Master Plastering & Painting

Good: Polite emails, wore mask as requested. Bad: Showed up 40 MINUTES EARLY, insisted that was the only time he could do the estimate. Nope. A few minutes is reasonable, but that much time and unwillingness to work with us means that we can't trust someone to follow our requests.

This review was not for the work, because no work was done. I submitted a request to Angi's to have a bathroom tile wall cleaned and re-grouted. Angi submitted the above company. I received a quote from this company for $1,200. After getting the quote I called the company to inquire what they planned on doing since the quote was higher than what Angi had estimated. A lady answered the phone. When I questioned about the work she said the owner had viewed pictures that I had sent her and the quote was fair. After this I called the company back after a few days and asked if they could do the project. She said yes. It was originally scheduled for Friday April 1, 2022. After scheduling this date I immediately found out that I had a Doctor's appointment on that date so I called back and had the work rescheduled to Monday April 4. On Thurs Mar 31, 2002 I was out and I got a call from the same woman and she asked if they could come today (Mar 31). I explained that I couldn't because I wasn't home. So she said okay and that they would come Friday April 1. At this point I was completely baffled. I told her that we had rescheduled this for Monday April 4 because I had a doctor's appointment scheduled for April 1 and that I had already told her that. She said okay they will come on Monday April 4 and she had me electronically sign a contact to that affect. I didn't here anything after Thursday March 31. On Monday I got up early and prepared everything in the bathroom for the workers to do the work. As it got close to 9 am I hadn't heard anything from the company that they were on the way. Here is where everything became even more strange. I called the same number. Instead of the lady I man answered and it appeared he was driving somewhere

They were prompt, neat and did a great job.

Quickly, they assessed the job at 9am, had a crew at 11am, finished at 3pm, clean up etc., excellent job, expertly done

I rate Master Plastering & Painting a C and that is a generous rating. The tape repair and plastering was done very well and for that I give them an A. But the cleanup was done exceptionally poorly and for that I give them an F. The net of those 2 ratings is at best a C. There were blobs of hardened plaster on my garage floor and on a number of items in my garage. I had to scrape those off and vacuum the entire floor. There are also MANY white spots on my garage floor from wet plaster spills and I have no idea what I will need to do to remove those. I advised Junior of the situation. He seemed understanding and said he would come over on the following Monday and assess the garage floor. He never came, never called or emailed and it is now 3 days later. One of the reasons I chose Master Plastering was good reviews indicating thorough cleanup. That is NOT my experience and I CANNOT recommend Master Plastering for any job.
