Description of Work: My insurance company, AMICA, paid them directly, but seemed to feel the cost was fine. The company was excellent - very thorough and very professional. They really did a great job - finding all the mold, removing it and covering it up with some kind of sealant. They protected the house with plastic sheets and with air purifiers. I think the best evidence that I had a good feeling about them was that I hired the wife of one of the workers as our cleaning lady. She is also great!

Description of Work: Restorepro is awesome! The owner, Brian Bilowz, has been working with us for the past 6 months to repair and remediate extensive interior and exterior mold and water damage related to severe ice dams this past winter. Brian's demolition, remediation and reconstruction teams have all been highly professional, but punctual and courteous. We have used his painters, carpenters and plasterers as well and they are also great. My wife and I highly recommend Restorepro!

Description of Work: We had some water damage from an ice dam and used RestorePro to fix it. Unfortunately they were clearly overwhelmed with the demands of business and we were very disappointed with the customer service. The work that was done (for the most part) was satisfactory and they did a good job in the house (with the exception of one individual who was 1.5 hours after the scheduled time and never called to notify that he was late). Our biggest problem was with the customer service and scheduling. We were initially told that it would be a 1.5 to 2 day job. After 4 days, the job was still not completed and we ended up doing the painting ourselves. After each person that came, we had to call the company and remind them of the next step and then request to schedule the next appointment. The people we spoke to on the phone did not appear understanding of the fact that we had to take time off work for this job. They also did not seem organized with regards to scheduling or work completion. We will not use this company again and would not recommend them.

Description of Work: SINCE YOU ASKED: June 8,2015. This fiasco has been dragging on since MARCH. Still waiting for them to finish projects partly done. Every time we call we get the run-around. Would you like to see our the list of DONE vs STILL UN-FINISHED work on:front porch ceiling;back entry "hall";pantry; dining room;sunroom;bathroom. We are existing in upheaval:furniture out of place in 4 rooms to make space for workers if they ever return. NO CEILING LIGHTS IN 3 ROOMS. Woodwork broken by Demo crew has been replaced but needs staining/sealing; ceilings & walls plastered need painting. Non-opened walls need plaster splatter cleaned off or else painted,all walls. Power-washing all around house outside not yet done. Will we ever get our home back into living condition? HELP! REMEMBER, YOU ASKED! Judith & Stanley Genthner. Description of Work: I purchased this coupon because of a mold issue. I did not hear from the company within the established timeline to schedule, so I called them. Sean at the company who answered the phone told me they were not accepting new jobs for 3 weeks and that due to my issue, I should contact another company to get the work done as the mold could spread. I scheduled that already with another company and then received the email the next day telling me RestorePro could actually do the job. I'm not going to call this other person back and cancel because RestorePro does not know what is going on with their own company. I stated earlier that I enjoy the Angie's List Coupon feature but that canceling has become a huge hassle and required way more steps than should be necessary. Please issue me a refund on the coupon.

 + 0 moreThe Restorepro crew was to an individual responsive, courteous, responsible and professional. They returned our calls on a timely basis and worked well with our insurance adjuster. Their attention to detail and quality of work was tremendous. I have not had such a pleasant experience working with a construction team before and would hire them again.
Description of Work: Restorepro quoted and completed the clean up and reconstruction required after a pipe burst leading to extensive water damage. They were very responsive to our emergency and began the clean up the next day. They removed the water from the den and basement levels and then dehumidified the house to mitigate the resulting moisture and humidity. Once the clean up was completed, they quoted on the reconstruction project including: 1. Moving all heavy furniture our of the area 2. Removal of damaged flooring and sub-flooring , carpet, tiles and damaged wall board. 3. Tested all wall surfaces for water damage. 3. Tested and treated all wall surfaces for mold and mildew inside and outside the walls. 4. Removed asbestos tiles. 5. Replaced sub floor, floors, tile carpeting and paint. 6. Added additional vapor barrier and insulation to den area. The work when completed was better than original.

