He basically gave me instruction as well as fixing everything, so I learned a lot and that will help me keep the washer and dryer in better shape in the future. He fixed things I didn't even know were a problem (the vent materials not up to code), which I really appreciated. He was friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and fair with the price.

I have only the highest praise both for the two repairmen who did the work, and for the company's responsiveness and professionalism in handling the job. My stacked washer/dryer combination is 30+ years old with some parts no longer available. During the spin cycle the agitator would shake so violently, due to worn out damper pads, that the entire machine would shimmy out of the cabinet! Getting at the damper pads would involve tearing apart the whole washer, a huge two man job. (Two previous appliance companies declined to do the work, that's how labor intensive it was.) But I dearly wanted to fix this old, very reliable w/d combination because in pricing the new ones it became clear that "they don't make them like they used to," and most reviews of the newer machines that would fit into my built-in cabinet got horrible, horrible reviews. Whatever it cost me to repair this machine would be well worth it. I contacted this company and they sent someone out the very next day. They are not kidding when they say "same day service." The needed parts were ordered, and just a few days later they called to say the parts were in and scheduled the installation for the very next day. I have never had such excellent and prompt service! The repairmen were pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. I received a phone call 45 minutes before their arrival time to let me know they were on the way, and they arrived on time. Three hours later, after much hard work and intensive labor, they'd rehabilitated by old washer!! I have used two other appliance companies in the past, but Same Day Service will definitely be my go to appliance repair company from now on.

I have to be fair. These guys run a tight ship. They answer the phones, they show up on time. They do quality work. They are not the cheapest, but hey, they DO show up. I have a problem with their billing practice though. As a landlord, I expect my contractors to show up, do the work, send me the bill and I pay them on time. I never have problem with any other people but Same Day Service company. Knowing that I will not be on the spot to make the payment and that my tenant will not be paying for the repairs, they refuse to show up for the repair without my credit card information. And they kept my credit card on file from last time they showed up, despite my request not to do so. That's the reason I gave them a D for professionalism. I hope they change their billing practice to be more landlord friendly.

Called Monday morning and made appt. same day for after 1pm. recalled company around 330pm to get status of repairman and was told he would be on his way soon. i got a call from company around 530pm and was told repairman wasn't coming so i rescheduled for following day after 2pm. Monday was a waste of time. Tuesday repairman arrived around 230pm. He was friendly and professional. I told him what was wrong with the dryer, and 40 minutes later he confirmed it. He pulled the back of the dryer off and pressed the reset button and it was good to go. Removal of the dryer back required special torx screwdriver which i did not have but will get for next time. I think the price was too high for a quick job like this and i did not get any discount for previous day of not showing up and wasting time. I may or may not use this company again, probably not but if i do its because of the professionalism of the repair person.

Great! I called at 9am and the technician was there at 1030am. Very courtiers and professional.

I called the service provider to let them know I went with a different company due to their failure to show within the 5 hour window and did not receive any apology.

It went very well, from the visit, to the diagnosis, to the refund upon deciding to go with Bosch instead.

After Greg told us the cost and left, I called my brother (an appliance repairman in another state) and he reminded me to check the washer's filter. Greg had not checked the filter. I had to use vise grips, but indeed, the filter was badly choked. Once I emptied it of a lot of crud and a pound in change, the washing machine drained properly. I called Greg on Monday and cancelled the work order. I still had to pay for his visit,(which I don't mind) but I was also being charged $40 restocking fee. I complained that he hadn't even checked the filter and he said, 'well, the pump will wear out'. Of course it will, Everything eventually wears out. In the end what I've spent would have paid for a competent service call, if he'd checked and cleared the drain. Certainly will not be using these people again.

My dishwasher door cable began to screech whenever I opened or closed it. I called to have it replaced on Sept. 25 and was told that the manager, Rich, would need to research it, and then they would need to order the parts and would call me when they were available. It took a week. I was called on Friday, Oct 2 and told the parts were in and they would come on Monday, Oct 5 to do the installation. The technician, Nelson, arrived at my house around 4 on Oct 5. He was instantly rude and overbearing! He opened the dishwasher door and said, " It is not the cable. It needs to be oiled." I said, "That is not what Rich had told me when the parts were ordered. " He said, " Rich could not have diagnosed the problem without coming to my house. And if I wanted him to oil it, he would pull it out and do that and it would be $80 more than the quote I had on the phone." I was stunned! This technician was truly scary! When I said I wanted the cable replaced, he said he didn't have it and if I didn't want the dishwasher oiled, he could just leave and there wouldn't be a service charge." I said, "Leave." And, thank goodness, he did! I immediately called and complained about Nelson to the company's receptionist. No customer should ever be treated like this. And because it is inside the customer's home, it is even worse! Shortly afterwards, the manager, Rich, called to apologize and said he would send another manager named Wayne out the next day to see what could be done. I was very nervous about seeing another person from this co. But Wayne did come and he immediately said he had the cable assembly and would install it. He was professional and fixed the door. I believe that this company really needs to find out what is going on with Nelson. He is angry and very unprofessional. I have never encountered a service technician with this kind of aggressive and confrontational attitude. Wayne told me that Nelson is the technician that services Reading, so I will not use this repair service again.

