.Meanwhile, Lumber Liquidators emailed me, wondering whether I was satisfied, now that C. K. Flooring had sent someone to fix the mess. I explained that, leaving someone with no kitchen, dining room or living room for nearly 2 weeks, then sending a totally inept workman to do the job, and make a hellish mess besides, they can't expect a customer to be 'satisfied' that they got the 'professional' job they were sold just because they send a real floorer around for about an hour to do some repairs to the pitiful job the kid had done. I said I felt I should get my money back. I heard nothing more. Obviously neither Lumber Liquidators nor C. Kinninson Flooring care that I am not satisfied, nor that the flooring was not laid and quot;according to manufacturer's specificationsand quot;. BE WARNED! DON'T GO THERE!!!
Description of Work: My kitchen is approx. 10' by 7'. I purchased $433 worth of materials and was charged nearly $800 for the installation. Lumber Liquidators claim that their installers lay the floors according to manufacturer's specifications. Well, I had laid this very floor myself a little more than a year before, so I am very familiar with the manufacturer's specifications. Suffice to say, the kid they sent to do my floor, did not. Well, first, I was sent someone from C. Kinninson Flooring on Feb.1st to do the job, but when they pulled up the floor, it was still wet underneath from when it was flooded by a very poor excuse for a plumber, so they had to let it dry out for a couple of days; fair enough. Well, it turned out to be the better part of two weeks, with my gas stove and dishwasher disconnected and parked in my dining room with my refrigerator, and my dining room furniture piled up in my living room. Finally I was sent a Mexican boy with limited English, who clearly had no clue how to use click installation bamboo. He was cutting off the tongues and gluing them. I called the 'boss', a guy named Dana, to tell him the kid was clueless, but he was quick to tell me that I was not the professional. At the same time, though, he told me that this kid was "just going to have to stay there until he gets it right". I had been told it was a two-hour job, but at 6 p.m., after making him pull it up and re-do it no less than 4 times, I had had enough. It was obvious that he was never going to get it right, no matter how long he stayed. Then, I was up 'til nearly midnight with a can of paint thinner, cleaning glue off all the surfaces in my kitchen and dining room. I'm still finding glue smeared everywhere. And he left the pile of sawdust in my driveway. A few days later, after my complaining bitterly to Lumber Liquidators, C. Kinninson Flooring sent a guy who does know his stuff to tweak the worst part of the floor to pacify me, at which time I was informed that this boy's work often needed fixing, and that, thanks to me, he had finally been let go. Well, that was little consolation after spending a grueling 15-hour day playing foreman to a worse-than-amateur floorer, and then cleaning up his mess. I could have saved myself a ton of aggravation and $800 by doing it myself.
