Absolutely great. They came when they said they would — And ON TIME. These guys are pros! They went right to work drying out the basement, and removed the damaged (soaked) portions of the walls. Then they did all the needed testing and readings to make certain there was no growth of mold or mildew. All expense was covered by my homeowners insurance policy.

Description of Work: We used this provider many years ago when we had major flood damage. They were good then, so we contacted them to do the repair from this years damages to our kitchen ceiling due to ice dams. We have called them several times and each time we are blown off and told someone will call us but we have yet to get that call. Have the insurance check but can't get a contractor!!

The apartment upstairs from mine had a waterheater failure and my insurance company recommended Pro-Care to do the repairs after the mess was cleaned up. Pro-care contacted me same-day and set up the appointment for the estimate. The gentleman that came out to do the estimate said that the damage to the five or so walls was moderate, but that the job could probably be done in about two days. Shortly thereafter, the Pro-care folks set up the followup appointment for just a week later. As promised, the repairs took just two days (which was impressive considering it involved repairing at least six large holes in the walls and ceilings, replacing insulation and painting most of the apartment to ensure that the paint matched up correctly. I should also mention that I had a number of heavy pieces of furniture and complex electronics which had to be moved (which I was worried about) and frankly I can't tell that they were even moved (except of course that the walls have been painted perfectly behind them). I was truly amazed at the professionalism, speed and quality of the work. The walls and paint actually look better than before the water damage. The speed, professionalism, and attention to detail make me know that I will return to Pro-Care for whatever improvements I need in the future. THANKS!

We had two walls that had mold behind it. They put plastic up and closed off the space and took down the wall. They had a fan going for two days and chemicals to take off the mold. They were excellent, I expected plaster dust everywhere but there wasn't any. They were clean, efficient, and did their job. One part of their company does mold remediation and another does reconstruction and both were awesome.

This is a mixed review. The main worker, Chris, did a mostly excellent job, very neat, arrived on time and left on time every day. He is a good carpenter and made sure to install the fixtures where I wanted them and so that they would be secure. However, even though I was assured he was quite capable with installing marble flooring, several tiles broke during cutting, and then my floor tiles were uneven and "peaking", and I had to halt the floor job and it had to be ripped up and redone by another company. I received a partial credit from Pro-Care. Then, there was a dispute with Pro-Care regarding the electrical hours charged. The electrician accidentally tracked mud all over my newly cleaned kitchen floor, and accidentally left wires and very sharp staples on my basement floor and I even found some in my cat's litter box. However, the quality of the work seems fine. The plumbers were good, the plasters didn't seem to speak English very well but did an ok job, painter was good, but now I am seeing cracks in the paint lines so I'll have to do over that myself. There was good oversight on the job at the beginning of the project. The baseboards were not "scribed", so there is some spacing between the baseboards and the floor, but I've leaned to accept it. I recommend making copies of everyone's licenses, and watching the work as it is being done; to be followed up with pictures at the end of each day. Good Luck!
Description of Work: Hired them to fix my 1/2 bath due to a leak from an upstairs bath tub drain. They gutted bathroom, put in insulation, new electrical, some new plumbing, added baseboards and crown molding, and re-installed the floor and fixtures (sink, toilet, fan/light combo, vanity, towel holders, hung new door).

Our basement was badly damaged by a flood, and we needed help with the cleanup. A local realtor friend had used ProCare and sworn by them, so I decided to give them a call. They put me on "the list" but gave no indication as to when they could get to us, since they were so backlogged with calls at the moment from other people in a similar situation. Seeing as we got about 5-6 feet we were pretty concerned about mold and wanted to get the place cleaned up as soon as possible. I called a few days later to see where we were on their list and if they had any indication as to when they could get to us. The woman on the phone was very unhelpful and said she didn't know and couldn't give me any sort of a time estimate. When I pressed her for even just a ballpark, like would it be days, weeks, or a month, she just said she didn't know. About a week went by and ProCare called me back to see if I still wanted to be on the list, and I confirmed that yes, we did. Its been two months and we never heard back from them. I wasn't going to hold my breath though, so we went ahead with another company a week later for the cleanup. Its just seems lame that they wouldn't call back or even have ANY idea of when they could get to us, especially as this was an emergency situation. I'd give them a solid F except that I understand it was a super-busy time. Still, they could at least give their potential customers a call back.

