Star Locksmith

I called Bulent on Wednesday March 19, to discuss the job and determine if the location was within his work area. Bulent recommended he come over, review the job and provide a free estimate for the work to be performed. He scheduled the estimate for the following day between 12:00 and 12:30, but called my mother to see if it was OK for him to arrive early. Bulent arrived about 45 minutes early, assessed the work to be performed and provided an estimate for the new hardware required and the cost of re-keying 7 locks to all use the same key. He provided a 10% discount because we found him on Angies List. My mother agreed to the price and Bulent said he could do the work immediately. Bulent replaced several handsets with new hardware, replaced a deadbolt and replaced an existing lock, plus re-keyed all locks to one key. My mother requested multiple spare keys and Bulent provided those keys at no additional charge. Bulent was very professional and courteous with his interaction with my mother. Bulent completed all the work within a few hours and everything was done perfectly. We will definitely use Bulent whenever we have the need for a locksmith in the future.

I contacted three locksmiths, and Star Locksmith was the only one who was be able to give me the time they could come right away. They called me 10 min before the arrival. They were friendly, fast, and professional. I will use them again for sure, and I would recommend to others :)

Bulent was courteous and professional at all levels - responded quickly to my email asking for a quote, was flexible about making an appointment the next day, gave me a 2-hour window on the phone and then called the next day to give me a more precise arrival time and arrived at that time. When he and his assistant arrived, he noticed immediately that it was a no-shoes house and offered to take his shoes off. Very thoughtful. He explained what would need to be done and why one lock would need to be replaced, and wrote out the estimate for me which matched the rates he had quoted by email. They were very quick and competent, re-aligned one lock which had been sticking, and were out of there within an hour. All locks smooth as butter now but still solid-feeling. I found them via this Angie's List page and am very glad I did.

Bulent did a fantastic job. We wanted the house deadbolts rekeyed and all 4 locks (basement included) to match. I was in no rush to get this done as I had delayed the work for a few months. When I called to make the appointment I was pleasantly surprised at the lower cost and that Bulent was willing to come out on a Sunday to do the repairs. The locks also needed some realignment which I had not anticipated would be repaired this time. But Bulent went ahead and realigned the door locks so that they now all turn easily. This has made our life so much easier as now our 8 year old can unlock the doors. Not only do we have only 1 key for the main doors (not 3 anymore! so no more confusion) we all feel secure and the door locks turn very well and easily.

They came promptly and were extremely professional, completing the job to my complete satisfaction. My only comment is that I think service providers should quote for a service call and associated labor cost, making it clear that there are two cost components to such a call. Perhaps, I should have know and it was my ignorance that was the problem. I would certainly use this company again.

Awesome service! Returned my call promptly and came out the same day to complete the work. Called when he was a couple minutes out to let me know he was on his way. Listened to what was wrong, took a look and then provided me with a written quote before starting the work. Was done in less than 30 minutes and made sure I was happy with the quality before requesting payment. Would definitely use him for any other locksmith needs that might arise.

Bulent called first to say he was ten minutes away, then arrived right on time. He assessed the problem with the lock and presented me with several alternative solutions, and prices for each. I decided on a lock, he installed it and had me check it, and then swept the floor and cleaned up. Pleasant and efficient, I would recommend him.

The lock on our front door had been giving us problems off and on for a few years -- it would get misaligned and then we would not be able to open the door until we could jiggle it enough to get it back into position. We could never use the deadbolt because that would always cause the lock to get jammed. We believe this is the original lock on our 90 year old house and probably had never been lubricated or serviced in any way. My mother was visiting and messed with the deadbolt so it got stuck. My husband decided he would be able to fix it himself; well, you know how that goes. A hole in the door where the lock used to be and a pile of small parts on the kitchen table. And then a series of calls to see which locksmith could come that same day. Thanks goodness we found Star Locksmith! He was having a busy Saturday but said he could fit us in at the end of the day. He called when he could not make his original time and told us when he would arrive. He originally thought he might be able to repair the existing lock but it was too worn, so he replaced the cylinder. He is a very diligent and hardworking man, didn't stop until the lock worked perfectly.

