Great job. They saved us from an unhealthy surprise in the future by fixing the problem before it backed up through the house.

They didn't get it the first time, but were back the next day first thing in the morning. The problem was solved.

With 50 people coming the next day, this seemed like an emergency. Late in the evening I requested a plumber and the next morning someone was at my door. Job done quickly, courteously, and professionally. Checked and routed additional piping just to make sure. Work area left clean.

I called at 6:30 PM on a Sunday night, they had several calls before mine. He said that it may be late, "maybe 9-10 PM" and that it would cost more. It would've been cheaper in the am but with no way to use the bathroom it would've been ****....So Joe D came out EARLY, called on rte and did a remarkable job! He had to remove the toilet because there was no clean out trap but he did it and clean the 100 feet to the street! He worked fast, efficiently, cleanly and cheerfully as his phone rang with call after call. I wish I had another daughter to marry him off to LOL. Honestly a great experience!

They did a fine job but I am disappointed that I am getting double billed months later. I am really hoping this is an over sight on their part and not a business practice because I almost paid the bill again. I suspect many might do the same.

Great. Our next door neighbor recommended this company, and it also happened to be on Angie's List. The workman came promptly, explained the pricing schedule to us clearly, and went to work. In addition to making a CD record of his investigation, the workman told us what he found at each stage, and his reasoning for the next steps. He welcomed our questions and input. The solution has passed the 1-yr mark just fine. The cost was reasonable and in keeping with the complexity of the job. We would definitely use this vendor again.

If you don't want to pay about $200 minimum to fix a clogged main drain and are comfortable with renting a professional snake at HD, search online for lots of good how-to's and videos. If you aren't successful doing it yourself, or you just want someone else to stick their hands, nose and face in your "black water", I'd highly recommend John's. Had a back up in the 4" main line going out to the septic tank. I dug up the inlet cover on the tank to make sure it wasn't an easy clog at the PVC pipe coming into the septic tank. Called at least 10 different local hits on Angie's List, to check price and availability. Clearly stated I wanted a price to have someone ream the 4" main line line from the basement to septic tank. John's price was the most competitive and availability was "we can have someone there in 1-2 hours max". Technician arrived on time, called 30-min in advance while on his way, as requested. Very professional, almost 30-years experience for the tech and worked for about 2 hours to unclog the "drain from HE*L". First tried to back ream from the septic tank to the house, but was getting jammed up. Then, he persistently worked opening a cast iron fitting that was frozen shut. Did his best to catch almost all the 20 gallons of "black water" that blew in his face when he opened the clean out. Thoroughly used a 4" blade to cut through the run from the basement to the tank. Mopped up the floor the best he could with the rags he had. Confirmed there weren't any other blocks throughout the main line. He was determined and would not leave until he and I were both sure that everything was resolved, and resolved completely and correctly. In the end, the price was about 40% higher than what they quoted me initially, but the job required far more time and an additional run to be snaked that wasn't expected. Happy with the service and professionalism.

My sewage drains in my house started getting very sluggish this past Thursday evening. This was a good indication that my sewage main was getting clogged. Looking at Angie's List, I noticed that Sewer & Drain Cleaning is running a promotion "$199 for Unclogging a Main Drain", and through their website I also learned that they claim a 2-hours response time. So I purchased this package. Everything followed is exactly what they claimed: They sent in Mr. Derek Days, one of their Service Technician, within 2 hours after the scheduled time next day and cleared the main drain. Mr. Days is a great guy: He worked very hard to get the main drain unclogged and left no mess behind. I am very happy about their service: My problem has gone the next day with a very reasonable cost that I know beforehand.

Very fast response via Angie's list email. Plumber was scheduled 3 hours after initial email. On time; fast work; no hassle with the quote, which was given up front. Great job!!

Extremely satisfied by the quality of service. The technician arrived on time, assessed the problem and completed the work promptly and efficiently. He took the time to explain what had caused the problem and what work he had done, taking the time to answer all of my questions. He discovered tree roots in the line, removed what he was able to, and suggested a camera-guided cleaning the next time for a more effective cleaning. Compared to other services that I have used, John's is by far the best value.

This was the third time we used John's over the past few years. As always they were at the house within a few hours of the call and solved the problem. I would definitely recommend these guys.

Sam did a fantastic job clearing the clogged bath tub drain and the washing machine drain. The bath tub drain is more complex since it is connected to another shower on the other side of the wall. Back to back bathrooms can be difficult, but Sam handled it without any problems. I would highly recommend using John's Sewer and Pipe Cleaning Company.

Great. Corey came out and had the drain cleared within 15 minutes. Not an easy task considering the trap to the drain was painted shut and 50 years old. Would call again.

I called at 8am and there was someone at my house at 9:30. Joe was very professional and did what he needed to do . He explained everything to me in terms I could understand. The charge for his services were more than fair. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends or family

We called John's Sewer for a video inspection of the sewer line for a house we had an offer accepted on. They offered to come same day, but we asked for a morning appointment later in the week. Chris showed up on time and was very friendly and professional, narrating what we were seeing on the camera as it went. It took less than an hour for the total inspection from setup through receiving a written summary form and DVD copy of the inspection video. The $300 cost seemed a little pricey for just sliding a camera down the pipe and telling us it looked fine, but that seems to be the going rate for this service and we're glad to have the peace of mind that this won't be an issue in our new home.

8pm - sink running slow to the point of not draining Liquid drain cleaner, sink plunger, snaking it myself - no dice. 9pm - capitulate the battle, send email via Angie's List 10pm - get response and scheduled for next morning (a response at 10pm!!! Really?!?) 9am next day - confirmation phone call from John's 10am - mission accomplished You can't ask for more.

It went very well. They have gave me one of the lowest quote and came to perform the job less then two hours later as promised. The guy that did the job was professional. He worked very cleanly and did a good job

Came on time. We explained the problem. It ended up that he had to do work on the main that runs away from the house. We showed him where it was and he worked for about 45 minutes. Wrote up an invoice. Explained what he did and said to call if the problem came back.
