Reliable The Fence People

Quoted in October 2014 by John. Asked for an 8am appointment a few weeks prior and he was waiting out front at 7:50. Punctual, big plus for me! Quick walk of the property, talked through options, discussed plastic vs. cedar fencing, gave me the pros and cons of each along with a general education on work that will be performed. I had some specific dovetailing that needed to be performed to match another fence on the property, was cordial and told me how that would be done. Said he would follow up with a quote in the next few days. Professional, willing to hear my thoughts, match my other fence to the best of their ability and give his opinion. I left work and he was still sitting in front of the house reviewing notes in his car. When I arrived home that night, in my mailbox, I found an envelop with the quote for the work, diagram and items we had discussed for his installer. Basically this job was ready to be booked with a phone call and a deposit check. Thorough and Punctual, a business that does what they say they will, feels right so far. I coordinate a few other over the next weeks. One from Cleveland Fence. The guy comes out, is a few minutes late, but tells me that he doesn't use 6 inch cedar board, its hard to get and that 4 inch will look fine. Clearly he has purchased 4 inch board and is trying to move his inventory. Make a big deal out of the dovetailing that needs to be done to match. Doesn't feel right and he says he'll send a quote. 1 week nothing. 2 weeks nothing. 3rd week wife is requesting I get a counter offer so I call every number for them. I get a "ah, yeah, we sent that weeks ago, but let me just email to you again later today, whats your email again?". Rolling eyes I provide it and the quote comes in higher than Reliable. A recommendation for a fence installer from my landscaper, this guy never returns a call for a month, says he has been "out of state". Joke! 3rd quote, won't mention the name but a big fence company is great, bids $300 under Reliable but I went with reviews and personality. Winter set it, Reliable ended up doing the work in May 2015 and the crew showed up on the day they scheduled, on-time, with enough guys to perform the work in about 4 hours. Cleaned up their wood chips and many compliments from friends and family on the new fence. Professional craftsmanship performed on-time and on-budget.

Extremely pleased. Price was just a bit lower than other estimates I received so I decided to move forward with the work. Took about 6 weeks for the job to be completed, but this was communicated up front when I received the quote. Installers were on-time, finished the work quickly and left the job site even a bit cleaner than before they arrived. My dog is a very happy customer!

Two men,really good at what they do, installed the fence in one day, and the following morning. looks great. had three estimates. Reliable was by far the best price. also fixed a gate on an existing fence included in the price. company is well run. From the initial estimate , to the actual installation, was three weeks. A week before installation, they will send out a postcard with the date of installation. no brainer, choose them.

I read alot of reviews about Reliable Fence. I did receive a discount coupon in early spring and took advantage of the opportunity. They came out to give me a quote right away but it took some months to get them out to install it. Our of the four quotes I received--they were the least expensive. I had made some changes to their quote and was surprised that they sent the paperwork back to me without an explanation. After several calls I finally got a hold of the manager and was able to work something out. I share a fence with neighbor but they were unwilling to share the cost so I took it over because privacy is important to me. What I didn't realize is that stockade fence has spaces between the boards (small but you can still movement through them). I wish I was told that before installation. I might have made a different choice. When fence was installed I talked with installers about my concern about the privacy issue and they said nothing they could do about it. They also said it would take all day to install-but it didn't. It took them only 4.5 hours. I don't like when someone comes to do work and starts complaining about what is in front of them. I called the manager at the company and they did come back to redo two of the panels that were the worst which I appreciated. I would use Reliable again. I thought their customer service (if you stay on top of them) was helpful-but again, since they knew my reason for putting the fence up--I wish they told me I might have had other options for better privacy. Overall I am happy with the result and have given some of the other folks in my neighborhood their name.

The new fence is great and we were very happy with their work. The only downside was that they were so busy that there was a long wait before the fence could actually be installed, about 6 weeks.