We were looking for a locksmith to rekey the front and back door for our new tenant. I called Star Locksmith. Mr. Hatipoglu answered the phone and came few days later. He rekey the front and back door and also replace a part of the front lock which has loose for several years. He did a great job.

Star Locksmith was very professional. He called before he came. He arrived exactly on the time we scheduled. He was very nice and honest. He did not try to replace the full lock as another locksmith suggested costing double the amount. He tightened the inside of the font door bolt lock and changed the screws with longer screws. He told us exactly what was needed and what he did. Before signing up for Angies list I contacted a locksmith who tried to charge me twice the amount for the same job Star Locksmith. I will definitly calll him if I need any other locksmith service. I would sugggest him if anyone needs a locksmith.

Prompt response to my telephone call, turned up on time (and called ahead to let me know he was coming), and price was excellent especially given number of locks. Bulent is a true professional! After purchasing our very first home we didn't know whether we'd want someone to come out and rekey the locks or if we were going to attempt replacing the locks ourselves. Since the house was pretty old and we were short on time, we decided to call Star Locksmith; it was 100% the smartest thing we could have done. Bulent came out at 6pm on a February weeknight at our request to take care of the two locks we needed done. He showed up on time and had one of the locks apart within minutes. The previous owner had damaged the front door lock casing making that portion of the job tougher than expected. I was nervous, Bulent not so much. Usually these scenarios play out with me paying even more money than expected and with this being our first 'real' house repair, I figured luck wasn't on our side. Fortunately Bulent is a pro. He made short work of the broken lock, put it all back together and was cleaning up in no time. i figured I'd be paying a ton for all the drilling and intricate repair work, but I was pleasantly surprised with the bill (which isn't something you hear all the time). We couldn't have been happier with the outcome - 2 rekeyed and repaired locks on our brand new home. Bulent was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and very careful. We will absolutely call him again in a heartbeat if the need should arise.

My experience with Star Locksmith was outstanding. I lost my spare set of keys that included not only the keys to my individual condo unit, but to the front and back exterior doors. I needed to have all the locks rekeyed, and to make things easier in the future, wanted to have the front and back doors use the same key. I also needed to be sure I could make arrangements to deliver keys to the other residents of the building for the exterior doors. Mr. Haitpoglu was extremely kind and accomodating about coming at a time of day that worked with my schedule, he provided a clear estimate up front, and he was able to make copies for all the residents of the building. I recommend him to anyone who needs a locksmith - I was very satisfied with the whole interaction.

I would highly recommend Star Locksmith. I locked myself out of the house at 6:30 AM while walking the dog. I used the phone at a coffee shop to call Star Locksmith, recalling that they had changed my locks when I moved into my house. They were able to accomodate me within the hour, completely going out of their way to do so. They were a total lifesaver, I got into my house by 7:30 and was able to make an important 8AM meeting at work. You seldom find accomodating service providers like this. Absolutely outstanding! Punctual, professional, completed the job right on site. I was most impressed with Bulent's attention to detail. He offered to replace two of our doorknobs to match one we were only re keying and had the necessary equipment with him. He installed two metal door catch plates since he noticed they were missing and finally, he suggested an alternate type of door opener to fit a tight space to make things easier to use and more accessible. He thought of things we didn't think of. Don't waste time with other folks, call Star Locksmith and know you'll get a job very well done!

Bulent is an absolute delight. He not only was on time he called and asked if he could come by early because he had finished another job. When he arrived he immediately let me know how much the job would cost. Before he stepped inside he asked if I would like him to remove shoes. He was cheerful and friendly and more than willing to answer my questions. He told me that the lock came with 2 keys and asked if that was enough and was very happy to provide me with 4. He was finished installing the lock in no time and showed me exactly what he had done. He used quality products and the installation looks professional and the lock works beautifully. It was a pleasure and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a locksmith. I would absolutely hire him again!

He moved a couple of the strike plates for the door to shut more effectively, and provided 8 total keys at no additional cost. Even better, when I said I got his name from Angie's list I got a 10% discount and charged it on my AMEX card. I'd absolutely recommend him to a friend.