I had a wonderful experience with them. The insurance company referred us to them to do the insurance work on it. It was a big project where we had a lot of water damage. It was a multiple job project and they ended up doing a great job. This was a large project and came up to a very reasonable price because it was under insurance. They did it promptly, spent a large amount of time on it and did a very good detailed work. They were great in answering phone calls, scheduling the time and they were really very professional. I paid half of the amount and the other half was paid by the insurance company.
Description of Work: Pro-Care Inc did the water damage work, plastering, some carpentry work and mold remediation work in December.

Our apartment was broken into and had a lot of damage to our door and door frame. Our insurance company suggested Pro Care. They came to assess the damage the next day and had our new door and reinforced frame ordered and finished two days later. Excellent job.

They were recommended by my insurance company. They are far and away the best contractors we have ever used. We are thinking about having them back out to install a new furnace as well. They weren't happy with the way the paint on the ceiling matched the walls so they re-painted the walls at no additional cost. They're clean, courteous and they went way above and beyond what anybody's expectation would have been. I would highly recommend them.

I found Pro-Care, Inc. as a recommendations from my insurance company, Amica Insurance. After initial contact, Frank Tambone (estimator) came to the house to give me a quote. He took his time to understand what we were looking for and explained the many options that were available to us. I also must say that he was one of 3 who quoted for us (one was well out of our price range after I gave them one and the other two low for what we wanted). Within less than a week, Frank sent us the quote in writing and it fell within the range that we thought our job would be. Because we had some plumbing questions, Andrew DeSilva (the plumbing estimator) came with Frank and he was great as well and will hook up our gas once our fireplace insert comes in. Next our crew (Paul, Chris, Chris, Vanio and Andrew) came to the house to begin the work. I have to say, they always left our house cleaner than they found it and did a meticulous job. We'd use them again and again!
Description of Work: Pro-Care, Inc. vaulted our sunroom ceiling, added 2 skylights, built a custom bookcase, added insulations & down draft kit, cut out wall to expose our radiator to sunroom and built a custom radiator cover & painted a few rooms. In the past, they redid our basement after our initial contractor (not Pro-Care, Inc.) finished the unfinished basement. They also built shelving for our garage.

The representative came to do the estimate within a week of my call and sent me a written estimate and agreement. The price is reasonable (I got estimate from another company too. Their's is a little more than half of the other company's price). They came on time and did an excellent job. The workers are very courteous and careful when they cut the ceiling. There is a small section of exposed duct(due to the structure of the house, the duct has to turn 90 degrees), they build a small box on top of the cabinet to cover the exposed duct. It was beautifully done. They finished the job on time and did a thorough clean up afterward. Since I am going to paint the ceiling myself. They put 2 coats of plaster, sanded smoothly and even gave me the instruction to paint.
Description of Work: They installed an over the island kitchen fan for us. We bought the fan last year, but unable to find people to install it. It sounds like a small job, but it is quite complicated. We want to vent the air outside and we don't have any duct. They have to remove a piece of ceiling, install a duct, do some electrical wiring and repair the ceiling afterward.

THE WORKERS WERE ON TIME, CAREFUL AND I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK. THEY STOPPED WORK WHEN IT APPEARED THAT I MIGHT NOT HAVE SOLVED MY ROOF LEAK PROBLEM COMPLETELY, AND THEY CALLED ME IMMEDIATELY. THIS MAY HAVE BEEN INCONVENIENT FOR THEM IN TERMS OF THE TIMING OF THE JOB, BUT IT MEANT EVERYTHING TO ME. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS UNBELIEVABLE. I RARELY HAVE HAD THE EXPERIENCE OF SUCH GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH CONTRACTORS - THEY ANSWER THE PHONE, CALLED ME BACK PROMPTLY, AND WERE OVERALL EASY TO WORK WITH.
Description of Work: THIS COMPANY DID INTERIOR REPAIRS AFTER A SIGNIFICANT ROOF LEAK. THE REPAIRS INCLUDED DRYWALL PATCHES, PAINTING ROOMS AND HIGH CEILINGS, RESETTING SOME CABINETS, AND EVEN SOME ADVISING ON THE ROOF ITSELF.
