Reliable The Fence People

The job went well and was completed on time. We have a lot of ledge in our yard and they had all the right tools to drill the post holes. They also left a can of touch up paint for the fence in case any of the hardware needed a touch up (gate locks do not come in black and needed to be painted to match) . We are very happy with the final product. My only comment would be that clean up after the job could have been a bit more meticulous. I picked up lots of little clippings (4-6") from the chain link and some empty water bottles. We have a dog who was very young at the time and would have loved to eat the clippings.

It was a small job, so they could not tell me when they would come. Instead they used it as fill in if they finished another job in the area early. They did not come right away, and I was fine with it. In the end I was happy because they fixed the gate so it would close properly. They have repaired or installed new fence 3 times in the last 11 years. I have always been satisfied with their work.

Great! Reliable came out for an estimate and was right in the middle of 2 other firms but also gave us the most information and was clear on the project timeline. They were on-time for the installation and finished the project on-time with no issues. The fence is in great shape and really helps our yard look better. We highly recommed Reliable for any fencing needs.

They came when they said they would come, they took away the old fence and put up the new one in two days. They were very neat and professional and did an excellent job.

Very good job. installers were very professional. Had to come back to clean up some things I was not happy about...But very minor.

Communication with them is horrible and customer service is poor. We did a $2K fence 2 years ago. On installation day, they brought the wrong kind of fence (we were the ones to notice it) so had to reschedule for another day; then they installed the gate with a missing piece (we were the ones to notice it) so that was anothe reschedule to finish. Within the year, we noticed cracks in the wood which is normal, but some of the "checks" were right on the hinges for the gate. They came to look and said it was not a big deal. A year later, it was a big deal; gate was unusable but they said it was out of the warranty period (even though we called to check on it DURING the warranty period). Paid an additional $200 to get it done, but process was a nightmare. Took one month and lots of follow-up from us to even get a quote. After taking payment, they said it would be done in 2 weeks. It took another month. Name "reliable" is a joke.

I think it's a great company. Everyone I interacted with was very professional. When the installers were here I was on vacation and wasn't home so they called to inform me of a problem they were having. When I returned home I found they resolved the problem and I was very happy with their work.

I called and was able to get an appointment for a quote within a week or two. The guys showed up and were very professional and gave me a quote on location, in writing. When I called to request a small modification to the plan and to commence work, I didn't get any call back. I called four times and left two voicemails and two messages with reception who promised to pass the messages along to the quoter, but nada. So I have to go somewhere else. Unreliable fence.

Very well. The company was very well organized. About 3 weeks before the work was scheduled to start, they sent us a reminder to contact Dig Safe. One week ahead of time they contacted us to confirm the date on which the work would start. The crew arrived on time, they were very fast and efficient, completed the work in three days, the quality of the timber and fittings they used were very good and the quality of the finished fences is also very good; vertical, square, neat. The boundary fence was located in an ornamental garden and they did an exceelent job of getting the work done with absolutely minimal damage to the flowers.

We got quotes from 3 fences companies - all local, and all similarly priced. We went with Reliable because we went with our gut - and we don't regret it! We had a great experience with Dana Tagliamonte, who handled the site visit, quote, and sales/support for us - highly recommend you work with him. Our fence installation was done very well and quick! Great level of detail - the foreman Norm and his colleague Bill did a fantastic job. They followed the grading, removed some small roots in the way, and we're very careful with the property line and respecting the neighbor's grass, shrubs, etc.

HIghly recommend Reliable Fence. They promptly returned my call asking for an estimate, came out to the house, suggested ways I could save money on the installation. They showed up on time, did excellent work and cleaned up after themselves. Extremely professional. Their estimate was $3K less than a competitor. fence looks absolutely beautiful - very happy.

WOW I asked for a solid fence on the sides and open fence front and back in order to match neighboring fences The contract clearly said "solid" with an arrow pointing to the side Even so, when delivery came (after three reschedulings which ate into my work life), the team only brought two pieces of solid fence. When I called to inquire, the manager told me that I had asked for ALL open fence and that the contract had ONLY open fence listed as material. (Why, then, did the team bring ANY closed fence?) At the end of the job, the team left screws and bolts on my yard (I had made it clear that we were getting the fence to keep my 3-year-old twins safe) and also left garbage on my yard. Furthermore, part of the fence fell down the first day, and I discovered it had been secured with brass brads that are more often used for picture hanging, etc. I asked the manager for a rebate and he has been harassing me with calls and emails claiming that, as his team had to come back multiple times (i.e., to repair what they left undone or poorly done and to clean up their trash), I should be charged for the extra time Reliable? I think not!

