Description of Work: John's was so attentive. He took my call right away and gave me an estimate over the phone based on a couple of scenarios. His price was very reasonable, under $200. He advised me how to handle future issues with my sewer line. Great Service - very nice young man who came to help. Very neat clean up. I would call them in a minute again!

Description of Work: Had to replace part of a sewer pipe in the cellar. Work was done quickly and a little under the estimate. Showed up when they said they would. Have also used them for emergency services and they arrive in less than an hour from the call.

Description of Work: Cleaned out the Main drain & the bathtub drain which has been slow for years. the plumber cleaned up thoroughly when he was finished, was very polite, and did the job just as asked. we will use them again for drain cleaning.

Description of Work: I needed bathroom drain cleaning which I need at least annually and I had called a plumber who came to my home, told me he didn't have the right equipment to do it and charged me $75 for his trouble. He said I should call a drain cleaning company and offered me the name of a company that he recommended. I called John's Sewer instead and they came the same day which I really appreciated after the bad service from the plumber.

Description of Work: I had a blockage in the main sewer pipe. A novice serviceman came with old equipment and did not solve the problem. It took them 2 more visits to rout out the pipe. Also, I am very unhappy that they did not bring any cleaner to clean all the brown sludge that sprayed and dotted my cellar walls and floor (which I had a new cement floor put down.) John's Sewer also asked ME for a bucket to put under the pipe to catch all the junk coming out and a contractor's trash bag which I did not have. They are the contractor! I will spend more money next time if I have to to get better service. I used Wayne's Drains last time (5 years ago) and I was extremely happy, but they are expensive that's why I tried John's.

When I started having drainage problems in the 2nd floor bathroom I called John's back in October and they manage to get things going quickly and affordably. | |When a new problem came up in the bathroom they were my first call, and once again, they were able to track down the issue and help explain the way the plumbing was done that were contributing to the issues. | |John's is on the top of my house emergency numbers list.

Description of Work: My wife and I live in an older building in Boston. The plumbing is old. My bath tub drains have notoriously drained slowly. We have been told by other drain cleaning firm’s that because of the age of the plumbing in the building, the drains were so clogged it would be impossible to get them to drain properly. I found John’s Sewer and Pipe cleaning on Angie’s List. I called them and explained my situation. Because the baths were located near each other, the customer service person quoted a standard price for the first drain, and a discount on the other two. I was happy with that. John, the technician, arrived on time. He was courteous, articulate and knowledgeable. ( Our house keeper also said he was cute) He went about his business and the result is that the my bath tubs now empty out in record time. Fantastic. I will definitely use John’s again and highly recommend them. RM

Description of Work: I made an appointment to have them scope the storm drain line from my basement to the street. They gave me a 1-hour window between 9-10am on 4/9/10. I received a call at 9:44am telling me that the person assigned to my job was at an emergency call downtown and would not make it to my house by 10am. They said they might be able to make it to my house later in the day, but they did not know when and they could not guarantee it. I rescheduled the appointment for 4/13/10. The person I spoke with told me there were no other appointments on the books for 4/13/10 and that he would book me for the first appointment between 7:30-8:30am. At 8:30am today, I called the office because no one had shown up and I received no calls. I spoke with Jocelyn who told me, "It was only 8:33am." She then decided to check the appointments for the day and told me my appointment was from 9-10am. I told her to cancel it. I will be looking elsewhere for service.

Description of Work: LAUNDRY LINE WAS CLOGGED. I CALLED ON A HOLIDAY AND THEY CAME OUT THAT DAY, ON TIME. MORE PROFESSIONAL AND CHEAPER THAN ROTO-ROOTER WHICH I'VE USED BEFORE. WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.
