Showed up after not retuning e-mail messages. Looked at my project. but never got back to me with a price.

OK! a little messy but the weather was awful

Bobby and Tino Bonanno of Bonanno Construction are top notch and we would recommend them to anyone considering any type of construction project. We have worked with them before - years back they excavated our backyard and put in new retaining walls. It was a no-brainer to call them again for our driveway project. Our driveway is sloped and goes down to our garage that is under the house. The original retaining walls were started to cave in and the drainage at the bottom was original to the house, built in 1954 so it was all filled in with dirt and we have had flooding problems in the garage over the years. Bobby and Tino worked with us on ideas and design and also recommended an electrician that they collaborate with to install a heated driveway system. They worked in coordination and we were incredibly happy with his work as well (Ben from Benjamin Electric, Inc. - please see our separate review of them also). The team that works for Bonanno is an excellent group of workers - several of them have worked for Bonanno for many years. They are neat, hard workers, considerate and just all around professional and nice guys who do beautiful work. They worked very hard - and it was not easy work - excavating, hauling large stones, and building round stone walls during the summer heat. They worked steadily and although the project is a messy and noisy one, they minimized mess as much as possible by cleaning up thoroughly each day and working efficiently and as quickly as possible. Bobby and Tino oversee the work and keep a close eye on what is going on - they respond quickly to any concerns and were always available to meet if we had questions during the process. One of the blue stone caps got gouged during the final work and they came and looked at it and the piece was completely replaced first thing the next morning - just like new - no questions asked. They pay attention to details which you do not always find when hiring people. They replaced and re-set our in-ground sprinklers (they were unavoidably disturbed during the work) and made sure they were functioning properly when the work was done - and they were. They made great recommendations for pavers and types of stone. We absolutely love our new driveway, drainage system, retaining walls and walkway! It all looks incredible and we could not be happier with the work they did - professional, friendly, detail oriented and they keep their promises. Great people to work with. Everyone in the neighborhood is commenting on our driveway!!

We called Bonano Construction because they did some hardscaping work for us at our previous home in Somerville. We periodically drive by when we are in Somerville and it still looks great! Tino was great from the first call I made. He scheduled a time to come out and give us an estimate and showed up exactly when he said he would. Once we decided to go forward he walked us though the process of choosing appropriate materials and even met us to look at pavers. The entire crew was very professional and completed the work efficiently. The project was completed late last summer and we were very happy with the results! Fast forward to this spring. We were not happy by the amount of weeds growing in the patio. I called Tino and within a day he had a crew over to remove all the weeds and completely redo all of the sand between the paving stones. We could not be happier with the service we received or the finished product! Our patio has become an extension of our living space and enables us to better enjoy our outdoor space.

Everything went great. Very professional crew that communicated well. Started on a Friday morning and removed one old patio, demo'd and removed an old fence and completed two new patios by Saturday afternoon. They look beautiful.

Tito came promptly to estimate the job and gave me a detailed bid on the work. I chose another company based on a cheaper price for roughly the same job but Bonnano impressed me also with their responsiveness and professionalism.

The job done by this company was fantastic. Tino was very responsive, both by phone and by email. He came to meet and discussed the project with me and provided a quote right away. He also suggested that I visited the stone shop to pick out the type and color of stones I would want to use, which I did with his help. The job started on schedule, and to my and my neighbors’ amazement, it only took less than a week to complete. Tino and team arrived early every morning, the crew worked hard all day, and always cleaned up very thoroughly when they leave. They were efficient, polite and professional. The end product was beautiful, exceeded my expectations. They were also very patient with me when I had a lot of questions about details of the work in progress. All in all, I am very pleased with Bonanno Construction. Their work completely transformed my front entrance. I am glad that I selected Tino’s out of several quotes I received. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to others who need masonry work done.

Fantastic! Tino and his team installed a beautiful patio and walkway under incredibly hot conditions. Tino helped us think through the design of the yard and gave us good options to choose from as well as advice on materials. Overall, we are 100% satisfied and would strongly recommend Tino to anyone thinking about stone work.

He came when he said he would and completed the job in three days. The workmanship is very good and everything looks great.

