(This review is late in coming-- the work was completed in December 2008) We purchased a new home and are not exactly the DIY types. We had never used a contractor before, and based on the horror stories from friends who had remodeled baths and kitchens, we braced ourselves for the worst. We were not just surprised by how well Mike worked out, but extremely pleased with how well our new bath came out, and are very happy that we found Mike. Mike was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning. He came with us on a walk-through before we had even closed on our new house to take measurements and provide feedback. He provided us with an estimate and schedule relatively quickly, and he began work one week after we closed on the house. Mike was great at working with us-- for example, we wanted to cut the price down a little, so he was cool about us doing the simpler things like painting the ceiling and the new door + trim. He also provided us with a handy shopping list so we could get all of the correct materials on our many trips to Lowe's. We made a few changes along the way, and Mike was great about providing us with timely and well-organized change orders, so we could see what the original price was and why it was changing, and for how much. Our finished bathroom is AWESOME and we are very happy with the quality of work. Mike was a little bit pricier than we wanted to spend, but based on other reviewers on Angie's List that had similar scopes of work completed, he seemed fair. In the end, he showed up when he said he would, did the work he said he would, and charged us what he said he would. All that and he's a very nice, personable guy. Who can ask for more than that? We've used him for a few other projects around the house, and he did not disappoint. We will use him again when we remodel our kitchen sometime down the road.