Everything was very professionally handled - they went above and beyond in all areas, including keeping me informed of progress. We have worked will many home improvement companies over the years and I've not encountered another with this level of service and accountability.
Description of Work: Ceiling in a basement closet collapsed due to rain and mold. They took care of the mold, replaced the closet to the studs, and replaced the section of wall in an adjoining room that also had mold. The repainted the closet and most of the room, including the ceiling and trip. Also cleaned on daily basis and thoroughly after job was complete.

I called them to deal with flooding from an air conditioner, with extensive potential damage to floors and ceilings and risk of mold. They sent a representative promptly and he said he would give me an estimate and could begin work the next day. He emphasized that, in dealing with water damage, prompt action is vital. He said that as soon as I approved the estimate they would come immediately with pads and drying equipment and an electrician to drop a chandelier in order to peer above the ceiling to ascertain mold risk. But he did not call the next day or the next, so on the second day I called the company. The company said that the rep's son had a medical emergency so he hadn't followed through. They promised to get on it right away. But they didn't provide the promised estimate or send a workman. A week after the original call there was still no response. When I called their main number, I got only voicemail. When I called their emergency number, I got voicemail and left an urgent message, but they didn't return my calls. I surmise that the job was too small, but instead of telling me that they just ignored me and allowed my problem to become potentially much worse.

Restorpro was absolutely great. They didn't just clean, they used good products and went above and beyond to clean things up from the ceiling to the floors including rugs, upholstery, everything. They were also affiliated with other service providers that are equally great to do work as well. They came in quickly, removed items that needed professional cleaning and delivered it to quality service companies and continued to handle the over all process with professionalism and respect.
Description of Work: They came out quickly and gave an estimate after a previous service provider created unexpected damage. (The first company was cleaning an air conditioning compressor and fan unit. The fan unit (which was indoors) hadn't been cleaned and was full of mold spores and filth). When he sucked it clean with his shop vac he hadn't properly connected to other end and sent the filth out the back end and contaminated all the room and all contents.

They were very good and I was really lucky to get them. They were here under an hour. Brian, the owner, took the call and I told him I was really overwhelmed, so they came quickly and immediately got to work. One of the hoses had to be ran through my living room, which has nice floors, so I asked them if they could put plastic down and they did. I felt comfortable enough with them to hire them back to take some of the base tile off and take up the tile floor. They did good work and were very respectful. Brian is extremely accessible and if I had a problem like that again I would hire them again. They were a really nice crew that was easy to talk to and I felt comfortable having them in my home. They helped minimize the affect of a flood like that on a home owner.

I had a sewage backup in my basement, flooding from a backed up pipe (which was fixed by some drain people, who did a good job fixing the blockage but left quite a mess). I wanted someone to clean and sanitize the area. I called RestorePro and spoke with the owner Brian Bilowz, who was very professional and reassuring. He gave me a ballpark quote based on my description, and mentioned that he could send a team out for a no-obligation in person quote. I made the appt. and when the team arrived they were great, too. The cost was as expected. I am very happy with the service (if not the situation that led to needing it. :)

Brian was very professional, quoted a very competitive price (I had 3 companies come in). He arrived within an hour of calling him and did not pressure me to use him, but provided complete information and advice and a written quote. Scott, who managed and did the work, arrived on time with a full crew, completed the work immediately and followed up as needed. They were courteous and clean and got rid of all the trash. They turned a nightmare into simply a burden. I left them in the house alone and all was fine. They spent the entire afternoon and the next morning working and left their drying equipment to dry it out. They came back in 4 days to inspect the results, discussed some additional work they thought needed to be done and we agreed on a very reasonable additional price. They left the drying equipment as long as was needed to make sure the work was done right. The work was completed immediately. I was very pleased.
Description of Work: I had a clogged main drain and our house sewage backed up into our basement. It was like that for days before we noticed. The entire floor and lower parts of the walls had to be ripped up and all the contaminated items discarded or disinfected.