It went great. Tino returned my initial call immediately and came to my house within days. Once we settled on what work would be done he sent me a proposal within days. I agreed to it and the work was done a few days later. Love the outcome!! So professional and neat. Would definitely hire them again.

This was another fabulous experience with Bonanno Construction. Tino was responsive, timely, professional, full of advice and guidance, and always courteous and 100% focused on customer satisfaction. I especially appreciated his willingness to re-schedule his appointments on short notice to meet and discuss with me an addition to the original plan which I had failed to mention to him. The project was finished on time and on cost and the finished patio is beyond our expectations in terms of beauty, workmanship and detail. Tino offers not just construction advice but he has a wonderful aesthetic sense as well, which we much appreciated. This is our second experience with Bonanno Construction--they rebuilt our steps and front walkway several years ago. The workmanship, integrity, customer service and professionalism was outstanding on both projects--we will hire no one else to do our masonry work in the future.

Tino Bonanno came over as promised, and we started by discussing repointing of the garage. My spouse and I had assumed that the entire garage would be repointed, but he told us that it was not necessary (which we appreciated). He then agreed with us that certain joints where mortar turned to powder needed to be done (but those areas were visible only in a few small areas). Nevertheless, he told us that he would send two guys to work on repointing for two days, and it would cost $2,500 per day -- for the total of $5,000. Not knowing how many linear feet of joints (or square feet of brick) with powdered mortar would have to be replaced, even just approximately, I proposed that a vac be used to suck up all the powdered mortar, so we could see the areas where mortar needed to be replaced. We were prepared to pay for this -- because this would allow us to see the volume of work that was needed -- and in the end would allow us to judge if everything got done (not an unreasonable expectation I think). Even though the conversation was respectful and we were open to Tino's input/suggestions, and very much wanted to come to an agreement with him, he suddenly announced that he was not interested in the job -- and he turned around and left, leaving us shocked and flabbergasted. This man is not someone who wants to please his customers, understand their concerns, and find a solution that both sides are comfortable with. Given how much other work on our property, besides the garage, we were willing to give to him, we feel like we dodged a bullet.

Always professional and the attention to detail is amazing. The quality of work always far exceeeds expectations. The work is always done on time with no hassle and very competitive pricing. I highly recommend their work and have referred many others to them with great success.

The project went exactly as planned and the job was completed ahead of schedule. The owners Tino and Bobby went above and beyond to provide us with great service and talk with us on any questions we had throughout the project We are constantly getting compliments on how great a transformation the yard took and the quality of the work.

There's a reason my family only uses Bonanno Construction... their integrity. They respond immediately to my inquiries and offer suggestions that didn't even enter my mind. The work is impeccable and from my wife's point of view... clean, efficient and kept to the agreed upon time schedule.

GREAT experience start to finish - we received about 5 quotes for the work and Bonanno construction came in nicely on price, start date and design. Tino was extremely responsive and was an excellent partner to deal with. I say partner because Tino really had some good ideas, and suggestions to make sure we went in the right direction The crew was clean, punctual, respectful, and professional. They came at 7:15am on the dot every morning, got to work and cleaned up by 3:30-4 every day. It took about 3 months to find the right company to work with and now we have a company we can recommend to friend/neighbors and work with for a very long time.

They are professional, enthusiastic and the results are beautiful. They completed the work in 1 day and we couldn't be more pleased. The entire crew is very pleasant and they are great to work with. They were very patient with our struggling on stone colour and which stone inlay to use and were most helpful in bringing several selections.

I submitted a request for a quote with a couple questions and waited a week. Highly rated, but no response whatsoever. They are either too busy, ignoring Angie's List, or ignoring me. Regardless, I can't wait. Need the work done. I'll look for other providers.

Tino responded right away to my request for a quote. The first meeting went very well. He was very easy to work with and was able to provide several suggestions. His team of workers arrived on time every day, worked the entire day, and were very professional. I was amazed that they were able to complete the project in such a short amount of time. Tino did not do the column replacement or the wrought iron railings but he was able to provide names of people who could do the work. I an extremely satisfied with the quality of the work and would highly recommend this company.