On May 6th I met with Joe, we went over what I needed (replace a dilapidated fence), he took measurements. He told me that all he would need to supply a quote was for me to send him the fence type I wanted. As I had promised, I e-mailed him that same day with the exact type of fence we wanted. No reply confirming receipt or anything. May 12th, he e-mails me with a followup question. I reply the same day. May 17th I follow up with him, he replies asking for a few more details that I provided the same day. Again no reply or followup. Finally, 10 days later, on May 27th I e-mail him again asking if there is anything else he needs to provide a quote and how much longer it will take. He replied and told me I would get it "in the next day or two". It's been a week and still no further reply. If a company is too busy or not interested in the work for any reason, that's totally understandable but they've been stringing me along for nearly a month. I feel I've been very patient but now I've wasted all this time when I could have been looking elsewhere. If they take this long and still haven't bothered to provide a quote I don't know how long it would take for them to get to the actual work.

Went smoothly. Matt in the office helped us spec what we needed and answered our questions. Chris the estimator came to visit promptly and turned around a clear proposal. Also, helped me understand clearly what we needed to do with regards to permits, digsafe, etc. They committed to a date and hit the date. Install crew was led by a guy named Jeremy who was polite and personable. The install was done professionally and looks great. These guys aren't the cheapest fence provider (and they are not the most expensive either) but for the money they are a good value and a stress-free decision. I'll use them again for my fencing needs.

They were all very efficient hard workers. they didn't leave things laying around the yard. They cleaned up each night when they were finished. They were here for two or three days.

I thought the price was fair and decent price. I really had no problems with them they did what they said they were going to do. After the estimate, they told me it would take about a month for them to start the job. The job was completed in less than two days. I was happy with the price. Two guys came out and installed it and I have had no problems since.

Because the back yard includes an inground pool, replacing the aging fence and sagging gate was high on our priority list when we bought our new house. We obtained several quotes from reputable fencers. Reliable stood out for several reasons. Their representative was prompt, courteous, friendly, professional - and impressive for his knowledge and depth of experience. Their quote came back quickly with exact details. Their price was not low, but not the highest of the proposals. Based on my sense of their trustworthiness, we elected to go with Reliable. The crew they sent was prompt, professional, and with decades of experience between them. The crew worked hard, the materials were all as promised, and the crew leader was outstanding. Noteworthy but - frankly - expected. We selected a company noted for their professionalism, and we got exactly that. Except we got more. Instead of simply replacing the fence, the leader noticed that the original fence had not followed the property line. They created a new line so the fence is now entirely on our property. When that left a gap on a neighbor's fence, they found a few wood panels that matched the neighbor's fence and closed the gap to everyone's satisfaction. The leader was also aware of new city regulations that affected the gate, so we were able to adjust our original plan to ensure that the gate met the new rules. Last but not least, when some quirky issues arose, Reliable sent out their representative so we could talk through the issues and possible solutions. They quickly sent out some folks to make adjustments based on that conversation. Reliable proved itself to be committed to excellence and complete satisfaction of its customers. It is one thing to do a job as promised, and an entirely better thing to improve on the promise as unexpected circumstances arise. They are as trustworthy as they appear. I won't hesitate to hire them again, and that may be sooner than expected - with all this snow, another section of our fence has begun to sag. Reliable will be the first call I make when we decide to replace that part of our fence.

Things went fine. The workers were good and the service was good. They were on time.

