 + -1 moreBrought my walk behind Honda lawnmower in for repair. People behind the counter seemed knowledgeable about the situation. Service took a week to complete, got the lawnmower back. Seems to be working nicely, was cleaned and ready to go.

 + -1 moreEverything went very well can't wait to use to mower. I was also in there last week looking for a belt for a different mower, they were out of stock, but instead of ending there, like another I tried, the guy behind the counter called NAPA for me found the belt and it was waiting for me when I arrived. Very very happy with these guys. Great job, but hopefully i wont see you guys too much, but if a mower needs repair i know where to bring it. thank you
Description of Work: I own a small landscaping business and one of my mowers need major repairs. These guys took the machine right in went thru everything and returned to me good as new. All within a week, which for obvious reasons is very important to me.

lawn mower repair
 + -1 moreOverall the experience went well, but haven't had much of a relationship with the business yet. Good first impression however.
Description of Work: Called to have an inherited lawn mower (that hadn't been serviced in years if at all) serviced with oil change, blade sharpening, plug replacement and front-wheel drive repaired. The mower is probably 15 years old. Good shape asthetically, but needed a lot of TLC. I spoke with Joe H. who took my information for repairs needed. His driver picked up the mower from my house. Pro Equipment came recommended by my daughter, her boss and the owner of Boats & Motors of Wakefield, MA, who fixed my snowblower in Dec. 2010, and told me they send their lawn mower customers to Pro Equipment. Pro Equipment is a small business, so not sure about their history. When I checked them out on the internet, there were two bad mentions about Joe and/or Paul on various websites for slow return of equipment, but not sure how credible those are. My mower was picked up, serviced and done in less than two days. He was also honest about fixing the front-wheel drive. He said there was a section that was bent, so he bent it back into the correct position, but the mower is so old he wasn't sure how long the fix would last and the part was expensive so because the mower was so old, it wasn't worth spending a lot to fix. I figure he could have zinged me with new parts, etc., but he didn't. So, one big point for honesty. Two days after having it picked up, I was told the mower was fixed, so went there the next day (it was a Saturday morning) and met with Joe and he explained the issue with the front wheel drive mechanism and that he also changed the air filter since it looked like it had never been changed (he was probably right). He and another gentleman put the mower in my truck and off I went. It runs great and the drive works okay, although it still hangs up a little, but better than it was. So, considering the two bad reports on the internet about this company, I'd say those guys were wanting more than they should have expected. I was pleased with the work and the turn-around time.
