was advertising. So yeah add integrity to his list to, because I have so many things going on with this new house I would of totally forgotten....

I've used Star before. I find them very reliable and easy to deal with. The owner fitted me into his schedule at my convenience. I enjoyed working with him and he gave me a break on the key copies. Would highly recommend.

I was very impressed with Bulent. I got the name of Star Locksmith through Angie's List because it was highly rated and also there was the 10% discount. My experience totally met expectations. Bulent was punctual, polite, and professional. He answered the phone right away, got the relevant details over the phone and provided an estimate, and scheduled the closest time that was convenient for my schedule. He was very efficient and did a quality job. I would definitely work with him again or refer friends to him.

I purchased a new home and had planned to just buy new locks and install them myself. The day before my move, I felt like it would be worth me paying a locksmith to come, so after checking Angie's List, I called Bulent at Star Locksmith. He was at my new house the next day, in the midst of my move, and was so courteous and professional!

Bulent installed deadbolts and re-keyed the locks after we moved into a new house, plus fixed a lock that was sticking. He was efficient, well-priced and trustworthy. I appreciated how transparent he was about the pricing both during our initial contact and again when he arrived. He was also very good about cleaning up after the job was done.

I emailed on a Saturday around noon, Bulent (the locksmith at Star Locksmith) emailed me back around 7pm that night and scheduled an appointment with me for the following Tuesday. He arrived on time, listened while I explained the, somewhat complicated problem (made more complicated by my not really being able to describe the problem as well as my contractors had tried to explain it to me). I gave him the cylinders and showed him the locks and then he figured out what the problem was and patiently explained the issue to me until I totally understood it so that I could make a decision about what I'd like to do about it. He outlined 2 different repair options for me (both included ordering and purchasing new locks) and he got on the phone to, not only, price them out for me, but also to find out how long each one would take to be completed, since he knew I was in a rush. He then took the time to show me examples of what the different options would look like on my doors, using locks he had in his van. While I thought about it, he gave me a lesson in all of the different lock manufacturers to me so I could understand the benefits of each one. I then chose a 3rd option when I realized he had a faster fix with some locks he had in the truck already. He installed the new locks and then made me 5 key copies right in the van. He swept up after doing the work and took a look at another lock I was having trouble with (that I didn't have a key for). He didn't have the right tool to make me a new key right then, but he offered to swing by the next time he was in the area to do it. He was totally friendly, personable, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable--and on top of that, incredibly patient. I'd been having this lock problem since August and had been going back and fourth with the folks that had sold it to me since then and I was so emotional about it that when Bulent started offering me options to fix it, I burst into tears. While I did, he was calm, patient, and friendly. He didn't act uncomfortable (even if he was) and patiently waited until I pulled myself together enough to continue the discussion about my options. His calmness and non-judgmental attitude was PRICELESS to me--made even better that he helped me come up with a solution that worked for me and got it done in a short amount of time. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a locksmith and when or if I need locksmith services again, he's absolutely who I'll call to help me. He's a gem, truly! And I'm very happy with my new locks too.

I called Bulent on Thursday afternoon. He said he could be at my house at 8 a.m. on Saturday and was 5 minutes early. He was polite, professional, friendly. I told him the lock had been sticking, but didn't explain the whole back story. He pulled the lock apart and asked me if it had been recently replaced. I said "yes, but why?" He showed me that there were several tiny springs and screws inside the workings of the lock. He said they kept jumping around and that is what had been jamming the lock. After diagnosing the problem, he quickly fixed it and the lock is now working fine. He charged me $35 for the visit and $45 minimum labor charge. I am completely satisfied and would definitely use him again.

Star Locksmith showed up at my home at the time they said they would arrive. They replaced the deadbolt locks. They were courteous, neat and orderly.I would not hesitate to recommend them for any lock replacement project.

I had a wonderful experience with this locksmith. I called him in the afternoon and he came that same evening. He was on-time, explained his recommendations for what we were looking for, gave us a line-by-line breakdown of the costs of the project and performed the job that same evening. He even installed some locks for us on doors where we did not have a light in the area in the evening hours, which showed me this locksmith was willing to go the extra mile to get the job done I wanted. Overall an excellent experience and would use again without hesitation.

I'm extremely pleased with their service. Bulent was friendly and very professional, and even had the courtesy to call and say he'd been delayed and would be a few minutes late. Excellent service. Bulent was very polite, professional and puntual. He re-key 2 doors, put in a new lock for a porch sliding door, and put in contractor keys for one of our door. Everything was done in 30 mins. He even gave us a 10% for angie's list user.

I called and Bulent came straight away. He showed total competence and repaired the cylinder that was broken. I was so impressed that I asked him to take a look at another lock which did not have a key. He made one. I was very happy with this visit. Then, an old lock broke in November, 2012. I called him up again. He came on time that day. He showed me that a part was broken in the very old door lock. He offered me solutions and together we figured out what route to take. I was extremely pleased by this second visit. I did not have my check book with me and paid cash, so I do not have the sum for this repair, but it was reasonable. Later, I was talking to my daughter and we realized she uses Star, too, when she moved to a new house and wanted to change all the locks. This repairman is sensational. I highly recommend him.

Key had broken off in my extremely heavy sliding door out to my terrace. Bulent, Star's owner, came the same day, removed the key and fixed the locking measurement. He supplied me with two new keys. Bulent is now working on a keyless entry that will fit my sliding door. He took all required measurements and will call me as soon his is sure this lock will work on my slider. Bulent has subsequently installed a digital lock for my sliding door. I'm delighted. You wont go wrong with Star. I will use him again and will recommend him tony condo neighbors.

They showed up right on time, and went through the house with us to see what we wanted changed. After everything was decided, he went out to the truck for 10 minutes and came back with all the locks, knobs, and keys. Installation was very quick, and even made sure all the doors closed and locked easily. After all the work was done, I asked if he could help with a few doors that wouldn't latch. Although not a locksmith issue, it was fixed in moments. Great experience!