I had received a quote a couple of months before. I thought the price was reasonable and we even lowered it a bit to better another quote I received. All seemed great and we were told we'd get on the schedule which would be about 5 weeks out. We sent in our deposit (cashed on 9/19) and waited patiently to hear about our installation date. 5 weeks passed and I hadn't heard anything so I gave reliable a call on 10/10. I was asked if I received my postcard in the mail and stated, no I never received anything. I was then put on hold and when the gentleman came back, I was told the schedule was being worked on as we spoke. I was asked to call back the next week. I was busy with work and forgot to call back the next week, but called the week after that on 10/20. I was asked if I received my postcard and I again said no, never had. I gave my info, was put on hold, and then finally I was told that I was scheduled for the coming Friday or Saturday (10/24 or 10/25) and I'd hear back before then on specifics. Friday and Saturday passed and I hadn't heard anything. Finally I called back again. Someone answered, I gave my quick story, was asked if I received my postcard again (no), then was put on hold while he looked. Someone else picked up the phone, I gave the same story, and was put back on hold. A THIRD person picked up the phone and I gave the same exact story for the third time. I was put on hold. Finally they came back on and I was told that I wasn't even on the schedule and they'd have to follow up with the person responsible for the schedule and he was gone for the day. I was then told I'd get a call back in the morning. At that time he read off my number and it was wrong. They had a 5 instead of a 6. Finally I received the call the next morning. He stating they were on their way out. At that very moment. He also stated they tried to call the day before, but of course they probably tried to call the wrong number. But if they called the day before about my installation, why was I not on the schedule when I called and asked that day before? I was not home that day for the installation. As this was extremely late notice, I asked if I could move to the next day since I would be home and was told they couldn't as they had already packed up and were on the way. Luckily I was able to get someone over there to greet them in my absence. I found the whole experience extremely frustrating. The communication from Reliable to me had been terrible and even worse, the communication within their organization seems to be non-existent. At no point did anyone seem to know why or even care that I hadn't received my postcard and no one ever seemed to know anything about the schedule. Each time I called and gave my story, they sounded dumbfounded. I'd assume they'd keep client notes about attempts to contact or installation dates assigned or missed, but that does not seem to be the case. It was infuriating.

everything went like clockwork. they are super knowledgeable, and everyone had a great attitude. dana tagliamonte was a pleasure to deal with, in fact the entire company was fantastic. their bid was reasonable (I compared several) and the workmanship is great. I wish they had installed the entire fence to begin with (i've now compared the quality of their fences with those of other companies... I just, wrongly, had gone with a friend's referral.) Excellent!! I nominate for page of honor!!!

The job was simple and went smoothly. Everyone I spoke with was very professional and competent. It was a little hard to get in touch with the person who did our quote in order to address specific issues with job, but others at the company were able to help. This was not ideal, but it worked out anyway.

We received multiple quotes from multiple fence installation companies, and this was the most competitive. We needed removal of a lot of chain link fence plus an old wooden fence. Chris came out and did a very thorough and detailed quote. After we secured the proper permits, they were out a couple weeks later to do the work. The project took four days to complete, and the workmanship is pretty good. They needed to improvise in a few places and did a nice job. Overall a positive experience, and I'd use them again.

Back in July of 2013, I had Relaible Fence do another large fencing project:..SEE Review on August 14, 2013 Again, from the start to finish, this job was well done! I cannot say enough about the professionalism; courteseous demeanor; expert advice; workmenship throughout both projects...in 2013, and just recently. Jim Dever was our salesperson again for this project...and once again, Jim was very decent to work with, and very fair with his estimates. Most people like to work with fair-minded people, with good advice. The scheduling went very well...able to get done, earlier than originally noted. And, they sent their finiest workers, two foremen, Matt and Mike....to execute the full scope of the project. Cannot say enough about these to gentlemen, they were decent, when handling my requests, as a customers, as well as, giving good solutions to any anticipate concerns. They actually, include the customer in the thought-process of the project, when necessary. I HIGHLY recommend this company...again at 10+ out of 10 rating.

The provider came out and surveyed the job. The salesman then told me I would have an estimate by Monday or Wednesday the 11th the latest. The salesman left a nice brochure and I never heard from them again. I didn't call them to ask what happened, because I don't do that. I expect them to call me. After all that's why we join Angie's list. The check offs above are based on my experience when they were here. I gave them a D because they showed up the initial time punctual and were professional when they were here but then never followed up. I also checked my rash in email to make sure the email wasn't sent there by accident. Nope nothing.