So far, not so good. Had Same Day Service company out to my home to repair my dishwasher once before. They did a great job. A part needed to be ordered so it took a week or so. This review is specific to my current issue. We are having additional trouble with the dishwasher, and with a long weekend coming up, I called "Same Day" Service on a Thursday. They will be at the house next Tuesday. Long story short, and the purpose of this review is to make anyone in need of immediate assistance aware, don't let the company name fool you. They do great work, but they are not "Same Day", or in my case, "Same Week". Update: Since we couldn't wait 5 days to have "Same Day" out to the house to look at the dishwasher, we cancelled our appointment and found another company who advertises and carries-out same day service. The problem was resolved by another company within 20 minutes.

The person who came to fix the gas dryer was very courteous and professional. I thought that the price estimate was a bit high but I needed it fixed so I agreed. After the quote, he immediately began doing the work as agreed. He found that the venting needed to be replaced also, and he did not charge me for this since it wasn't in his estimate. I was very happy with that fact and it made the price seem a bit more acceptable. I would definitely use this company again, they showed up when they said they would and everyone I spoke with was very professional.

The process went well. Bruce came in, assessed the problem accurately, then fixed it. Couldn't be happier with the results.

I ended up not needing any services from this company. I may use them in the future though.

Washing machine could not be repaired but they will tell you this rather than give you the run-around. Repairman actually tried to talk me out of coming over because he didn't want to charge me the minimum for what he knew to be the problem. I called him in anyway to confirm the issue.I have used them several times and they get here fast, know their business and do good work.

So much for same day service! we called for an appt today (Thursday) and they are not available till Saturday!!

He told me it was not worth repairing and would tell me that now than after his repairman came out and charged me the service fee. I really appreciate the honesty and professionalism this company displayed and would highly recommend them.

This company has informed service representatives to help insure that the service call is needed, and not something the customer can address.

A service person was able to come the very same day I called, and the issue was fixed in less than 10 minutes. I have used them before and will continue to use them.

The serviceman was very professional and honest and told me don't waste my money on getting it repaired just buy a new one. He was good.

Ryan did a great job of diagnosing the problem. Turns out the hidden laundry drain was clogged, and not the washer. Ryan was helpful in the next steps to be taken to fix the problem. Great service.

,My refrigerator was under repair contract. I expected the repair of the refrigerator to be covered, but I was informed that hinges are cosmetic and weren't covered. They did not have the parts available so they returned later to finish the repair. The dishwasher was making a lot of noise and the technician replaced the soft grinder (a thin sieve about 2.5" in diameter with a scraper arm that rotates around the surface). Although I was concerned about the parts and labor not being covered for the refrigerator, I went forward with the repairs. The hinges were replaced and a week later the door was jumping as I closed it (the door would close halfway and then fall 1/4 inch making a loud thunk sounds.) I called an they returned to tighten the loose hinges. The dishwasher was ran quieter, but sill was much louder than before the trouble began. It was loud enough that we needed to close the door to the kitchen and bedroom in order to reduce the noise enough to sleep. I called again and the technician returned and replaced the part, but it was still much louder than before the trouble began. At the time, I asked the technician if the dishwasher was worth repairing or should I just replace it. The technician advised me to repair the unit as it would last a long time. 6 months later the pump failed and I replaced the dishwasher. Its now less than a year since the hinge repair and the the hinge is no longer working and I am in the process of replacing the refrigerator. This was a real let down from my previous experience where they fixed the condenser cooling fan for a reasonable price and cleaned the out the dust that accumulated around the unit. At the time I asked the technician why he performed the cleaning and he said this was part of the standard service and I would get similar service if I signed a service contract. They never provided this service again. I don't think they are a bad outfit. They just seemed to have gone from a competent repair house focused on customer service to a shop focused on increasing the revenue from their customers. I did not feel like I received the same quality service as I did in the past. Given their high rating, my experience was probably a fluke.

The stove fans weren't working - the one that cleans and the one that does the convection cooking. Also the burners on the left weren't igniting. The dishwasher wasn't cleaning very well. I had read that you shouldn't scrape dishes too much before putting them in the dishwasher because soap bubbles won't form. Ok, so laugh. The technician explained that there's a mini garbage grinder in the unit that had broken because there was so much caca down there. He also found a faulty vent in the basement that had been overlooked numerous times. I get how folks can be mad about the price to repair vs. just getting a new machine. It's really frustrating and at the same time I can't fault the repair guys for the cost of parts or the cost of expert labor.

Not the best experience. Required multiple visits to rectify the problem (and multiple calls by me to them). They originally diagnosed the washer as needing a new wire harness assembly. Approximately $480.00 for the repair. I "bit the bullet" and advised them to proceed. Upon using the washer after the repair, I discovered this did not resolve the problem. A new technician came out and cleaned a device in the washer and advised if this did not resolve the issue that I would require a new water inlet regulator at an additional $85.00 or so. After the technician left, the washer still did not work. I contacted the company and protested paying an additional charge. A friendly Customer Service Manager subsequently called me and advised the repair would be done at no additional charge. Cons: I would have appreciated them fixing the washer without originally proposing to charge me additional money. Also, I think issuing me a credit would have been appropriate as it was apparent the first repair at $480.00 was not related to the problem I was experiencing with the washer. Cons: I personally found one customer service rep not very customer service friendly. Cons: Multiple contacts Cons: Took well over a week and multiple visits to resolve the problem Cons: On the multiple visits, only once were they able to let me know in advance when they might be coming. It would be nice to receive an estimate (i.e., they might be coming in the morning or afternoon). Pro: Technicians were friendly and professional Pro: Other contacts at the company were polite and friendly

They were excellent! They were very upfront and had no hidden prices. I would highly recommend this company as well as continue to use them when needed.
