We have had to make countless calls to our own electrician to fix the job done by Laurino Electric. Laurino Electric was the sub-contractor hired by our General Contractor when building my new home. He tried to and quot;nickel-and-dimeand quot; me for certain items, such as putting an outlet higher on the wall (to acommodate a TV being paced on the wall). I didnt want wires being fished...I just wanted an outlet higher onthe wall rather than closer to the floor. Keep in mind this was all discussed during the and quot;studand quot; phase of the project. so no additional effor is needed at this point. So putting the outlets higher on the wall cost more than lower. Apart from the facct that he is very expensive for costs that were not part of the general contractors price, his work is less than fantastic: Connections in several ceiling fixtures were loose, causing bulbs not to light. We were blowing circuits all the time, only to find out that some of the circuits were overloaded In the bedrooms, when you go in the room, the closest switch should be the and quot;lightand quot; switch. Instead, Laurino Electric made the ceiling fan (not the light part) the main (first) switch. Laurino Electric did the cabe in the house. Rather than remove the old cable wires from the old house, he ADDED new cables. When Comcast came to fix issues I had, they took one look at the amount of cables I had and asked and quot;who did this job.and quot; For the money charged by Laurino Electric, the job should be done more professionally. A cleaner job can be done.

I like their timeliness and technical understanding. They could cost less to improve their service. It was very expensive.

Response from Laurino Electric Co.
VERY IMPORTANT fact regarding this particular job: Laurino Electric Co was called into this job after the original electrician abandoned the job/project. Therefore the job required Laurino Electric to take on the liability of the previous electricians work, or lack there of. We feel it is important to know this fact. Frank showed up on this job almost immediately, acquired all new permits and completed this job in a timely and professional manner. We appreciated the opportunity to work with this client and wish him the best on his beautiful home.

I called Frank when I wanted to see what my options were for backup power. He walked me through all of my options and the pros and cons of each. I ultimately decided on having him install a outlet for a portable generator to tie into my electrical panel. On install day, he arrived on time and did great work. He and his helper had to move a lot of stuff in my garage to get to the panel. When they were complete, Frank walked me through every step and put a sticker on my panel with the instructions in the event we lose power. They put everything back where it was and you couldn't even tell they were here.

Laurino was pretty good overall. The price was not spectacular, he forgot a few things that he had to come back for, and he was not the best at returning calls. Even though he knew we were heating the basement he never put into the quote the price of wiring the thermostat so we had to pay more on top of the original quote.
Description of Work: Laurino did some electrical work in my basement. They did some new construction wiring and wired the entire basement. It is a 4000 square foot basement.

Frank is prompt, friendly, courteous, and professional. When he did the wiring for our roof heating cables, he spent time with us to understand exactly what we wanted and where, then showed up when he said he would, finished the work in a timely fashion, and left the work areas clean. We will call him again for our next project.
Description of Work: We've had Frank do a couple of small jobs for us. Most recently, he installed wiring and outdoor outlets so we could plug in roof heating cables at the front and back of our house.

Frank was great! He was one of the few electricians who actually returned my calls and the only one who came to the house for a free estimate (to which he showed up right on time!). I really liked the fact that he returned all my calls promptly, that he showed up on time, and that he was very willing to take our small job, so I decided to hire him. On the day of the installment, he showed up first thing in the morning as promised and worked very efficiently and quickly. He also sent professionally prepared invoice/receipts a couple days after the job was done. I would definitely use Frank again!