Getting the quote, scheduled an onsite visit for a quote with a sales person in July. Sales person came over as scheduled, very friendly, went over the specifications and received the quote package along with instructions (cut back rose bush, height of the fence and etc.) in a few days. I mailed back the signed copy along with a 50% deposit check in mid-August, and was told installation will take place in late September. I received a postcard with two possible installation weeks. The installation crew came as scheduled, very pleasant, hardworking and worked later than they had initially anticipated. I paid the remaining 50% balance. The fence does look nice overall, but I was not fully satisfied with the installation/some of the detail work. I emailed the office with a list of 4 issues along with photos. The office responded right away and scheduled a foreman to visit the property the following Monday. At this point, I have paid the job in full, and didn't think there is much can be done unless he take down and redo a section of the fence (fence was too far from the wall, and the same section was not leveled properly). That's precisely what was done! The foreman took down the section, had to run to the office to get some material to extend the section to close the gap, leveled and fixed all the issues that I brought to their attention. I very much appreciated how they handled the situation, and totally happy with the result!

I picked them from Angie's List. They were reliable. They were very professional. The installers were excellent. They did a great job. They were one of the top fencing companies. I would give them A's across the board.

Reliable was the second company to quote on this job, which involved replacing a similar 20 year old fence along our driveway. The estimator seemed more thorough and the price was slightly less than the competing bid, so we chose Reliable. At that time, we were told the job would be done "in the first two weeks of July." I called in mid-July to see what happened, and was told at that time that it would be another two weeks. Then I got a second call saying that the job was now scheduled for a week ahead. I get the distinct impression that Reliable's back office is either overwhelmed or just disorganized. (As a point of comparison, the first bidder was so confused that we felt it would actually be risky to hire them.) Once the Reliable crew showed up, everything went smoothly. The fence itself is well-crafted, with quality materials. The two guys who did the installation were very professional and hard-working. We're very happy with the results.

I called to schedule an estimate on 7/21/14 and the gentleman who picked up the phone asked me a few questions on what time of service I was looking for. I told him that I was looking to replace some fence and if possible, perhaps repairing some fencing and gates. He said that they were very busy and showed no interest once so ever; where not accommodating on dates as if I had to be on their schedule, my schedule did not matter even after I suggested scheduling on Saturday if that was better for them. They showed no interest and no willingness to work with me, and where anxious to hang up. This is exactly the attitude I?m trying to avoid. Thanks Reliable Fence, but ?NO Thanks.? There are plenty of Fence companies out there.

My lot is slanted, so my backyard is divided into three tiers. I was especially impressed by how they managed to install the fence with just a slight incline to the gate level. It turned out better than I thought it would. They had only one item that needed to be corrected - the size of the fence piece connecting to the previous fence at the back was not cut correctly. So another man from Reliable Fence came out the next morning and installed that remaining piece. That particular section was on a steep angle, and he managed to install the fence so that the slats were still verticle, even with the somewhat steep grade. I was impressed! Overall, I thought that Reliable Fence did very professional work. The cedar fence and hardware for the gate are of good quality and they were especially adept at installing a fence that wasn't on a flat grade. I would recommend Reliable Fence to anyone looking for quality work in installing a fence. Thank you.

I cut a tree down and it fell on the chainlink fence surrounding my pool and bent the top crossbar. I called Reliable Fence and the first question they asked was if they installed it. As I only bought the house 2 years ago with the pool and fence installed, I said I didn't know. In the most condescending manner possible, I was told that all professional fence companies hang a sign on the fence and I should be able to tell. As there is no sign, which I could never imagine would have been removed by the previous owner for aesthetic purposes in the 18 years they owned the house and pool, I informed them it didn't appear that there was a sign for them on the fence. I was curtly told they only repair fences they install. That was the end of the call.

I got a quote and have tried to schedule the work but no one will call me back for scheduling. Note, I left a message 3 times saying we were ready to do the work but had some additional requests for the fence, which may require the sales person to come back to the house, however, I'm not sure since I can't get him to call me back and talk about the job. The front desk only routes calls to the sales person who originally came to the house to write up the quote - even after I've explained that he isn't returning my calls. I thought their prices were very reasonable (got quotes from other companies). I would go with them but having no luck scheduling.

Very satisfied with the fence installation. The workers were punctual, and did a professional installation job. Would definitely recommend this company to others who are considering a fence installation.