I visited the showroom in early May to look for options for replacing a fence that was damaged during the winter storms. I informed the salesperson that I had an installer lined up, and was looking to buy only the fence materials and not installation. He was friendly and showed me the different panels in the showroom, and the corresponding price for each. I took pictures and went home to decide which style I wanted to go with. I decided on the scalloped-top fence (which was a little more expensive than the flat top), and returned the next morning to order the panels and posts. They told me that delivery would be in 7-10 days, and they would call me ahead of time. They showed up after about 14 days (no call ahead of time), and I met the delivery guy who was unloading the truck. I noticed that the fence tops were not the scalloped style that I picked in the showroom. He said that they could not deliver them as such since they would break, and I would have to cut them myself. That made no sense to me, since they were more expensive than the flat tops. I called the office, and they told me the same thing. I was annoyed, because that was information that would have been more useful at the time that I placed the order. In addition, why would they charge more for something I had to do myself? The guy on the phone was horrible. He did nothing to try to make it right. He asked what he wanted me to do, and I said either give me the scalloped top fences which I paid for or refund my money. He said he would not do either. I dropped a few f-bombs (at the situation, not directed at him). He flat out tells me that he's sure they told me at the time of order that I had to cut them myself, but I probably didn't want to hear it. Seriously, who in their right mind spends $4,500 on something and hopes and prays that the salesperson was incorrect? Again, I asked for a refund. He refused. I said I was going to call my credit company and do a charge back, and share my story on social media. He said you go right ahead. Unlike Reliable Fence, I keep my promises.

Really good experience with Reliable Fence of Boston located in Woburn, MA. The estimator was a veteran of the company and really knew his stuff. I thought i would need new panels and posts but he said that I would only need posts. Also, they installed a new run of fence in another section of my yard (fence was flat on the ground). They were running a promo for a discount on materials for an early spring install and gave me the promo rate without me asking for it (had a coupon ready just in case). I felt they were honest and delivered a premium product for a fair price. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I plan to do alot of home repairs around my house and yard so I checked out the reviews here in Angie's list for all of the work I wanted done so that's how I finally settled on this company for my fence. It was relatively easy to schedule my appointment for an estimate as they responded very quickly via email. There was some give and take finding an available time but we finally settled on this morning between 730 and 8 am. I had told the scheduler that I needed an early time as I had to get to work in the morning. At about 810 or so, I called the office trying to find out what's going on as I hadn't heard anything from anyone. I was given an abrupt notice that he'd call the estimator and have him call me. I also emailed the company. Needless to say, none of this went anywhere. The email replies consisted of sorry I'm trying to contact the estimator. That was it, no calls or anything. I did eventually email back stating that I could wait until 930 but I'd have to leave by then. Again, no one called. The email responses weren't really quick so at 9 I sent another email back telling not to bother to come anymore I've decided to go with another company. Again no one replied for another 24 minutes; at that point I had decided to leave. I did finally get a voice mail message about the same time as the email but I had already left for work. I then called the company to inform them not to bother sending the estimator as I had left. He was the same unpleasant person who answered the initial call an hour before. He didn't seem all that upset when I told him that I had decided to go with another company. Given their response to me, it makes me wonder what their customer services is like if someone is dissatisfied. I STRONGLY encourage everyone to use a different fence company. My experience with reliable was abysmal. There lack of timely communication was frustrating and their attitude on the phone only exacerbated my frustration with them. I'll take suggestions from everyone regarding a reliable fence company to use.

Fabulous experience. The price was right, they were flexible with scheduling and they showed up on time. The two guys that put up our fence were friendly and involved me in the process as much as was possible. They completed the project on time (2 days). I would definitely recommend these guys.

