Beth Finlayson Electric contacted me promptly to get details needed to correctly set up the job and have the right supplies, and was flexible about scheduling the work. She and an assistant arrived on time, with the right-sized replacement ceiling fan, and answered all the questions I had. It's an older house with some areas updated and others not, and they worked with me to be sure everything was done properly. They completed the "to-do" list efficiently and neatly. Glad I've found a go-to electrician in the area.

Beth is an exemplary trades person. she and her team are pleasant, VERY professional, and VERY SKILLED. They came in and kicked butt - got done more than I expected.

I found Beth through the Angie's List deals. She contacted me right away although she wasn't able to fit me into her schedule for a month from the date I purchased the deal, which was fine. She showed up on time and did the work I asked her to do. She was very professional and courteous and made a good suggestion as to the placement of a light fixture in my kitchen. I would hire her again.

We bought a Big Deal. Beth responded promptly and offered to do the job on a Sunday, which was great for me! (This was because she had a large number of clients as a result of the offer and she was trying to schedule them without a long wait.) She and her assistant arrived right on time. They worked rapidly, carefully and efficiently. They put in a new outlet in a hallway and replaced an old fashioned light fixture in the basement with an LED light. Their work was excellent, and I hope to using Beth's services for another larger electrical job.

I purchased an Angie's List coupon for 2 hours of electrical labor for $99....Beth contacted me immediately, and given the size of the job, accommodated my schedule by coming early on a Saturday morning. I had some left over electrical supplies, which Beth used to save me on parts cost, and she supplied 'to code' outlets that have slip covers so little kids can't put things in the outlet (no more outlet covers), but you can easily put in a plug. She had a colleague working with her, and the two of them worked quickly, efficiently, and finished the work in less than 2 hours. I was also able to get advice on electrical upgrades, and will be getting a quote for further work. I would absolutely use Beth again, and loved the fact that I was supporting a local women owned small business!

Purchased an Angies list deal for some electrical work. Provider contacted me immediately and we set up a time. Communication was excellent and she showed up right on time. Completed some connections on my cable tv wiring and installed a bathroom fan/light/heater combo. I would highly recommend to Beth to anyone looking for a good electrician.

They arrived on time and everything was professionally done. There was the main electrician Beth and , probably, a helper or junior electrician who came to work with her. They worked a little less than hour to finish the job. I had purchased the 2 manhours of electrician for $99 Just when leaving, the main electrician Beth asked for $20 to pay for a new outlet and plate cover she used from her stock. even though it is typically a $3 to $5 combined. I have many in my stock at home and I know prices very well and both costs less than $3 to $5 combined. I did not feel good about paying 4 to 7 times markup by the electrician on materials . That was not necessary. My very positive impression on the electrician changed quickly to negative because of this unnecessary markup, even though the item is not that expensive item. It is not about cost but about unnecessary markup.

Beth had told us that she would arrive late in the afternoon. Beth Finlayson and Ben arrived at about 4 PM, as she had said. They quickly reactivated a number of dead circuits that had some issues because of wiring imperfections in old lines. After that she and my wife also discussed issues that we had with existing dimmers and fluorescent bulbs. I was off purchasing smoke detectors, that turned out to be the wrong kind. She and Ben purchased new switches with dimmers and also new smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors, and they installed these newly purchased components. They stayed until almost 9 PM. They were very helpful and considerate throughout their time in the house. I felt slightly miffed that some things were done based on what my wife and daughter-in-law asked for and Beth did not run those plans by me in advance. I think that Beth might have been a little more sensitive to the family dynamics, although that may be asking too much of an electrician working at 7 PM. On the other hand she did the work based on what my wife asked for and it was done very quickly and efficiently. The invoice gives a fair amount of information, but not as much detail as I would like. Hourly labor rate was not specified on the invoice. On the other hand, she and Ben did a lot of work late in the day, and I believe the total price was very reasonable. I would definitely hire her again and I would recommend her services to other people.

Beth and her apprentice were punctual and pleasant. The work progressed quickly and with professionalism. I would certainly use her again.

Beth and her assistant had to run a new cable line from my basement to my living room, it was a difficult task navigating the new line . Beth figured it out and accomplished it. They were very neat and cleaned up, and worked well together. Very nice to work with and have in your home. I would recommend Beth.

Beth is very professional and does excellent work. She's there when she says she'll be there. Besides the work that I hired her for she was able to take care of an additional electrical issue that I thought would be a big problem but wasn't at all. She's very knowledgeable and most importantly, honest. She won't try to sell you things that you don't need.

Beth did a phenomenal job on lights throughout our condo. The entire process was a very positive one. We scheduled the work via email for a Saturday at my convenience. Beth called to confirm a day ahead and showed up spot on time. She started right away on the kitchen spotlight systems. Not surprisingly, the previous owners did some very shoddy work on the lights (among other things). Beth offered options based on her expertise and proceeded to wire the entire kitchen ceiling and install several additional fixtures throughout the house. The work took less time than expected and was performed with superb quality at a very reasonable price. Beth is a very knowledgeable electrician with a wide range of expertise, punctual and pleasant to work with. We have already talked about scheduling additional work, including several network drops.

Beth did not simply replace the circuit breaker at our electrical panel - the same breaker had blown before. She made sure to check everything leading to the electrical panel to see if there was a more systemic problem. She discovered that the motors and controllers were indeed improperly wired to the electrical panel and rewired them correctly to prevent the circuit breakers from blowing in the future.

Perfect! Now I have a generator set up so if I lose power I'm all set! Thanks Beth

Overall, this was a very smooth experience. It's so nice to call on someone with her level of expertise who will do small jobs. We called on Beth on a Sunday and she was able to stop by to replace our door bell with a new one the next day.

Beth came out the day after I contacted her and purchased and installed a new baseboard heater. She also had time to look at another problem while she was here - a faulty ceiling light in the basement. I was so pleased with how quickly she was able to schedule the appointment, the quality of work, and the reasonable cost.

Beth was recommended to us by a contractor working on a neighbor's house who spoke highly of her work and said she charged a reasonable price (which she did). We got an appointment quickly and she showed up promptly and got right to work. We are totally happy with her efficiency and the results of the work we initially called her about and all the other things that now work. We would hire her again and have passed our experience and her card along to others.