We had been planning to get the fencing done from past two years to cover our backyard, we got 3-4 quotes from various providers. Reliable was not cheapest ( we called them this year so prices might have gone up) but we decided to go with them because the responsiveness and honest opinion from their estimator Chris. We wanted privacy fence all around the backyard, Chris suggested since there is are no Houses in the back side and just wooded area, you don't need privacy fence there, not to waste money and asked us to get Chain link instead, he was absolutely right, we realized this after the completion of the project the backyard look beautiful and bigger. Sean and John (hope I got the names right) worked on the project, they were knowledgeable and masters in their craft. They delivered the project as promised, they were quick to accommodate the last minute changes I requested. I have already started recommending Reliable among my friends. They live up to their name "Reliable Fence Boston" is truly "Reliable"

From initial contact, to sending out a person to measure and provide a cost estimate, to the reliable and professional (and quick, less than 3 hours!!!) installation: there isn't enough positive feedback or praise we can provide for Reliable Fence company of Boston. Ken and John, the installers, were friendly and made sure everything was done to our specifications and liking before ending the project. From first contact to installation was less than a 2 week wait-time, which was reasonable for me and my household's busy work schedules. The actual installation took less than 3 hours and we were blown away by the efficiency and professionalism of the crew. I highly recommend this company to others who want or are considering a fence project.

It was a very easy process and experience. They were great to work with. Jim came out when he said he would, understood what we wanted, and gave an estimate that I thought was fair. We booked the work, and they let us know that they were booking out about three weeks. They came the week they were supposed to and took a few hours to install the fence. The guys who were here were professional and polite. The fence came out great, and we were happy with it. Slight update that I had to call them this week, about a month after it went in, because the fence was suddenly dragging on the ground when I tried to open the gate. It wasn't doing this at first so I called them to come take a look and see if they could fix it. The woman on the phone was so nice about it and said it was no problem. Jim was here WITHIN AN HOUR of me calling and fixed the problem for me. It had to do with the ground swelling, which is what I thought it was. Really couldn't ask for better customer service, which is why I wanted to write the review and let people know just how responsive they are and how much they stand by their work. Very happy with the fence and the experience!

Chris was our contact project manager. He was terrific!! My husband and I were a bit indecisive about how much of the yard we wanted to be fenced off. Chris came out twice to measure! Chris also worked very hard to give us an extremely fair price! Steve and Matt were our installers. They both were friendly and very hard workers. One little glitch at the end of the project was that one of the three gates was crooked. I called Chris right before the holiday, not really expecting him to come out until after the holiday. He was here within the day and the gate was fixed by Christmas Eve!! From start to finish, this company was fabulous! We have two very happy labs that can run around in their beautiful back yard!!

I called to schedule a quote from Reliable Boston Fence, they were friendly and responded on time. Tim came to my place in Arlington MA, to access the work needed to be done and the cost associated with it. He was able to gather my needs and provide me with two different options, the difference and his own opinions on each of the implementation. I was happy with his work assessments and decided to go with them Remember that they are pretty busy (Especially before the winter) so the actual work maybe performed 3+ weeks after you have submitted your signed quote with your initial deposit (half of the total amount) The work was performed nicely at the end without leaving mess around my yard so I would definitely recommended them to people around the area!

Fantastic people, job, and price. Reliable Fence installers came on time, finished the job, and left no mess as if there weren't here. My fence now is the envy of the neighborhood. People slow down to look at my fence every time. They had highest review on Angie's List and I can see why/how they were able to earn those ratings. Reliable did a fantastic job. Their estimate was in line with others we checked with and they were very professional. We had a bit of a scheduling snafu (wife had our child the same week!) so I was worried that I couldn't supervise like I wanted to, but it turned out it was unnecessary. I walked John through our yard, described how I envisioned things and asked for his advice regarding details I wasn't sure about. He gave some great advice and recommendations (but was flexible on things that I wanted). After the project started, I decided I wanted another gate put in. John thought the additional gate would be a good idea based upon the layout, so I asked if that was something that could be added even though they'd already started. He said it wasn't a problem and within an hour had an estimate for the addition of the gate ($350). I told him to go ahead Over the course of the three days they installed it all with minimal supervision, and it looks great. He took me on a walkthrough after the job was done to show me all the details of the job and anything that I should be aware of. For example, my yard has some unfavorable grading, so he showed me that one of the vinyl gate doors couldn't fold back as intended. They also did their best to use the leftover dirt from digging the post holes to augment under sections that had gaps. Overall, they did a great job and I'd use them again. As a bonus, a few days later when we got the finalized bill, the cost of the gate was $300 instead of $350. They beat their own estimate for a last minute request.

Company was excellent to work with. Great price, very prompt and efficient. Did a very nice job in a areas where there were many tree roots and heaved ground. There were a couple of things that required a bit of extra work later and they were very good about fixing them at no cost. I would recommend highly. Jim.
